We love Vito's! Especially their CALZONES!! I can't rave about it enough--the sauce is good, the cheese mixture complements each other, and the bread is great! We've done just cheese or pepperoni, and I think pepperoni is the best. We've dined in here, and we've also done takeout. Each time, the food has been solid! Service is alright, sometimes it may take awhile to get help even when they're not busy. Nonetheless, Vito's offers good portions at reasonable prices in a homey ambiance! You also get to support a local business! Definitely worth a try around these parts!

I love the beef ravioli, fried zucchini, and minestrone. I've been coming here for years, back when it was in a tiny little shopping center across the street. The food and people has been consistently great!

This food was so amazingly delicious!!! The service was excellent, the ambience gives 10 out of 10. I would recommend this place for date night, a girls night or family dinner. If you"re a good host this would be a great place to bring out of town guest. All in all you'll enjoy!

Was visiting from out of town. Everyone in our party had salad or pasta. It was very good and service was great.

Excellent food, best Italian in Irving in our humble opinion. Don't want to overhype it, check it out for yourself ... but there is care and pride put into this food and the portions are very big. We will always love coming here

My review is specifically for tonight's meal. I've had the pizza before and was lukewarm about it (3 stars). Too doughy and no other crust options except gluten free. Wish they had a thin crust. Tonight was Linguine Pescatore. For $25.95 I was not expecting the large "tray" of linguine and seafood that was presented to me! The meal was delicious with large shrimp / mussels and provided enough extra to take home for a second meal! Service provided by Ray G. was fine in every way. Ambiance is much nicer now than their old location.

Truly do not understand why it has low rating because Vito's is soo good! The service the experience is very amazing! Very single waiter we get is really nice and we have never had a problem. It's a must stop when visiting Dallas. The food portions was what you pay for. Great portions and the pizza is delicious. Love the calimari as well! 10/10 experience tbh! It's a must try, very chill vibes inside the restaurant. One time they did a great job of accommodating our table of 12!

You can bring your Texas sized appetite for lunch or dinner here ! Considerably sized portions at a great price make this a great value lunch. Ordering the antipasto salad is a must on each of my visits. Every day they have a lunch special, the lasagna was excellent. I've also tried the chicken Marsala and my favorite the Hillary Special 343 that took me 2 days to finish. I really want to try one of their Stromboli's or pizza but going back to work with a food coma is frowned upon.

The service was decent but definitely not outstanding. They did not know how to handle a party of 15. We were sat and I asked if we could change the TV to the semi soccer game. They said yes they were trying to change it to the game. They told us we could see the tv all the way across the room. They opened up doors beside us that had a party room with a huge tv with the game. We asked if we could move there and he said we can't sit people there it's only for the ac. So I asked if they couldn't get the tv fixed closest to us then we would like to be moved to the party room to watch the game since it was on anyways. He said no we can't sit you there. I said okay if you can't fix the tv closest to us we will go else where, he said you don't need to get mad. I said I'm not mad I'm just letting you know out decision. We will wait to order until Fix the tv here or move us in there if not neither we will leave. End of disagreement, they moved us into the party room. Sorry Chico for making your day hard, however we were a huge room and I don't understand why it was such an issue. Food- decent. My party ordered a lot of things but I only received photos of my food. Calmarí was good and large pieces! Chicken Alfredo was watery and didn't have a flavorful taste. Very basic flavor. Ambiance- it had very nice decor and made my students feel like they were in a fancy rich restaurant. It was clean. Probably won't come back because of the service and the food was expensive for basic taste. Oh since I was with a school district, I asked them to take off the tax I had my form to show. However they took off the tax and then tried to charge tax on the gratuity. I explained to them they can't charge tax for a school district and I will be in trouble if I show up with a receipt with tax. At the end then did it but seemed annoyed and upset.

Did not like the pizza . Ppl who thought Vito's was the best has not had many pizza eating experiences. It was edible at most. Too doughy not well seasoned. We were hungry and we ordered a large. I ate two slices and couldn't eat more. We ended up taking leftovers back to our hotel. My husband don't like wasting money. Would not recommend! Ugh!

I came up here for the first time to celebrate a friends birthday, and they chose here because it was a good middle ground for most of the friends coming to celebrate their birthday. First staff did awesome with the size of our group, though they didn't seem busy when we came. Which we did try to come during a down time! There was one person coming around offering water refills that could have spoken up a little more because unless you were right next to him you couldn't hear him but that is such a minor issue. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, not something that is the absolute best we've had but decent for Italian that you would expect to see in the area. The calzone sizes are insanely huge! My biggest draw to come back is to challenge my husband and his best friend to see if they can each finish one. Plus the portion sizes on the pastas were amazingly big. The two complaints we had food wise was bread came out with the meals, so a couple of us had gotten cheese bread for the table as appetizers thinking that bread wasn't going to come out. Also please do not get the calamari! The calamari was onion ring shaped, like perfectly onion ring shaped. Instead of it being a full piece of meat on the inside, its diced and kind of mushed together ... a friend said it perfectly that it reminded them of Burger King onion rings, only not onions. Otherwise, if I happen to be over here I'll give them another shot ... but I may not drive out of the way outside of getting that giant calzone.

I've never had anything that wasn't perfectly prepared, flavorful, and served the correct temperature. And that's what really matters in a restaurant, of course. But the vibe is odd. The other customers were very nice to me, but the staff seemed annoyed by my presence. It's bizarre. Anyway, the food alone earns them a top rating. Pro tip: Do NOT sit at the bar. What surprised us, however, was being charged $2 for a small cup of hot water with lemon. We were never informed that there would be a charge, nor was it mentioned when we requested it. In all our years of dining at restaurants, both locally and internationally--this is the first time we've ever been charged for hot water with lemon. We were also charged for an extra serving of rolls. Initially, I requested a roll without garlic, but the server explained that the rolls were already prepared with garlic butter, so we agreed to have them served. That was perfectly fine since my husband and son ate them. Later, after we had finished our pasta, the server offered another serving of rolls, he mentioned he has non garlic butter on them. We politely declined, but he said they were already prepared and would serve them anyway. Because of that, we assumed they were complimentary. We only realized when we received the bill that we had been charged for the additional rolls. While we still enjoyed the food, we believe these charges should have been clearly communicated beforehand so customers can make informed decisions and avoid unexpected surprises on the bill. I will remember this if I wanted another puttanesca next time :( From my previous 4 stars, I'll put it down to 3 because of those unacceptable charges

Now, I want to clarify my comment... because this time warp was a really great thing! The decor was true 80's. The music was also from the 70s/80s. Heck, the people working there might have been working there since the 80s too. It just had a consistent 80s feel. And it was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time! My husband and I walked in 15 minutes before the restraint closed, and we were met with a smile from the greeter. No one rushed us, no one complained that we were coming in at the end of their shift. Instead, everyone treated us as if we were the first customers of the day. I enjoyed my meal and tipped the price of the meal because of the outstanding service we received. Now for the food. I had a simple grilled chicken sandwich. Nothing fancy. And yet it was delicious! My chicken was tasty, tender, and cooked perfectly. I honestly enjoyed every bite.
