Well... Expecting a lot more. Had a prescription from my health care provider. On phone told to just stop by. Arrived at opening time. One optician working. She had two patients to check in for appointments with ophthalmologist. They were her priority. Understand There were difficulties with for diagnostic equipment up and running. Again understanding. After twenty minutes of wandering around looking at frames and optician on her phone apparently trying to fix the the problem. She comes to the front showroom to accept her Starbucks delivery. No acknowledge of me. Time for me to go. Returned days later again with prescription in hand. First optician was there. New one. She understand my need for specific needs of frames. She left me with a selection. Trying frames on without any guidance. Made a decision. By that time another optician who did the measurements and finalized my order. Went to pick up my new glasses. The opticians were sitting there when I walked in. Just handed my glasses in the case. (Since first and second visits I had surgery and arm in a sling) Had to ask for the glasses to be opened. Tried them on. Wanted something to read. Only thing close was a business card. Asked for a reading card. "Oh here you go ". Glasses are perfect and value was good for VSP insurance. Casey, Jade, and Myisha were all so nice and professional! The doctor listened to my concerns and helped me understand my vision a little better. Honestly a good doctor for your eyes is so important- glasses or contacts are worn everyday! Lots of little things didn't work around the shop; the blood pressure machine didn't work, the DR had to reset the lenses machine, and when checking out the machine also had to be re done as well. Nothing big here. Alex said my name wrong to the VSP lady but I am glad he called them to get my insurance straightened out. And I know he was trying to help but he gave us the wrong prescription paper- I was accidentally viewing someone else's prescription! If I didn't point it out to Myisha, maybe we would have ordered the wrong script? Glad we caught it though. I am coming in next week to pick up my contacts and order more- I plan on updating my review again after picking up the new contacts :) read more

Unfortunately there is no staff assistance in finding glasses. Instead just a "pick what you like" on your own while they sit at the desk. Like buying a suit for first time. Need expert guidance on trends, fit, style, material, comfort, etc. went elsewhere. Got help. Bought glasses. Took 20 min of attention that didn't get at visionworks. read more

We've been here 2 years now, love this place. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The Dr genuinely wants to help people and went above and beyond to even send a message to my wife's neuro-ophthalmologist with some findings just to make sure he was aware and it was nothing serious. What an awesome experience! From the moment I walked in the door, KC was friendly and welcoming and I was greeted with a smile along with a can do attitude. The initial screening was easy and accurate. Once I was in with the doctor, Dr. Hemachandra, I felt relaxed and well taken care of. The exam was thorough and done with a smile. When I went back out to select my new frames, KC continued to shine. I was very pleased with the results and because of my VSP coverage, my out of pocket was next to nothing! I came to this location because of the wonderful reviews. I've been seeing the same provider in Folsom but wanted to try this out. The eye doctor who saw me was very thorough and kind. She took time in explaining her findings. To my surprise, I did not find the office staff very friendly. One staff sounded condescending when I was being screened, having to repeat instructions as if talking to a child. The over-all attitude was cold. The staff was mechanical except for the kind doctor. I will just stick to my regular eye provider. I don't usually write negative reviews but hopefully, staff will be more aware of their demeanor. read more

Be prepared for the Money grab. The doctor that I saw was very nice and very thorough. She actually was very kind and very thorough with a gentle explanation of the services and tests. The front desk staff is awful. They attempted to force a retinal scan on me in the form of a soft armed, we're going to do the retinal scan. NO mention of the extra cost when getting me to agree to it. Extra cost wasn't covered until I asked and then was told it is $39. I politely declined the test and that's when things went sideways. The girl at the front with the long dark nails and tattoos on her hands said that if I refused the scan that the doctor could insist on dilating my eyes during the exam. I simply said that I would not consent to it as I was going back to work. She got totally annoyed with me, and explained that I would have to pay the fee anyway if the doctor chose to do it. Total hard sell. I didn't realize we are living in an environment where free will and choice don't matter. Apparently she's not accustomed to customers saying no. Then of course there are all the things that they suggest like glare protection, upgraded transition and lenses, blue light, polarization yadda yadda yadda. If you are on a fixed budget, I would not recommend going here unless you plan to pay extra outside of what your insurance covers. The upsell is ridiculous, and it's not just small amounts, it's hundreds! They are contracted with VSP and this is supposed to be a premier location. I should have done the exam and taken my prescription to Costco. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Went to the dr and found out I reached the age where I need glasses‍. Took my rx here and KC was wearing super fun/cute glasses and I asked where she got them. Of course she got them here! I had high expectations based on the reviews but unfortunately this business does not keep its promises. Staff is very nice and helpful but the company does not meet commitments. Didn't meet its promised delivery date and have not been given any indication of when my glasses might be ready. Dr. Hemachandra and KC have an excellent bedside manner and, of course, all the latest and greatest equipment. Wait until you try the red/green lens; it was so much fun. Next are the sales staff. You're cheating yourself if you don't ask Jade or Michelle to help pick that perfect pair of eyewear. These ladies know exactly how to find the right style for your face. I would be remiss in not mentioning these ladies' fun-natured disposition in finding that perfect pair too. Who knew picking out glasses could be so entertaining?
