I ordered a large cheese pizza for delivery from Vito's while staying at a nearby hotel for business. The hotel I was staying at had very limited food options with few options walkable. So I read the Yelp reviews and gave it a try. My pizza was delivered fairly quickly. The cheese was good and still melted when it arrived. The crust was baked well with a bit of a crunch but not burnt. My only complaint is the sauce was lacking flavor. I'll consider Vito's again when I'm in the area. read more

First time trying Vito's, it was ok. Easy to place an order via phone and the customer service was good. Ordered the 16" supreme pizza. It was eh, not the best. It could've been cooked a little longer or the oven needed to be hotter. The dough right below the toppings wasn't cooked all the way, it was still doughy. The cheese in some places wasn't exactly melted all the way. I could tell because the individual shreds of cheese in some spots could be pulled apart from the rest of it, like it hadn't completely melted and fused together. The bottom of the crust was more chewy than crispy. I'll wait a few more months and then try them again to see if it gets better. read more

I absolutely love Vito's. I ate there for the first time a few days ago, and I must say they have amazing food. Who was fresh and presented it very beautiful, even the lemon that was on my plate tasted like it was freshly picked from a tree. The shrimps were cooked to perfection, and we also ordered a loaded pizza with added meatballs. My husband ordered a dish that includes pasta, shrimp, clams, mussels and scallops. The staff was also amazing our server Daniela's hospitality was amazing. We also met the manager Israel, he made us feel like family or like we were at home... so friendly! I ordered the Meatball Parmigiana with extra sauce. Not did I not get extra sauce but the meatballs tasted old with no flavor. The sauce was great and the noodles were cooked well but nothing else was edible. The veggies were all dente but were flavorless. I'm so mad I really want to go back and get a total refund but, I got it to go and we are traveling. Ticked so far off because I only eat carbs once a week IF I meet my weightloss goal and I waited all week for what wasn't even as good as my typical tastsless diet food. I have had better out of the frozen section for $5. I have eaten here before and generally have enjoyed the Ziti, Cannaloni, Manicotti, and cheese garlic bread are my usual faves. I rarely leave reviews as I give establishment's the benefit of the doubt, but this was a terrible experience. Im not from Dallas and was visiting my girlfriend so decided to give this a shot. Let me be very clear, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in the area. Experience: We place a pick up. Easy dishes so we can be in and out. Pasta/ wings/ Cesar and Greek salad. We placed it far ahead out to plan our way back. They tell us 20 minutes. We arrive 15 minutes after the recommended 20 minutes. Upon arrival, the girl upfront let's us know that our food had been voided because we hadn't shown up, but that she could put in the order again so it would be fresh within the next 20 minutes. What a great deed we thought, so we agree (tip her $5 for the nice gesture), and come back 15 minutes later. When we come back, the same girl tells us that our original order (1 hour 15 minutes ago) had actually been on the kitchen top and they were mistaken. They gave us wings, pasta, and a salad (not the worst) that had been sitting there for over an hour. No worries I think, let it slide. We get back to our place, open up the bag and food. They didn't give us ranch for our salads, the pasta nor the wings hadn't been at least the effort to be reheated, and no utensils. Not sure what type of establishment who serves food operates like that. Im surprised I didn't get a stomach flu from the cold/Luke warm chicken. Real review by an authentic person. There was too much bread and the pizza could have used more time in the oven as the cheese didnt have any browning on it. The toppings didnt have much flavor and the sauce was pretty bland. I haven't been to Vito's in probably 10 years and I am so glad we decided to check out their new location today (still on Esters, just across the street from the old location.) They are in a pretty, new, stand-alone building that is quite a contrast to their previous strip-center spot. As you walk through the front doors you immediately notice the nice upscale decor, professionally dressed hostess and servers, lovely floral/foliage accents, and a nicely lit bar area with several TVs. The menu has a good variety of offerings which includes salad, pasta, steak, chicken, and seafood dishes. They have specialty as well as create-your-own pizzas, stromboli, and calzones. There really is something for everyone. I ordered the Linguine Pescatore which arrived on a huge platter and was loaded with shrimp, clams, mussels, and an extraordinary amount of tiny scallops all cooked in a garlic, butter, and white wine sauce. It was amazing! My husband ordered Fettuccine Primavera with shrimp (chicken also available.) It had a lovely alfredo sauce and chunky veggies, it was delicious! Our guests had pizzas and thought they were great. The mozzarella stick appetizer is very good and is served