Went in here today for an eye exam and to obtain a new set of glasses; it was a really good experience. I set up an appointment online for the eye exam and checked into the front desk. I then filled out a form indicating my medical history along with signed authorization. A staff member then had me look into 3 machines to check the health of my eyes. No longer do you have to get eye drops and experience blurred vision for hours. The new machine they use just requires you to look inside the eye opening and wait for a a green light to come on in order for it to take a detailed photo. I was then escorted to Angela, the doctor, who performed the reading exam and lens determination. She was very quick and friendly. I was told they store your eye examination records there for 5 years. The final step was to pick my frames and choose the options. In the next room, I was served by a couple of staff who were very helpful. I tried on a few pairs of glasses, with the staff suggesting a couple of different styles. Most frames ranged in cost from $200 to $250. I eventually went with some nice spring-loaded RayBan's, with the extra options of progressives, non-glare, and transition lenses. They made the measurements of the glasses on my face and put the order into the system. They are due to come in within two weeks. Apparently they are made at a central factory and then shipped to the store. An email will be sent to me when they arrive. Such a simple and smooth process!

Typically I go to LensCrafters, but this ended up being the better choice given vision insurance. Passed by and dropped off my prescription for glasses. Figured it was time to change them as I hadn't in a couple of years. Walked around the entire store and was impressed by how busy it was. It took awhile for someone to help me, but when they finally did, I was the apple of their eye. I received exemplary service. Took about an hour or two, but I finally found a pair I could live with. Truth is I hate wearing glasses, but they're a necessary evil. Anyway, placed the order and was told they'd be ready in 7-10 business days. I think it wasn't even 5 business days when I got the text that my glasses were ready for pick up. Went in, picked up my glasses, and that was that. Happy with my purchase. Now I won't have to worry about this again until next year, haha, and if I'm really fortunate for another couple of years.

I have been going to this Visionworks in Hialeah (except for two times) to get glasses ever since I first had to use them back in the 8th grade. I always come back here because I always find the perfect blend of great service and good selection of glasses. It's easy to get an appointment for your eye exam, and you never have to wait long to see the doctor. You will get in at your appointment time. The salespeople are nice, I have known the salesperson who sold me my newest pair of glasses for as long as I have been coming here. Great place, if you need a new pair of glasses.

The staff at LasikPlus changed all of that. The entire staff was great from start to finish. Heather Mott was great and answered all of my questions during my initial consultation and after, she also did a great job of following up with me, even 4 months after my first visit. Denia Zolaica was amazing and was able to "talk me off the ledge" the day of my surgery last Thursday. As I mentioned before, 47 years is a long time to wear glasses/contacts and I could not fathom the idea of doing without them and almost walked out of the office the day of my surgery. The staff realized my anxiety and did their best to calm my nerves, and Denia in particular was amazing. She brought me in to her office and did an amazing job of explaining the procedure in detail and helping me deal with my anxiety (the 2 Valiums that she prescribed me did not hurt either). Finally, Dr. Karp has a way of making a patient feel welcome and exudes the utmost confidence in the service (a medical miracle in my opinion) that he provides. Since day one, Dr. Karp assured me that I was a great candidate and that all would go well, and the result far exceeded my expectations. The procedure itself is miraculous, the hardest part for me was the anticipation in the waiting room. Each eye takes about 30 seconds and after my first eye was done, I could already see clearly. Since then, with each passing day, my eyes feel better and better and today the staff confirmed that my vision is now 20/15. Like I said, a medical miracle for someone that has not known life without glasses for nearly 50 years. I still wear readers to see things up close but that is due to my age, distance-wise everything is now in HD for me. Do yourself a favor, do the Lasik, you will not regret it! The staff at LasikPlus will be with you every step of the way and I am sure you will walk out of there kicking yourself for not having done Lasik sooner, I sure did!

Here's part of an email that I had wrote to the district manager about this place and my…read moreexperience: Dear Ms. Sanchez, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your LensCrafters location yesterday, January 2, 2025. This was my first visit to this store, and unfortunately, it will also be my last due to the unacceptable and disrespectful treatment I received from an employee named Carlos. On December 10, 2024, I visited the store for an eye exam and placed an order for a year's supply of contact lenses. The younger employee who assisted me was professional and kind, which I greatly appreciated. I opted to have my contacts shipped to my home, as I had always done with my previous provider, America's Best. While I found it odd that I didn't receive a tracking number, I trusted the process and assumed everything was in order. However, by January 2, I still hadn't received my contacts. Concerned, I went to the store to inquire about my order. Initially, a lady began assisting me, but then Carlos stepped in to check the transaction. From the start, his tone and demeanor were unnecessarily hostile. He claimed that the contacts had already been delivered via UPS, but I explained that I had not received anything. Carlos then stated that he would email UPS to confirm delivery and suggested that if it had been delivered, he would need to contact the district manager to see if a replacement could be sent, though he doubted it because "UPS already said it was delivered." I asked why I should have to pay for something I didn't receive, and his tone became even more aggressive. His attitude was so unpleasant that I had to stop him and ask why he was speaking to me in such a disrespectful manner. The exchange was embarrassing, especially in front of other customers. It was completely unnecessary and made me feel humiliated. Hoping to cool off, I walked away to browse potential eyeglass frames. When I sat down to wait, Carlos looked at me and, in a rude tone, asked, "Are you waiting for me?" I replied yes, and he responded with even more attitude, saying that he needed to wait for a response from UPS and that it would take a long time. At this point, I decided to leave because I would not tolerate such hostility over a simple issue. A couple of hours later, I received a call from Carlos informing me that UPS had not delivered the package because no one was available to sign for it. (This made sense, as I never received any notification, knock, or package in my mailbox.) He said he would set the order for in-store pickup to avoid further issues, which I was planning to request anyway. I thanked him and simply said, "Okay." He responded with a dismissive "Mhm" and abruptly hung up the phone. This entire ordeal was the most disrespectful experience I've ever encountered. Carlos's behavior was unprofessional, aggressive, and completely unacceptable. It left me feeling unwelcome and frustrated, and I have no desire to return to this store.

This is my first time coming here today! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Alexis. I did…read morenot have an appointment and figure that I was going to be there awhile. I probably waited about 10 minutes, fill out a form and I was seen by the Optometrist. The dr probably took about 15 to 20 minutes to check my eyes. Afterwards, Mariel help me selected a few glasses. I honestly appreciated her honesty and all help with selecting my glasses. I personally recommend this place.
