I was educated about every step of my exam and even got to see images of my retina! I didn't feel rushed at all and he really took the time to explain his findings and to answer all my questions. Kimberly helped me pick out my frames and suggested enhancements to prevent breakage (which is a necessity with a 9 month old!). The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I feel confident I'm getting the best care for my eyes! I see Dr. VanMeter for my regular eye exams. She takes the time to listen to me and makes sure I'm happy with my prescription. She always manages to dig up some samples for me, despite my not-too-common prescription. The exam rooms are spotless. It's a nice, quiet setting that's perfect for folks who experience appointment anxiety. This past year was my first time ordering glasses from the store, and I'd definitely order again. The staff were extremely helpful with my indecisiveness about the frames. They had great suggestions, and I ended up with a pair I love. I initially had some issues with the fit, and they encouraged me to return as many times as necessary to ensure I was comfortable with them. Their selection of frames are on the expensive side, but they seem to be worth the price. Things to note: There's a parking garage in the same building. You can access it through the alley to the left of the clinic. They have convenient online scheduling. They also offer an online contact ordering system, but it's a little confusing to use. Thanks to the trusty Yelp! app,  I found a new shop a quick skyway walk from my office. I came into Metro Optics with a new prescription from my doctor. I was told that they have a doctor on-site (ow! bad pun!) but I didn't need this at that time. Jerome and Crystal immediately accepted the challenge and - honestly! - it took no time to find six different frames that I really liked. They each helped me to narrow and prioritize my choices, leaving me feeling very excited for a new pair of glasses. I'm so tired of the old nerd look (yeah, I'm not terribly creative) and I loved that there were so many choices available. I've since picked up my frames and had them adjusted a bit further. Every time I come in both Crystal and Jeremy are friendly, professional and fun to chat with. I feel really good about the selection I made for both the shop and my glasses. I decided to get contacts and have to say I was very nervous about touching anything to my eyeball. (Yes I know you've heard this story before) No worries my friends because KiKi will take care of you. We spent a half our together getting the lay of the eyeball and all the contact techniques. KiKi was also the one who yes/no'd every pair of glasses I tried; "too big for your face, to wide, to small..." She practically runs that place. I also really like the Dr. I saw this time and will continue to request him every visit. (I think they rotate 3) And of course I can't think of his name! I'll get back to you. He really gave me the best info I've ever received about which contacts/glasses are best for me. So you SEE? It's a nice play to take your eyes.

The parking lot is small, with six spots shared between the street-facing optometry office and an interactive media studio behind it. I was greeted by both Bailey and the sunny Teri upon walking in. Soon as I was done with the paperwork, Bailey had a machine quickly measure my eyes for basic numbers to hand off to the optometrist (no puff of air involved, in case that bothers anyone), and I was ushered to the office to meet Dr. Matthew Anderson. Matt is a rather quiet individual - going expect overt humor or any chit-chat. That said, he was professional and thorough, whether in checking my eyesight, fitting me for contact lenses, or rechecking the fitting after I'd put on a trial pair. Eyes All Over typically gives over a week's worth of daily contact lenses for a trial run, and Matthew makes a point of guiding clients towards economical lens choices that offer enough support for their eyes without wallet overkill. Optometrists often have a refitting policy in event a prescription doesn't feel quite right, and Matthew's refitting policy extends 60 days from the examination. Overall, a good experience. I'll be back in a week to pick up the trial contact lens sets on order for me. Meanwhile, I have the remaining pairs the office had on hand to try out.

She talked me into getting a Verilux Progressive lens, having told me beforehand that if I did not like them and they didn't work out for me that she would replace them for the single vision lens for both my reading and distance lens for no extra charge. She however reneged on this offer/statement when I came back with the progressive lens because they did not live up to the hype they tried to convince me of. There was to much distortion on the overall lens, the distance portion was not sharp and clear and had a shorter range, and I had to move my head all over to just find the clarity for the area of distance I was trying to see from whether it was distance, intermediate. or reading level. She was only willing to make one pair of lenses which meant I had to choose either distance or reading. The cost of the one pair of Varilux progressive lenses was 3 times the price of what 2 single vision lenses would be so she made money and I feel like I got ripped off. I would not recommend Scenic Eye Care because you can't trust their word, their inventory for frames are very limited and they need more staffing.

They couldn't credit my credit card because they received a new card reader that would not credit accounts from the old system. They sent the first check to a wrong address. They make it out that it's my fault and I should go to the post office and straighten it out. Fridley is the one that wrote it wrong. They said they corrected it, but the second check went to the same wrong address, I was lucky enough the postman figured it out and I got it. I'm still waiting for a check from October and the act like they do t know how to take care of the problem. Today the business did not open!!! I think a professional business would put a message on the phone.

Brad, who was one of the kindest people ever, was gone due to personal reasons, but aside from his absence, the atmosphere was unprofessional and kind if Walmart-y. Frames and lenses are overpriced, warranty is a joke, and it's a disorganized zoo where no one is available to help you. Try to ask valid questions and the staff shuts you down. Don't count on anyone calling you when your glasses are ready to be picked up. You pretty much need to just stop in to ask someone since no one answers the phone when you call. I hope Dr. Petronak leaves before this place ruins his great reputation. Brad, everyone misses you and we hope you're doing okay.

Dr. Carly Szafranski was great! She explained everything she was doing and educated me along the way! Had some long lasting dilation issues in my left eye 24hours after my appointment so I called them. Customer service was great and they contacted Dr. Carly directly and she called me with 10 minutes if the original call. She let me know it was normal and made a note in my chart to prevent it from happening again. Very impressed. Will be back.
