Ay Dios Mio! No one has yelped about Visual Eyes yet?!? I've been a patient here since the Dr. Artis days. I hung in thru the Dr. Grillo days. And now, I'm still in there with the inestimable Dr. Foster. I went today for my eye exam and its even more high tech. They have all of these new machines that blow puffs of air at your eyeballs and show you pictures of houses WAAAAAY far off in the distance, oh wait, maaaaybe I just couldn't see it... Anyway, the staff is super nice. They take all kinds of insurance and credit cards. And, if you hadn't guessed from my opening line, they're bi-lingual. Yep. They habla espanol. Even Dr. Foster. He's got great bedside manner, sense of humor, and technical expertise. I swear by Visual Eyes. The Dr, staff, and services there are top notch. They care for your eyes at Visual Eyes. read more

Under NEW and IMPROVED Management. Manager was very accommodating. I have had some issues in the past but I enjoy the wide selection of name brand frames. I was originally helped by David, and the manager overlooked his work and assured my glasses were measured and fitted properly before sending to the lab. Dr. Sasser was very attentive and professional during my exam. I felt he took his time getting my prescription. Got my glasses in 17 days. Came out GREAT! I can SEE! Maybe the owner got it right this time! I recommend to see Kathy and Dr. Sasser, they are a great team. zyou will not be disappointed. read more

I have been searching for an eye Dr's office ever since the Dr I used to see at an office in Briggs Chaney left. I called this office located along University Blvd, Hyattsville MD and fortunately they had an opening and so I got same day appointment on 05/17/2019. I walked in not knowing what to expect since it was my first visit to that office. My first impression was the friendly and approachable as well as professional staff who attended to me. The services were fast, staff were knowledgeable in their areas especially the Dr who examined and gave me the right prescription. Joyce and other colleague were awesome that day. They patiently guided me in selecting the right frame, and thoroughly explained the co-payment aspect of my bill to my understanding. In-fact I really love the frame. On 06/03/2019, when the eye glass was ready for pick up, the manager Valisa on that day was great. There was a discrepancy on my bill, she did not brush it aside but took her time to go through it and corrected the anomaly. Valisa made sure my eye glass was right and also got me the right case for it. Overall, the staff who attended to me were great and I was satisfied with the services hence the 5 star and will therefore recommend this office to all that are looking for quality read more

Never go here. I went here for a doctor's appointment for a prescription for contact lenses. Just a prescription. I got the prescription, but never got contacts from this office. That did not stop them from charging me $190 for the contact lenses that I never ordered or received. I have been in a year-long battle with their billing department (not in the office) and the office to have this resolved, and it never is. I will never ever go to a Visual Eyes again, and I'll never suggest that anyone go to this location. read more

I would consider another eye doctor! I had a scheduled 3p appointment. I arrived at 2:55p to find the doors to the business closed and locked. I waited outside of the door, along with about 6 others. They finally opened the doors about 8 minutes later. I waited until the 6 others signed in and when I was next in line I approached the counter. One of the two front desk ladies was not professional at all. I overheard her talking to the other front desk lady about one of the customers who was only a few feet away. After a brief wait my name was called. The new optometrist, Lorena Riveros, was, however, very friendly. She said she had only been with the company for about one month and had moved there from Miami. My overall experience was not THAT bad but I would consider another eye doctor if you're looking for quality experience. The shopping complex was a little tricky to enter and the all the businesses seem to be run by people of Hispanic origin. read more

It's very hard to find a good optometrist with a good team of staff, I do not recommended this place to anyone. I've been wearing glasses since the age of 6 and this has been the worst experience. First, the opticians are interns. I have yet to see an actual MD present in the office. The intern who examined me had given me a prescription that was to high, I was dizzy and could not see clearly at all.I had to go back for a second exam, again I saw an intern. Fortunately the second RX is working out, but considering what one pays out of pocket, one should see a medical doctor or at least have a doctor supervising during exams. Aside from my bad experience with the RX, the staff does not carry themselves well. Everyone is hovers around talking, including the "doctors." They look annoyed and seem impatient, as if displeased with their jobs. They're more focused on what song is going to play next on the radio rather than which patient to attend next. I had referred my sister there considering they are one of the few places that take our insurance and her experience was admittingly worse than mine. The staff member who helped her pick out frames had ordered $400 lenses! Total out of pocket was $585 for one pair of frames because they claimed she needed hi 1.67 lenses. You can find the same type of lenses for a lot less online. She wanted the order canceled, but they refused to do so. Bottom line they are money hungry! The company spends less money by hiring interns to examine the patients. They will sell you expensive frames.They are dishonest and provide horrible customer service. read more

I swear this place has gone from a million dollar practice to idk what they are always changing staff every single time is always someone different! if they didnt realize by now that you loose patients when you cant even keep the same staff, its really ridiculous. I dont like the manager their shes very rude and not friendly at all! Deff will not be going back! HORRID!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!! And ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! I have contacted these ppl sevvvveral times and the receptionists ALL seem to have an IQ of under 60. I swesr I'm not exaggerating. I literally have to speak to them like you would a 5 year old so they can understand. It's not the language barrier or that English isn't most of their first language.... They literally are just DUMB. 12minutes to book an appointment???? Unacceptable!! I have had 3 interactions w/ them and the one in Greenbelt and both locations are troublesome. They are convenient in terms of location which is largely why I dealt w/ them but they are total nuisance... and overpriced too. None of the 3 girls I spoke to knew what the hell any of the stores policies or offerings were. They all sounded pleasant but hey, you have to when you realize you don't know your job well and are dumb as a sack of rocks. Kelly G.'s review HAS to be a fake cuz there's NOTHING right about these idiots..... and if you're a optometrist, yet too stupid to know how badly your stff is affecting your income, then you don't need to be the one working on my eyes! I have been a patient here for years and have never had any problems. The patient coordinators are very friendly and knowledgeable about the patients coming in and how to help them as well as the doctor taking care of you; he is very friendly and is informative throughout the whole exam. Glasses and/or contact lenses come in very quickly. Great service and great clinic overall. read more

I would not recommend this office to my worst enemy. FRAUD OPERATION is what you get. I paid almost $1000 for a pair of glasses at the Silver Spring loc and they did not install the lens I paid for. When I picked up the glasses & realized they were not the transition lenses I paid for, I immediately contacted the office to discuss the mistake I was told to contact them the following Monday by the manager. I contacted the manager as instructed. I was told that she was too busy and to call back at a later time. For the next 18 months I was given the run around. On numerous attempts on my part via phone, email, and in-person I was told to come back, call back, or promised followup was not kept, and getting every excuse in the book why the issue was still not resolved I just gave up and decided to file a complaint with the insurance provider. Ironically, new management contacted me shortly after to resolve the issue inherited from previous management and expressed the desire to fix the problem. It's now over 2 years later and the problem has not been resolved. Instead, the solution was to pay more money for an exam and lenses on top off the $$$ they had already scammed out of me. I've moved forward and filed a grievance with the insurance company and a complaint with the BBB. Fortunately, I kept all email correspondence, call logs, and saved voicemails to verify. This is not the kind of treatment a person should expect from any business....let alone a Medical Provider. BEWARE‼ read more
