Very clean, quick and professional. The eye doctor is super sweet and makes the appointment very comfortable. Great selection of glasses. The only thing I didn't like was all the upselling. I was under the impression my insurance was paying for pretty much everything and I still came out of pocket like $600 after all the upselling. Other than that the staff is all extra friendly and very helpful! read more

I really appreciate my optometrist in Placerville but the cost of his frames and lens are more than I can afford. I took my prescription here and they were able to provide frames and lens at a very reasonable cost. I received my class for everyday use last friday and the progressions are amazing as well as the fit of the lens for me. The technicians are very nice and they do a great job offering you several options. You do need to call for when your orders are avaiable because they do ship your frames out to get the new lenses fitted. The selection is very good and what I really appreciate is that they are willing to take the time to answer any questions that you may have concerning your order. I will return here again. read more

Target Optical - Optometrists Near Me - El Dorado Hills, California

I recently came to this Target location for new glasses. Great experience. Today I went back to pick up my glasses and had a question about my prescription. Dr Mayer stopped in the middle of her lunch to help me and took the time to answer all my questions. What great "service after the sale". I highly recommend this doctor, and staff. The highest compliment I can pay them is that I will return here for my next glasses and that I would not hesitate to refer friends and family here. This is the way you should feel when having someone handle your vision needs. Thank you! read more

No sure I know many folks who get up in the morning and say, "Oh, goodie... I get to order new glasses today!" That said, cannot recommend highly enough Target Optical in El Dorado Hills... Count some of the reasons: 1) Friendly, knowledgeable store manager - Christine, only one on duty... (Went on a Monday. No optometrist on Mondays. Already had Rx) 2) Huge selection of fairly priced frames... 3) Friendly, knowledgeable store manager... 4) Easily navigated our insurance to get best possible price... 5) Friendly, knowledgeable store manager... 6) New glasses ready for delivery a week ahead of quoted schedule... 7) Friendly, knowledgeable store manager 8) New glasses fit perfectly... Easy to wear... Rx works well... Did I say, "Friendly, knowledgeable store manager?" Been wearing glasses for more than seventy years... This has been one of the very best "new Rx and frames" experiences I've ever had... read more

Dr. Jenn is the best! I love her....She has diagnosed my RX better then my decade old Kaiser doc.

I had never gotten prescription sunglasses before and I decided it was time to take the plunge. I'd always gone to Independant optometrist offices in the past to get an exam and a prescription, but have always been disappointed with the glasses selection. I found out that Target Optical has a doctor on site to do exams which I never knew. Dr. Wu gave me an eye exam and gave me my prescription, and then Christine and Kathy helped me pick out some Ray Bans. They were both so friendly and helpful, and made sure I got the biggest discount from my insurance. Definitely recommend!! read more

One star..... lol why was I approached by Heather in the tech department who very loudly welcomed us to target and wondered what we were doing tonight in the store... lol I think she thought I was like 16 until I turned around and Asked what her name was and he hesitated and said "Heather"..... then I said no thank you.... Rule of thumb for you minimum wage employees, treat people with respect without them your uneducated self doesn't have a job. read more

Very funny, awesome, friendly staff. Definitely, made my day and recommend them. Dr. Mayer is very cool, down to earth doctor.

WOW!! All I can say is WOW!! I walked into EDH Target Optical after having a negative visit at a nearby unnamed franchise eyeglass store. I was immediately greeted by Christine and Jake and made to feel so comfortable and at ease. I've been wearing glasses my whole life and have a new prescription that includes bifocals! Christine was so thorough in explaining to me the transition process and the best ways to handle the adjustment to the progressive lenses. I've been very apprehensive about this new prescription and she put my fears at ease! Then she helped me in picking new frames both eyeglasses and sunglasses because I needed new prescription sunglasses as well. Her expertise in the frame department is phenomenal, I've never experienced such a great eyeglass buying experience and I've been wearing glasses for over 30 years. She was patient with me as I snapped a bunch of pictures to go home and show friends and family. I came back for a second visit to finalize my decision and again Christine guided me through the process. This time Cisco was working as well as Christine and he was so friendly and helpful with valuable input regarding the finalized frame selections as well as explaining the adjustment to the transition lenses. Then Cisco cleaned my existing glasses and tightened them up, when I walked out I felt like I actually had "new" glasses while I waited for my brand new glasses how cool is that?! Amazing customer service! I am planning on making the switch to the eye doctor there in store now that I had such an incredible experience buying glasses. read more

