Update 5/8/2023 Target optical reached out to me and offered a voucher to get a replacement pair of glasses. The first order they got completely wrong with the prescription. The second order, the prescription was right, but the color options were wrong. They also included the original sunglass lenses in the packaging without protection, so they got scratched. Well, I appreciate them making it right and doing the honorable thing, I will never be shopping at Target again. They are just too careless and unprofessional. Update 3/2/2023 Very unprofessional and I am still waiting on a resolution to this problem. They have lost customers for life. 2/20/2023 Update: the response below from Target was a fake "we care about your concerns" response. They still have not got back with me. Original review I bought a pair glasses from the Folsom store, and at the time of purchase, they informed me that I had a warranty for free replacements. Sometime later my glasses, we're scratched, and I inquired in regards to the warranty and what I should do. The lady said there was no warranty and there's no free replacements. I informed her this is not what I was told. She said there's nothing that she could do. So I went onto the Target website to fill out a store experience form on a link. I then later received an email with a link to file a claim. I use the link and was sent an email by LensCrafters. They said that they have nothing to do with target optical and they would try to reach out to the store manager to help. Today I received an email from LensCrafters with the following statement from the regional manager of Target, Danielle. "Hi, Please close the loop with this guest. This is a guest that has a history with consistent issues (all notes in his file) and how he communicates with the team is hostile. He had two remakes due to him not understanding his rx. He did not redeem the WFPP previously. Appreciate it and thank you, Danielle" All the statements in this message were lies. I did not mistake my RX and did not have them remade. I had my lenses replaced under the warranty for free because they were scratched. The store manager wouldn't even speak to me because they said the optical dept was separate from Target. I am not a hostile person. I do not have a criminal record and I take great offense to this statement from Target's regional manager. read more

Took my teen to get an exam and fitted for contacts. The doctor was really patient with all of her questions, and very helpful with her struggles when she tried to put in contacts for the first time and take them out. It was a really good experience. I have been a long time customer. Every time I have been here whether over the phone or in person. I have been more than satisfied with their service. The entire team from the optometrist Dr Baldwin to the awesome kind staff in the front have really been so helpful and personable which is why I will return for all of my eye care needs. Dr Baldwin is so knowledgeable and so kind! I am type 1 diabetic so my vision is very important because it changes often, my eye exams with Dr Baldwin have always been such a great experience and veryy informative. In addition the entire team has been amazing they are so helpful when recommending glasses frames and more recently contacts, Behrouz has been incredible helpful in finding me glasses frames in the past that match what I'm looking for (bigger frames for my big head). I also have been given so many fair prices via any promotions and they have been very accommodating in finding the right lenses for contacts. I am overall end extremely happy and satisfied with my care here. I would highly recommend all my friends, family, and anyone with eye care needs to come to Folsom target optical for their eye care. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The staff are so nice, friendly and helpful. Very professional and patient. Always willing to help. The optometrist is very good too. I bought the insurance policy and I was so glad I did. I threw my glasses on the bed when I was putting on a shirt, then sat down to put on socks and "crunch" ---yep, broke my frame. Using the warranty was a piece of cake and no hassle. $25 and I was back in new frame. This will be my go to place, they have a decent selection and the service is above and beyond. read more

The Target Optical store at Blue Ravine Road in Folsom is one of the best places to shop for prescription eyewear. All the staff who work there have been helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and overall fantastic. My wife and I made prescription glasses and sunglasses, and we are very fastidious with our adjustments. In my case, owing to my high power, I was finding it nearly impossible to get Ray-Ban to make prescription sunglasses for me. Elizabeth and Carissa are wonderful people who went above and beyond their responsibilities to work with us and Ray-Ban to make the near-impossible happen. As our power requirements are quite challenging, they have been so helpful during the whole cycle of selection, fitting, post-purchase adjustments, return, and replacement (my Ray-Bans had some problem at the first go). They made us feel welcome and actively participated in the selection process, giving us valuable and up-front honest tips about various frames and brands. Hands down the best optical shopping experience I've had in the US, all thanks to Carissa and Elizabeth. Im a type one diabetic and my vision can alter depending on my sugars and lately my vision has been uncomfortably blurry especially when driving. My Dr. recommended I get my eyes checked, so I got an eye exam. My first exam was March 13th at 9:30 am, picked out my glasses and was told they can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. Okay no problem. March 31st I was in target shopping and decided to pop in to ask if they had any update (18 days after ordering them) and Liz told me she couldn't give me any information about them just that they are not at the store.. I asked if she knew when they were shipped from the lab and she told me "I can't tell you that" ..okay...The next day i get a text that my order is ready to be picked up.. alright cool I show up picked them up got them adjusted and took them home. My main issue was I never asked for reading glasses and thats what I got? I tried them out but they didn't even work for reading all 3 of my computer screens just the one in the middle so there was no use in them. I called and let them know this wasnt what I wanted the glasses for, as I can't read street signs when driving so that was my main reason for getting the glasses. They said no problem rescheduled an eye exam for April 10th 9:30 am and changed my prescription. Tiffany re-ordered my lenses and told me they'd call when my glasses were in. 10 days later April 20th, I received a call from Liz letting me know the glasses are in and their store hours have changed to close at 6pm a few nights a week, just incase I was unaware. Cool! They arrived quicker than the first time. I went in tried them on they were the SAME prescription as before. They sent in my glasses to the lab and reordered the same exact reading prescription I did not want.. Liz apologized let me keep the lenses "we're just going to through them away anyway" and sent my frames in with the RIGHT prescription (I hope). Honestly, I threw the other lenses out, they weren't what I wanted and I had no use for them as I wasnt needing computer glasses and they didn't help at all. I called on May 1st just for an update and was told they're on their way to the store from the lab. It is now May 6th, 16 days after I reordered..for the 3rd time. 8 weeks later and I still haven't received my glasses. And all I was offered were the no good lenses that I didn't want, that didn't help, that were going to be thrown away anyway. Not the best experience. /: read more
