Called to see if my insurance was accepted, which it was - was quoted it would be $30 all in for contacts and glasses prescription. Wound up paying well over $200 because the contacts supposedly wasn't covered and they had a required $180 fitting fee.... They didn't have the right contact lens for a trial pair either and just gave me something different. I picked up the correct lenses I purchased a few days later and now I've had my contact in now for over a week and they do not feel great. I've had zero follow up since my exam either, which normally in the past I've had check in calls or follow up appts to check fit. I really wouldn't recommend going here just based on cost and overall experience. I'll probably have to go find an America's Best to re do my whole eye exam and find better fit contacts. read more

My first visit was welcoming, and I felt comfortable being it was my first time having to deal with vision issues. Had my eyes checked, picked out my frames and everything was good to go, paid what I paid and was told I would receive my glasses in about a week and a half, cool. I picked up my new glasses and when I went to wear them at work for the first day everything was blurry, I immediately called Visionary and let them know of the problem and was told it can take a couple of days to get used to, I gave it a week and still a no go. I called Visionary back to let them know nothing has changed and everything was still blurry, and we scheduled an appointment after the holidays to see what the issue was. Well, appointment day has arrived I see the Doc and she looks at my eyes has me look at letters and ask me about Diabetes which I don't have but this is where you have to be careful... I said I had bloodwork done and everything came back good but was sent on a more in depth one to check for pre-diabetes which never came up on the first test just to make sure and that changed everything. Be careful what you say, it's a doorway for you to come out of pocket. The Doc now wants to wait till I get my results and wants to reschedule the appointment, But why? And when scheduling the next appointment, they charge me $60 and did absolutely nothing. Saying it was a medical charge and it's not covered, medical charge for what exactly? Still nothing is done with the problem that I can't see well with my glasses and guess what? I can bet the next time I'm there, there will be another charge, right? I would not go to this facility. Needed a signature for a license renewal. Since I had a previous exam with Dr Jacqueline westcott I thought she would sign the form for me. They wanted to charge me 25.00 plus 3% to out in credit card. What gauging I went to this office in July 2022 and had an exam and new lenses. My vision was not clear after having the new glasses I called and was told I would have to pay for an additional visit if they couldn't find anything wrong on their part. I received an eye exam and purchased glasses on Aug. 17. I checked in on Aug. 31 as I was told the glasses would take 7-10 business days to arrive. The glasses arrived on Sept. 19 but they were blurry and the team wanted to rework them. I followed up on Oct. 9 and went to the office on Oct. 10, but the glasses still did not work. I asked for a refund but was rebuffed. I was told to take the glasses home and try them the next day. I am still following up to try and receive at least some money back and return the glasses that I can't use. This is the first online review I've written for any company. I went to the office on military Trail, and found the eye doctor kind and informative. First that reason I left a two star. My problem started after the fact. I had a $250 debit card from my insurance to pay in addition to what the insurance paid. For this reason, I got a second pair of glasses and was paying the difference Unfortunately, the credit card machine was glitching when they tried processing it and I was told to go ahead and pay it and I would be reimbursed. This was December 2022 and I am still fighting for my reimbursement. I contacted the insurance company multiple times and upon investigation they found that they actually paid Visionary for the initial pair of glasses and exam plus they claim they paid them my $250 for the second paragraph glasses all in 12/22, which I had already paid in full. I presented this document to the accounting department at Visionary, who is now claiming that they were entitled to the money because they supplied glasses, which again I had already paid for. At this point, I'm the only one out of money and if my insurance is correct Visionary has been paid twice for the $250 but refuses to refund it. I even asked them for a copy of my statement however he told me he would send it to my insurance company and no doubt they won't know what to do with it. he's refusing to send a a copy of MY ledger to me. I don't know why, except it might be proof that my claims are accurate. Like I said, I liked the eye doctor, but would not go back there if I can't trust them. Very frustrated and certainly have wasted way more than 250 owed trying to fight this claim. read more

