I came to LensCrafters in a desperate need to get immediate glasses because I had damage. Initially, everyone was funny and kind and I was introduced to an array of frames. I had called prior to me coming in to explain how serious my situation was and to make sure that they can make immediate glasses. As I was speaking to the representative's I made it really clear of the type of things that I like in the business that I'm in. I picked a very expensive frame, Expecting my glasses to look decent when I pick them up. Instead what I received was something that looked like it was from my childhood way back in the 70s before advanced technology existed. I was told by one representative that because of my prescription that's what happened and that if I wanted thinner lenses I would've had to wait because they were in stock. I was on And an emergency trip to Pennsylvania on my way to Maryland and only an hour or so and there was no way in the world I could drive with my prescription. I paid over $300 for some of the worst looking glasses I have ever seen in my life. I'm disgusted and I want a refund immediately and I'm going to be contacting them today. Just terrible smiled in my face to get a sale and stabbed me behind my back with glasses that make me look like a reject from the movie Nerds. read more

The staff is quite nice and friendly. Especially when they're lying right to your face. My glasses broke on a Thursday and I was told the new frames I wanted would be special order and it would take a couple days instead of a couple of hours. I still hadn't heard anything by the next Tuesday so I called them. They said the salesperson I spoke with was mistaken and it would still be over another week. Not being able to see well for a weekend is one thing but a couple weeks is a major pain. When I wanted to cancel the order and go somewhere else they made me drive back to the store with my credit card for the refund. Most likely it was just out of spite because I could hear the manager bad mouthing me in the background for calling back to cancel. Almost a week and I'm right back to where I started with broken glasses. Horrible experience! Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else!! read more

Absolutely terrible! I really tried with this company in particular this specific location. I arrived for my appointment 5 minutes early only to find out their doctor decided to take the day off. I had an issue with my insurance and the people at LensCrafters went the extra mile. Two different associates called the company to help me out and pushed on them to get the issue resolved. Erica was especially helpful. I have always liked LenCrafters because of their accessibility and their generosity in giving free adjustments. Horrible! Went to have my eyes examined for glasses and had nothing but problems. First off, they only had two assistants working and the place was filled with customers. So of course, when they went to adjust my glasses it was a rush job. They couldn't wait to get me out. I kept telling them I couldn't see correctly but they just wanted to move on to the next customer. When I received my glasses, had to go back because of eye strain from the prescription every other day for two weeks. Of course, they were not happy to see me and I was told, they couldn't keep adjusting the lenses for free! So I guess I was suppose to just wear them without fixing the problem. They made me feel like it was my fault. Went to another Ophthalmology Office and had NO PROBLEM with my vision! Was told I would get a full refund as long as it's in 30 days. We shall see. Will not go back to them again. read more

I got a cheap back-up pair of frames there and I got them done in an hour! A little annoying they first tried to talk me into expensive lenses by saying "well these plastic lenses can't be ready until tomorrow, you sure you don't want to upgrade?" Finally when I stuck to my guns they said they'd give me the glasses in an hour. So be aware that's their strategy. But if you stick to your guns, don't mind that for the $100 "essentials" pair have plastic lenses, and realize you have to use full frames for that type of lens, it's quick, cheap and easy and for a second pair it's great. Plus the staff is helpful, I like that it looks like there's a manager on-site overseeing everything (who was very nice) and you can even see in the lab--it just feels more open and honest. Is it the Applebees of eyeglasses? Honestly Vision Works I had a much worse experience even though it was much cheaper (they are the McDonalds of eyeglasses I guess). So I would put Lens Crafters as a tier up from Vision Works. But I don't know if I'd go so far as to get my eyes actually checked at either place, I go to an ophthalmologist for that. read more

Definitely not a place I would go if you want to be billed correctly. Staff on site and Doctor was very nice but was told my bill would be one amount and was then about 5x as much. Called and spoke with the manager on duty who assured me after about 3 phone calls that it was taken care of. Then about 4 weeks later received another bill for the same amount plus a late fee saying it could go as a collection account. Staff and Dr are a plus but I wouldn't recommend them as they can't seem to get their paperwork correct. I will not be returning. read more

Not that this review will change anything since the employees at this store don't seem to care about anything. I have purchased many pairs of glasses from this store over the past several years so I thought I would continue be a loyal Lens Crafters customer. However, I was in the store yesterday and the employees outnumbered me by at least 5 to 1. I was actually the only customer in the store at the time. I asked if I could schedule an appointment for an eye exam and one of the employees took me to the exam area but nobody was there. He then told me that I could make the appointment on line. My only assumption was that he either didnot not possess the intelligent to make the appointment himself or he was not paid enough to do that. I was looking at Versace, Prada, Armani and Michael Kors frames for at least 30 minutes. These frames run anywhere from $200 to over $300 each. My prescription (not that anyone asked) is for progressive bifocals. I do not have vision insurance (no one asked) and I also needed prescription sunglasses (no one asked). I probably would have spent easily over $1,200 on glasses that day if someone had had the motivation to help me but no one lifted a finger to assist me. Since none of the employees who are being paid to help me offered to actually earn their salary no and simply spend a few minutes of their precious time to assist me, I will spend my hard earned money and make my purchase elsewhere. read more

I'm not overly pleased with this store, but I go for the one-stop shopping convenience of having my eye exam at the attached optometrist's office. I bought my first pair of glasses there 5 years ago and recently purchased my second pair. This second round was far more painful than the first. I had an ill-experienced employee "fit" my finished glasses. Her lack of skills resulted in crooked, stretched frames that within a week of taking them home were falling off my face. Luckily, the store offers free adjustments so I returned and had the manager re-fit my glasses. His adjustments to the frames were much better. One thing I really dislike is that the glasses you purchase are the same pair you (and numerous other people) have handled and tried on. For the cost of their frames and lenses, I'd expect a brand new pair of frames that haven't been pulled off and on the faces of multiple shoppers. On the plus side, if you have AAA, you can get a 30% discount off most brands of frames. read more

before i went here i went to walmart's vision center in WG, the idiots could not even figure out if they took my insurance- i then went to lens crafters. the manager, a woman, i forget her name- was so knowledgeable and sweet- she knew right away about my insurance and quickly got me taken care of. i will be coming back and telling my friends, family etc, about this awesome place! thank you read more

48 hours later. . .my "glasses in about an hour" are in Warrington, not Willow Grove -- they'll be ready in about 72 -- hours that is!!!! What more can I say!?! read more
