I ended up buying just one because I was asked to do so by a friend. They did not scan in the items I wished to purchase and they did not provide a receipt. When I tried confronting them about the markup, they claimed that it was less than what the supplier charged. They added that no one forced me to buy anything and that this was how supply and demand worked. I had actually frequented this pharmacy a few times since it opened (even though there's a RiteAid half a block away) because I prefer to support local businesses. But from now on, I'm sticking to RiteAid.

Nothing against the pharmacists at the other place, but the store shelves are so empty (like Walking Dead level empty) and the air unit hasn't been fixed in forever. I start sweating every time I go in. I hope the staff there finds good jobs elsewhere. Oops, this was about the 95th St pharmacy. So they've been open only for about a year but they seem to know their stuff. Transferring my prescriptions was a breeze, and the staff there are great. I get calls whenever my medications are ready. Most notably, I saw the staff treat an elderly customer with kindness and patience. It's places like this that make me love this neighborhood, and people like the ones who work here proud to support the growing Arabic community in Bay Ridge/Fort Hamilton.

I called because the pills looked funny, they assured me it was fine. I pressed that I have a peanut allergy and they called me back later to say, sorry, they did give me the peanut version because they misunderstood the prescription from my doctor. I had to go back and exchange it--so glad I didn't take it! Since then I've had several experiences where they say my prescription will be ready the next day and it isn't actually ready when I come to pick it up several days later. I don't understand how this place stays in business, and I feel very anxious about all the medicine I get from them if they're this disorganized. Looking for another compounding pharmacy even if I have to go farther away for it.

Most probably cheaper than your insurance. Stop and Shop usually has the cheapest prices. Public Service Announcement #2: I'm pretty sure I've left a review for this pharmacy before but I guess they wiped out all reviews and started a clean slate. Trying to, at least, because their service has not changed. Back in April, at the height of the pandemic, my brother had to pick up his anti-depressants from this pharmacy. A certain pharmacist apparently harassed my brother for picking up his medication because the pharmacist claims that the medication he is picking up isn't even an emergency and that he's supposed to stay at home because of COVID. This pharmacist is an asshole and there is no other way I can say that. I'm leaving this review again this time because I myself went to this same pharmacy and was treated the same way by, I believe, the same pharmacist. His name is Ray. I had gone for a consultation with a doctor for contraceptives, and I was given a prescription for 13 months of birth control because it is cost-efficient that way, not that it's anyone's business - especially Ray, the pharmacist. He then made snide comments and accused me of picking up too much medication so that I can resell them. He also gave unsolicited advice when he said that the medication I'm picking up causes high blood pressure and mocks me saying "Your body, your choice right?" When I clarified what he said because I wasn't sure if I heard him properly, he sarcastically responded, "How long have you been a pharmacist?" He's an asshole and I'm not going to sugarcoat that. I can't believe he still works there even if I've already called the manager back in April to complain about this guy. I have a lot of respect for people working in this industry, especially during this time. However, I have no tolerance for this kind of behavior.

I haven't had any problem yet with the digital transfer from my clinic to BBRX Pharmacy. Normally they give small gifts depending on what prescription you are prescribed. Also for each prescription they will give you this prescription receipt sticker ($1 worth) to use in their Pharmacy. They also have an UPS Access Point here which is very convenient for the community!