Do NOT go to this eye business. My husband and I bought glasses from the Jupiter Farms location. Life time guarantee! The glasses fell apart (as did mine) and they will not honor their guarantee. They will now not even answer our calls. These glasses cost way more than we wanted to pay but we believed their 'sales pitch'. Bad mistake. We can't afford to replace these somewhere else, hence the decision to chose an expensive pair to ensure we were covered. Picked them for location and being in our insurance booklet. New to area so didn't do my proper due diligence I guess when using them. First warning when we had to wait 45 min. (we had made an appt) when going there) - doc spent a total of 2 1/2 min on one of us and 5 on the other. Mgr. said that they would put a rush on one of our glasses and that turnaround would be a mere few days. Never heard back and we called and went there time and time again. Nobody ever knew what was going on. Once they said - we have glasses, then "they are lost" and then "no rush was put on them - don't know what is going on". Attitude from staff is non-caring, no rush, no customer service and no professionalism. Do Not go to this store for appointments or prescriptions. The people who work at this location are disorganized and absent minded. I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses and informed them of the model number and physically selected the frame (which they brought behind the desk to write up the prescription) to ensure they had the appropriate style. I had to call and follow up to find out when they would be ready. When they were finally available, 2 weeks later, it was the WRONG pair of sunglasses. Even worse the Lady who works in the frame part of the store accused me of lying and challenged me and told me that I did not order the ones I know I selected. I visited this office in October of 2021 because I was suddenly having double vision. Dr examined and prescribed prisms for my glasses. The next day the vision corrected itself and I went back for a second exam. She insisted on still adding prisms to my prescription. A couple weeks later the glasses came and they were terrible. They were sent out again , came back again and still weren't right. I was not able to pick them up until January, when I finally just took them even though they still weren't perfect. I paid every copay at the time of visits. I ended up paying over $1000 for two pairs of glasses, neither of which was right. This is in addition to the excellent insurance I have. Now two years later, they have sent me a bill for over $200. Maybe they think I'll forget that I already paid for everything. I wasn't going to write a bad review for them but this was a little much. They may as well send it to collections now because they aren't getting another penny from me. I would never recommend them nor will I ever go back there. read more

I visited here last week for an annual exam, as I've been getting really bad headaches recently. The showroom was very clean and pretty with a TV playing movies and toys for the little ones. I saw Dr. Baker and she spent a good amount of time thoroughly examining me. While we still haven't determined the cause of the headaches, she was able to recommend me to a doctor and hopefully I'll get some results. Before I left I ended up getting some prescription sunglasses, the girls were very helpful in helping me pick the right ones and it only took a couple days for them to come in. So far I have been a happy and will continue to go here for my optical needs! read more

My husband and I just had the most horrific experience at Advanced Vision Care. The lady mentioned here is homophobic, rude and extremely unprofessional. We feel completely mortified and harassed by this experience. My husband who does not speak English well, as he is not from the states was trying to explain and understand something regarding our contact lens insurance when he had trouble understanding the receptionist and as they were discussing the issue, he was rudely interrupted by Sussie, the optometrist and sales women who was making faces and laughing at my partners discussion. When my partner explained to the receptionist that he did not feel comfortable being there anymore because Susie was laughing at him, Susie began to become aggressive and launched out of her seat ready to attack us. She threatened us while shouting and screaming in front of us. She threatened to call the police if we did no leave and was erratic in her actions. Making homophobic comments under her breath. My husband and I felt very uncomfortable while she erratically was screaming while the receptionist was trying to process our refund. This women is horrid and should not be working at this place. I was seen by Dr. Wescott at Advanced Vision Care for a full eye exam for glasses and contact lenses. Dr. Wescott was extremely thorough and her findings revealed an abnormal exam. Dr. Wescott referred me to a top opthamologist in the area for further evaluation, and he confirmed her findings. As soon as I could, I returned to Advanced Vision Care, had an additional exam, purchased glasses and contact lenses. I was very fortunate to have Dr. Wescott and will always return to AVC! AVC is the most thorough optometrist I've ever seen! They have an incredibly cool selection of eye ware for adults and children. Absolutely loved the staff who are always courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The entire staff was great with fitting and follow up.
