Despite making an online appointment and completing all of the pre-visit documentation, as well receiving numerous texts and emails from Vision Works afterwards to verify it, when I got to the facility in Willow Grove, I discovered that I did not have an appointment at all. I showed the email I had received that morning confirming my visit to the person at the front desk only to be told I'd have to reschedule. First , you cant actually talk to anyone . Only automated voice machine to schedule anything . Then , doctor doesnt feel like working monday so the day i took off for eye exam is now canceled , and rest of the week is booked ??? And then i call back with no way to speak to the person who called ??? NEVER AGAIN , STAY AWAY . Some of us like to work and dont have mondays to reschedule cuz of a tummy ache . Overall, my visit was what I expected from a chain like this. My exam was short and to the point, but did what it had to do. The doctor was a very nice woman. However, the girl Brittany who did my prescreen made me so uncomfy LOL. I can't even describe it. Go and see for yourself. No hate to my girl B but it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of my visit. Also p sure she or someone else was smoking weed in the office. Got a decent whiff while in the waiting area. Lastly, the machines used for the pre screening are not wiped down between patients. The forehead and chin things. I was about to grab one of the alcohol pads and do it myself but I got scared. I just recently moved and didn't have time to visit my regular optometrist in Colorado so I decided to visit Visionworks to get an eye exam and possibly glasses. Now my overall experience, upon entering the place I was greeted and asked to take a seat. A few minutes later I was taken to the examine area only to find out some of their equipment was not working properly. The optometrist came in and did a quick manual exam with the equipment that did work. She spent maybe 10 minutes with me. Upon exiting the exam room I looked at frames which I immediately noticed was on the cheaper quality side of things. I am use to a little better quality and willing to pay a little more as well. After using my insurance, the price came out to being the sane priced I use to pay for better quality glasses. So all and all, my experience was not great and I've decided to go back to my original optometrist in Denver. read more

I have never been treated more kindly when purchasing a new pair of glasses. The staff has always been helpful and I am always l satisfied with the glasses I purchase. I was so disappointed with my experience. They call and tell you to come in at 8:45am for your 9am appointment, so I did, but they do not open the door until 9am so you will sit there and wait for 15 minutes. Then, on top of waiting those 15 minutes, the optometrist was 25 minutes late! So my 9am appt turned into 9:30am...AND THEN the optometrist did not do the contact exam for me because she forgot or there was a miscommunication, so I had to go back to get them fitted and you could sense the annoyance at me for that. Long story short, my 20 minute appointment was about an hour and the optometrist I saw was not very nice. The other staff seemed fine though. read more

Grateful for my experience at Visionworks Willow Grove today. My glasses broke and my regular Eye Doctor couldn't see me for two weeks. Visionworks fit me in the same day and did an eye exam and frame fitting in about an hour. They also found a frame that fit my old lenses from the broken glasses and only charged me $35. They took my Vision Plan (VSP) and had a much larger selection of frames as my regular doctor at about the same price. I have a new eye vision place now. Highly recommend! read more

I no longer have eye insurance so need my prescription. They refuse to email it to me and are making me go in to retrieve my prescription in the middle of a pandemic. The male I talked to there was a obviously a miserable dude who doesn't get laid enough and was extremely rude. They use the excuse that they can fax my prescription but don't have access to outside email. It's year 2020 they know no one has a fax machine and just want you to go pick up the prescription to get you into the store. Whenever I did actually buy glasses from them they would try to up-charge me into some more expensive type of glasses to where I'd pretty much have to fight them and tell them I don't need their suggestion. Christopher is a dick. (Sadly I believe he is the manager) My children and I returned for our fourth year in a row for our exams and glasses. Our insurance had not changed but their system only brought my plan up in their computer and while I located my insurance cards he did not even look up from the computer and even walked away as I was speaking to get a tablet. His replies were curt and he has ZERO IDEA what customer service is. Visionworks would benefit from getting rid of him and I would consider returning. Maybe if they would check insurance plans earlier than 4 hours prior to our 3 appointments made 6 weeks prior this could all have been prevented. I have worked in an optometrist office and other medical offices before and know what customer service truly is. I hope corporate sees this. Chris, you need a job where you don't have to interact with people. My experience at Visionworks Park Place was amazing!! I am from Clevelan, Ohio and needed to drive back home, but unfortunately my contact ripped. I called Visionworks Crittenden and was dismissed very rudely. When I arrived at Park Place Glory was very empathetic to my needs of having to get on the road for a 6 hour drive and was able to fit me in to see the doctor. Dr. Locascio was extremely nice and had a beautiful spirit!! I will always be thankful for them!! The whole experience was great. Dr Maryana was wonderful. She spent time making sure that I understood everything she was telling me and even explained why I should do a follow-up. She was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family. I was also helped by several other employees. Even though they were busy when I first got there they made sure I wasn't feeling neglected. Chris took some time helping me figure out my insurance and than made sure I understood what was covered and what wasn't. All together I was extremely pleased with this location. I have had bad experiences before when I was getting new glasses and it has made it something I dreaded. This location has definitely changed that! read more

