One of the reviewers must have caught Vito's on a bad day. I have patronized this little place for years, and I think it is the very best of the innumerable little Italian joints found in strip centers everywhere. In my view, the pizza takes a back seat to the other offerings. The salads are very fresh, and the house vinaigrette is so tasty I could drink it. Favorite main courses include the chicken piccata and shrimp scampi. I don't think these can be done better anywhere, and they're dirt cheap! I have been here a few times mainly for pizza. But a only twice for dine. The place is dirty, very dirty and outdated. They have these fake vines all over the place full of dust. The place has a weird odor to it. It's like they never clean. I can imagine the kitchen. The food is ok, you get large portions. Most food besides pizza and some pastas are most certainly frozen. Since my first visit to Vito's in 2008 I have enjoyed lunch here countless times. My favorite entrees include Sausage Parmesan, Meatball Parmesan, Chicken Cacciatore (two large chicken breasts accompanied with a delectable sauce. I order it with steamed broccoli subbed for the linguine, and its enough for two meals). The house Italian salad dressing is a must, and if you're extra hungry start off with the cheesy garlic bread. The new location is really good. Very open and fun. We had the pepperoni pizza, side salad and Caesar salad. We were in a hurry and the waiter was great. Pizza was perfect - crisp but not to hard. A couple of my friends found this place and said it was pretty good so I decided to give it a try. If I didn't get a recommendation from my friends I probably would have drove right past this place. It's in a strip mall and the area around the strip mall is a little shady. But when we walked in, it felt very much like the mom and pap type of restaurant. They had a takeout area to the left and then another room for the dining area where you could eat in and be served. The paintings and decor felt very much European. Dim lighting and large paintings on the walls. The server was super nice and very attentive the entire time we were there. The place isn't too big so it possibly could fill up quickly during dinner or lunch. The menu had the typical wide variety of Italian dishes and what was even better is the price was cheap!! $8-$17 average for a dish with most of them being around $10! The portion sizes aren't enormous but I almost liked that because everything is always too much food now a days. The meal definitely fed one person. The reason I have it four stars was because I was expecting it to taste better. It tasted good but I was expecting amazing. My friends had hyped it up so much that maybe I was expecting too much. I would say I got what I paid for. They also have a lunch menu as well and are open late. They don't serve alcohol but they do allow you to bring your own in the restaurant. We've been coming to Vito's for 20 years and it has always been our go to place for Italian food. Yesterday was the first time at the new building and it is impressive. We were worried that the food had changed, but we were delighted with our choices. Their Stromboli is still the best. Our waiter, Chris, was very attentive and served us promptly. This is our go-to place when we can't figure out what we want for dinner. It's a fairly small restaurant in a strip and they redecorated several years ago to make it much nicer inside. I love their Stromboli (yes, it's huge) and have them cut it in half, put half in a to-go box with extra marinara, then eat most of the other half while I'm there (hubby helps). It's delicious. DH loves their Sausage Parmigiana and I really like their Chicken Parmigiana. The salads are acceptable and I recommend the tangy house dressing. Service is pretty good unless they're very crowded; then you need to be patient and lift up your glass when they walk by to make sure they know you need a refill. Occasionally we order their pizzas and I swear no matter what size you order, they are all the same size - HUGE. They're very good with a nice soft crust. We'll always go back to Vito's - Olive Garden is across Hwy 183 from them, but we wouldn't go there if Vito's is open! read more

My boyfriend and I went to the new location last night after reading all sorts of good reviews. We were very disappointed, the service was horrible and the food mediocre. They seated us and we waited 15 mins for someone to even acknowledge us, there were 2 other waiters that I even made eye contact with, one walked towards like they were coming to assist and then turned around and walked away. I want to leave right then but the boyfriend said stay so I complied. After getting our drinks and ordering our food we waited again for our food. When the food came out it was like warm at best, the sauce tasted like it was from a jar and had a strong (not in a good way) tomato taste. This would be ok if it was a cheaper priced place but for $12-16 a plate I would have expected bigger quantities as better quality. If you want true Italian, that is fresh and priced very well go down the road to Saviannos in Euless. The service can be slow but the quality and product make it worth it. Very great New York style pizza at this place. My best friend orders from here probably once every three weeks or so. Vito's is located in the shopping center right next to Walmart on 183 and Esters. The place is kind of small but their prices are reasonable, and their staff is pretty friendly. When you arrive they give you a basket of pretty delicious buttery toast and a pretty mediocre salad, the ranch dressing is very watery too, so at less you really want the salad I recommend skipping it. The pasta is just ok, but their pizza is pretty good. If you are in the area and you are in the mood for good pizza Vito's is a good choice. read more