with sides of ranch dressing and marinara sauce. Although it's quite popular as while I was waiting there were several people in the parking lot could it possibly be my taste buds. Very disappointing pizza. First, the crust was overdone compared to the practically raw toppings. No bubbly golden cheese: just barely melted mozzarella. The amount of cheese was very anemic. For $20 for a medium supreme, this pizza is way overpriced and under done. The worst pizza I've had in a long time. Prepare to be underwhelmed. Edit: I just called the restaurant to let them know. I was told I should have asked to it well done because of the watery vegetables. We were seated immediately and greeted by a waiter ordered the French bread with cheese for an appetizer that came out within five minutes of ordering it. We ordered the chicken Parmesan and the lobster ravioli for dinner. The chicken Parmesan was enough to bring home for leftovers both were absolutely amazing. I've never had Italian food so delicious! The pasta alone was filled with flavor. Has the perfect amount of olive oil, garlic and seasoning and with the beef, cheese and sauce, it tastes DIVINE! The mozzarella sticks are delicious appetizers! They're crispy and taste almost buttery and that butter flavor really tops it off! The salad however was just okay, but it's a side dish and doesn't really matter. I wish they added cherry tomatoes instead of an actual tomato. Also the lettuce was iceberg and I'm not a big fan of iceberg lettuce. Salad was very plain The serving size for each and every thing was large! I think 3 people could've had what I ordered so it's all very worth the price! I love having Italian food leftover. The ambiance is great! It feels very home-y. Like a proper Italian restaurant. Very comfortable and clean too. There was a cook in the back who started singing in a very Italian way and it made us feel like we were in Italy! But he only sang for like 2 minutes. I came to pick up an XL pizza and as I was going to my car, my antenna knocked it out of my hand. I tried to pick it up without anyone noticing, but someone came outside and asked me if I wanted to wait for them to make another one. I was so embarrassed, but amazed by their generosity. That's some great customer service. They didn't have to take the loss on it but they did. AND, their pizza is absolutely delicious. Placed an online order for curbside pickup. Arrived at the location and parked right in front (no one else in the pick up section of the parking lot) and followed the instructions on the email. Spoke to a young man and advised I was picking up a curbside order. He stated that they don't do curbside orders (even though I'm looking at the large sign on the window that says curbside) so I would need to come in. Ok, no problem. I walk in to see the young man sitting down and on his cell phone. He then had an attitude and still proceeds to tell me they don't do curbside even though I didn't even mention it again. Explained to him that curbside is an option online and it says so on their sign outside. He then tells me that they don't do curbside anymore because of Covid. Please tell me how that makes sense when curbside has been the main way to pick up to go orders since Covid started. I can't. I don't mind walking in to grab my order, but would it kill to have some decent customer service? Check the receipt on top of the pizza box. Lol. I have been ordering pizza from this location for the Past year and a half. I have noticed over time their quality has been going down hill. In August I ordered a medium half supreme with no mushrooms and the other half Hawaiian (where I come from that is pineapple and Canadian bacon). The pizza showed up it had no pineapple. A few weeks later I order another pizza this time I said Canadian bacon and pineapple once again the pizza shows up with no pineapple. I go to order a pizza on 10/17 I order the same thing and I told them make sure the pizza has pineapple because the last 2 times it did not have pineapple and if it did not have pineapple I would call for a new pizza and ask for a refund. The pizza arrives and it had Canadian bacon and mushrooms on it. I call back and speak with the manager and he apologizes and pulled the ticket and he said they will remake it and have it re delivered. He says it will be about an hour and I advised him I just waited 45 minutes for the wrong pizza and now I need to wait another hour? He says they are busy due to the rain and the weather and he says he will send me a new pizza but as for as a refund I would need to come in and I said that will be tomorrow it's not going to happen tonight. There is a little bit of a language barrier due to the manager being Hispanic and not having the best English. Well an hour and a half goes by and still no pizza. I call Vito's back and the manager answers and says I told you we are busy and I told him 2.5 hours is unacceptable for a pizza and if the pizza was made right the first time we would not even be having this discussion. I advised him i would be leaving a yelp review and he laughed. I told him do not worry about sending a pizza 90 minutes later and I will see him tomorrow getting a refund. Is this really how you treat a repeat customer? This will be my last time doing business with this place. read more