Absolutely fantastic experience here! Could not be happier. I am terrified of eye appointments because I have a weird fear of anything touching my eyes, but I was overdue for one and needed some updated glasses. VisionWorks takes my insurance so I decided to give it a try. When I got there, I was the only customer. The front desk guy was friendly and timely. I waited in the waiting room for 5 minutes and had my pre-exam with another nice person and it wasn't scary and it was painless. Two minutes later I had my exam with Dr. Kravchenko. She's young, with awesome glasses and was very friendly and professional - again not scary at all. I was all ready to have my eyes dilated (although, of course I was scared lol), but the doctor said they don't do that for preggo ladies unless they have to as there's a chance for the chemical to reach the beb. Thank god, saved by the baby lol. Super quick exam. I then searched and searched for the perfect pair of glasses and finally settled on a pretty black and teal number. The same guy that helped me when I arrived, helped me checkout with my glasses. Again, super smooth process. A lot of my stuff was covered by insurance, so I only had to pay $150 and sprung for the protection plan which brought it to $170 - a real deal. They had a buy one, get one half off deal going and he told me that I could get sunglasses - and get this - you can get sunglasses lenses in ANY pair of frames. I had NO idea that that was a possibility. I wasn't currently interested, but probably will be in the future. To top it all off, they had the frames in stock and I got to pick up my glasses TWO DAYS LATER. Wow, wow, wow. So happy with my visit and I'm in love with my frames! Thanks, guys! read more

I had a wonderful experience which made up for ones I had in the past at other locations. I called and Cheryl helped me a lot and spent the time. She also helped while a walked around. Then Chris spent so much time and care. He spent the most amount of time helping me understand all my options. He is enough of a reason alone to come back. I really liked how he knew his products knowledge (the brands he sold, how they were constructed, and the fits). The Dr. Cadet was super attentive and through. I liked her a lot. Also, I got an lessons from Sunish who was incredible and she taught me how to use my contacts safely which really took time. I was a slow learner and she was patient. She will be a Dr. soon too and she will be great at it. As a team they provided me with everything I wanted. They were very clean, organized, attentive and informative. They all made this a wonderful experience. I felt it was important to say thank you to all of them by posting how wonderful they all were to me. I would recommend this location. Zero stars is more accurate. The staff members I spoke with on the phone were wonderful. The store itself has a horrible selection of frames so I searched elsewhere for higher quality. For this reason I got better frames from a different store. When I brought my frames in to purchase lenses for them, they asked me to sign a waiver that they weren't responsible for damage if they damaged the frames while adding the lens and said that every other store of this type would ask the same. No other similar business has ever asked this of me (in the past I have purchased designer frames and brought them to a third party for lenses). It was absolutely ridiculous and to me clearly demonstrated that the people they employ to work on glasses are sub par. WORST. STAY AWAY. I imagine their eye examines are equally sub par. read more

Chris is the general manager of the place and he was so sweet, helpful, and very informative of my options. I would definitely go back because of him. I was going to give this location 4/5 stars after my 1st visit last week but after tonight definitely not going to do that. I went to pick up my glasses around 6:00 pm and the girl who helped me did not have a name tag on, had a hard time finding my glasses and when she finally did she just handed them to me a said how do they feel, I told her the were loose and she told me that she couldn't tighten the frames for me. Handed me a paper asked if I could read it and wanted to send me on my way. But I told her that I need the nose pads to be fixed and she looked at me like I was bothering her with an attitude. She changed my nose pads then handed me my case and said have a nice night. I've never had anyone just send me out the door without properly fitting my glasses! Now I have a migraine cause the progressive lenses are not aligned with my eyes. So just know that when your spending your money they seem to nice but when you pick up your merchandise they just want you to get out! Really disappointed! read more

They were so extremely rude. I came in and didn't have my Rx, however I had recently visited the Vision Works in King of Prussia. Instead of calling them to fax the Rx they sat there and watched me do it. After that I got literally NO help in picking out a frame. I picked one out, sat down, and was told it would be $250. I expressly told them this was simply a "back-up" pair since I really need glasses for driving, not my primary pair, and I wanted to do it cheaply. I picked out the cheapest pair of frames and the best they could do was $250 after I told them my situation. I went directly to Lens Crafters, they were very nice, got me by back-up pair with correct lenses in an hour for $100. I will never ever come back here. read more

Went there approx 11 months ago and the eye doctor gave me a thorough examination and I had a hard time finding a frame in either titanium or stainless steel and the titanium frames I bought have not held up,1 pair is bent and cannot be fixed unless I buy another frame and the quality is poor and the frame's are thinner than I had wanted.The service otherwise is straightening out the frame's we're good but because of the poor quality and not wanting to replace the frame until the warranty runs out I will be going elsewhere for new glasses read more
