I came to Dr. Kelso after a misdiagnosis by another eye specialist. Dr. Kelso was kind enough to see me early in the morning without an appointment. She immediately identified the severity of my eye injury and prescribed the appropriate medication and approach for treatment. Lady in the eye glasses section didn't greet us until after we greeted her. When asked about taking VSP insurance, in the phone she said yes, in person she stated they only allow an $80 reimbursement. No smile, no kind of customer service at all. We left & went across the street to Chasewood Plaza where we found a great optical store .. they took VSP and we bought 2 pairs of glasses. read more

Once again Jupiter Eye Care and Michael came through when I was in a bind. The right arm of my eyeglasses broke and Michael said to come by to see what he could do. The office was very busy, but as always, Michael took the time to assist me and replaced the broken arm at no cost to me. I will be visiting again next week for my annual exam and new frame/lenses. DO NOT GO!!!!! Absolutely TERRIBLE! When I walked in, the receptionist was nice and easy to work with. That's the only good thing about my experience. I was told by the receptionist that because of my insurance, my visit would be $20. I was excited at that point, but what I was told wasn't true. When it was time to pay, I was told that I owed $90 and I let them know that was incorrect because I was told it would be $20. No one took responsibility for the miscommunication. Everyone blamed it on someone else. I was given a FREE trial pair of contacts to see if they would work in my daily life and not just reading the chart. The doctor told me that since I didn't want to pay $90, I had to give the FREE trial pair of contacts back to her. That's not even the bad part. I asked the eye doctor if she would check the pressure in my eyes. She said that she didn't need to because she already knew that it was 7. After begging her, she jumped up out of chair huffing and puffing and mumbling under her breath. She just about jammed the solution in my eyes because she had an attitude and couldn't believe that I would ask her to do something that took 2 seconds. Once she checked the pressure, she realized that it was 10. She said that doesn't matter, as long as it's close to what she ASSUMED it was. WHAT?!? After that, the rest of the time was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE and VERY UNPLEASANT. Everyone in there was rude to me from that point forward. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE, SERIOUSLY!!!!! read more

My daughter has worn glasses since she was 3 years old and now that she is 6 she wanted "big girl glasses." We walked in just to shop and was greeted by all smiling faces. Everyone was very sweet to my daughter and made her feel comfortable. Before you know it she was trying on glasses for all the staff and other patients. But after my experience at Pearle, I can honestly tell you that I will never go any where else. The staff was extremely welcoming to me, and the Optometrist was very professional and personable at the same time. The eye exam was extremely thorough, and also educational ( believe it or not! ) After the exam I got to see what my eyes look like from the inside! It was kind of weird and cool too! I asked her so many questions and she answered every one of them. She also informed me how to keep my eyes healthy and gave me a new brand of contacts to try for free!