By chance, caught this little place out of the corner of my eye while I was driving past. I stopped in for dinner the next day.... I will say that the people are very friendly. I suggest the sit-down only when you have a lot of time though. They do have a take-out/order ahead area, I should have grabbed a menu but I was in a rush to get out after I ate. I ordered the supreme calzone and let me tell you it was bigger than my head. You know those longer (oblong) pizza plates that look like a serving platter? Yeah, it was bigger than that. The crust was surprisingly light and airy, not super dense and greasy like you'd think with pizza crust. The filling was pretty tastey, they put a giant glob of ricotta right in the middle though, so spread that around a little when you cut into it. The marinara that came with it was good, I added some Parmesan to it but personal preference only. Also, the leftovers (there were a LOT of leftovers) heat up well in the microwave for snacks/subsequent nights' dinner.... Pretty good little place, I'll have to try something else next trip. read more

This is a very small place and my expectations weren't too high. I was very pleasantly surprised. The wait staff is very attentive. Our drinks were always full and all needs met. The menu specifically states that there will be no split checks but at our table of 5 they provided us with 5 checks. That was super convenient. The food was good. Where do I start , I was sitting with my wife for 23 minutes and the server did not acknowledge us but went to the table with the party of 10. I would review the food but we didn't get to eat it even offered water . The booth we were seated at had napkins under the table and was no wiped before we sat down I also found a fork on the seat lol . Incredible . Used to be family friendly, but not anymore. Been going there since I was a child, now if you bring your child, like in my case a 2 yr old, you will be charged if you hit the 6 ppl count. Had we been informed of this at the beginning we would not have stayed. My 2 yr old did not eat anything beyond bread, and the waitress did not have to cater to her at all, but we automatically got charged 18% fee for 6 ppl at the table. The manager then told me it was my fault for not informing them at the beginning, and if I had I would not have been automatically charged, and they couldn't revise the ticket once its printed which is a lie. 1000s of restuarants revise bad tickets, but Vitos can't? Should I have informed them I had a 2 yr old not a 12 yr to the waitress who could see that? Either way the manager informed me age did not matter, the rule was the rule, so if you have babies and toddlers leave them at home before you're penalized for head count. I always tip, but I have an issue with being automatically charged for it because I had to bring my toddler with me. Completely unacceptable, families with young children who won't eat shouldnt add to their tab. read more

Love the pizza here. The crust is not too thick, not too thin and the toppings are generous. The slices are perfectly foldable! Beer is served in a frosted glass. I have had a few of the pasta dishes, such as the lasagna and the chicken piccata. They are pretty good. I really like the house dressing - a little goes a long way with that. Seriously, I go for the pizza though. It reminds me of the pizza I could get back east. That, for those who don't know, is a pretty serious compliment! This place seems authentic when you walk in, but the food is just meh. If you order pasta with garlic and olive oil, expect a pretty bland dish loaded with chopped garlic. So we walked to the counter and found a lady sitting down watching paint dry, and was told to seat ourselves, "that someone will be with you shortly." Food took a while but when it is being made instead of microwaved, it takes a minute. When the food came out, my drink needed refilling. Portions were appropriate, perhaps on the large size. Taste of the food was simply OK. I'm not a huge fan of a salad that is simply lettuce and a slice of tomato. I was on the verge of getting up to find the tea pitcher when the girl showed back up. Made a yelp account just for this. Waited 10 minutes for our waitress (if you could even call her that) to take our drink order. By that time we had decided what over priced chicken dishes we were getting (14.95 each). I got chicken marsala, the waitress asked me if i wanted a white wine sauce or red wine sauce.