Brianna and her associate Christine were quick and efficient taking care of all the questions I had about the Oakley Glasses I was seeking out. They even made suggestions to me about some sweet Versace frames which I didnt even know Target carried. I was super stoked to find out that they had a new Eye Doctor starting at their store on Thursday May 3rd and that they took my insurance. The store is somewhat tucked back by the mens beard care where the ladies got me to come on in to check out their shades... Pop on in and check em out you wont be disappointed! read more

I have optical insurance and opticians through my employer, but I prefer using Target optical, mainly due to their wonderful customer service. Christine is very knowledgeable and friendly, and I can't say enough about Dr. Mayer! We thought my son's contact lens was stuck in his eye, and Dr. Mayer came in on her day off to examine him. She went above, and beyond her call of duty, truly, a gifted doctor! Thank you to everyone! read more

I asked a simple question and the the guy so extremely rude inconsiderate and racist. I am going to call corporate and deal with this. This was unacceptable treatment and I have his personal info and I will be coming after this company read more

I made an appointment and gave all my information, including insurance. Then, I showed up for the appointment and had to give all my information again on a form. 30 minutes after my appointment time, I was finally seen. Upon choosing frames, I was asked all my information again, and then once more when I paid my insurance deductible. I waited three weeks and went to see if they were available. They were... they got my phone number wrong and left a message at the wrong number. I tried the glasses on and let the cashier know I couldn't see well out of them. She told me to just take them and go drive around. I have an old pair from before LASIK that I can see better out of. They're just ugly because they're from Basic Military Training. Guess I'll be wearing those until I can go some else for another eye exam next year. I have no interest in going back here and wasting my time again. Also, when I paid, they offered me the extra protection and said they were going to add it on at no cost. I said it wasn't necessary, but thanked them. They did it anyway, which I was grateful for BUT they charged me $35, which I didn't notice until I picked up my glasses and got home and reviews the receipt. I would have declined. read more

This is a great place to find stylish, reasonably priced frames. The staff are very friendly and professional - they know and do their jobs well. Probably due to COVID19, there was a little glitch with delivery of the frames but Christine sorted it out right away and I couldn't be happier. I'll definitely be going back!! read more

I love this place! The Dr. is super friendly and patient when it comes to getting your prescription just right! The office staff is amazing and funny! I will always use this place read more

I've worn glasses as long as I can remember and have a very strong Rx. Dr Moos and her staff were nothing short of excellent and were easily the best vision care experience I have ever had. Despite my strong Rx I decided to take a chance and go with some fashion-forward RayBan frames. Dr Moos and her staff were candid and realistic with my expectations. However, with their help I selected a very special lens that masks my strong Rx and they came out looking excellent. I am not going anywhere else ever again. read more

Dr Moos is an awesome eye doctor! I have been going to the eye doctor since I was six years old and I have met a lot of eye doctors and optical staff. First, this optical department stands out because of their staff and their selection of Ray Bans for me. Second, Dr Moos is a very nice lady and makes the eye exam quick and easy for her patients. I highly recommend to my family and friends. read more

Extremely expensive eyewear. Went back to good old Costco. That being said, I received an excellent exam by the optometrist.

I have been a glasses wearer for 20 years and today I had my first exam/glasses purchase at target optical. The doctor was SO attentive and knowledgeable and friendly and the exam was EASY and efficient as can be. Then I went onto the glasses floor to pick my new frames and I cannot say enough about the care, consideration, friendliness, promptness, and intelligence possessed by Christine. She was not in any way sales-y or over involved but she was present, kind, honest, and all around a wonderful person who clearly loves her work and cares deeply for her customers' needs, budget, and opinion. Christine thank you so much for helping me pick my two favorite pairs of glasses I've had yet, for helping me take advantage of current sales and discounts, and for making my experience easy and fun and informative. I will be referring many friends and family to this Target optical. Thank you thank you thank you read more

It's been a great number of years since I purchased my last pair of eye glasses, so my expectations about buying glasses at Target, were somewhat jaded. I met with Christine at Target Optical in ElDorado Hills, and all that fear of being "up sold" into more expensive frames was tossed out the window! Christine's product knowledge, and excellent customer service were second to none. I was fortunate at the time of my visit to have her 100% attention as I was the only customer in the shop at the time, however, she fielded several phone calls and was equally as pleasant and knowledgeable on the phone with them. I highly recommend Christine for your prescription eye glass and sunglass needs. She's a real asset to Target! read more
