As a new resident to Jupiter I got a referral to go to Florida Vision Institute. I must say that I have had a problem for about the last 10 years with dry eyes. I was being treated but not improving. My dry eyes were affecting my daily life. I.e., reading, driving, etc. I made an appointment with Dr. Marc Brockman and after the first visit noticed a significant improvement! I couldn't believe I finally had some relief! He had me do a few simple daily procedures which led to my improvement. I highly recommend Dr. Marc Brockman for anyone needing an Optometrist. He is absolutely the best!! The staff was friendly and efficient. read more

Total disregard for the value of your time. My appointment was for 11am, it's currently 2 hours and 15 minutes and I still haven't seen the ophthalmologist. Any other business run like this would be closed! My time is just as valuable as theirs. read more

Over $700 for two peoples eye exams?!? No glasses or anything else. Extremely expensive for eye exams.

Over a decade being a quality patient and today we find out they no longer accept BCBS, a major insurance carrier. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor???? If you have an insurance we don't like, then good riddance!!!! Thank you very much!!!! read more

Had a 10:50 appointment. I waited an hour before they called me in not to see the doctor but a technician that measured my eye pressure. Told to sit and the doctor would see me soon. There were five people sitting next to t to me all waiting to see the same doctor. Their appointment times started at 10:35 which meant the appointments were booked 5 minutes apart. Rediculous. After consulting others and heeding their recommendations, I am experiencing first hand the gift of great vision through Dr. Allen's expertise. The genuine concern for great vision for their patients is Dr. Allen's and his assistant Charlotte's first concern. Charlotte's genuine care was that I would have great vision. Her concern was that I would have the very best care. The entire staff is about caring for people first. My wife hopes to benefit from Dr. Allen's skills this fall. I thought other reviewers were being dramatic when they said the receptionist was rude. They were not. I called today and asked for a consult for lasik laser eye surgery. The woman scoffed and asked "What laser?" Having no clue what she meant I just said, "I don't know what laser, what do you mean?" No joke, the receptionist literally LAUGHED. Like actually laughed at me. I couldn't believe this was a legit business. Then she started questioning me "Did you get a referral for cataract surgery and you're from a doctors office? That's how you got this number?" I said "No what do you mean? I found this number online and it says online you do lasik eye surgery." The woman continued to legitimately LAUGH at my answers like I was the stupidest person on earth. After several minutes of this she finally figured out what I wanted (despite it being incredibly simple!!) and transferred me. Then that person told me they only do consults on wednesdays and fridays which I couldn't do. I have never in my life been laughed at by an employee for asking such a simple question. Like, is this an actual business? Run by adults? or is this a middle school? I am by no means a "karen", but this left a terrible taste in my mouth, this receptionist scoffing and laughing at me like an immature child. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, weirdos. read more

I highly recommend Florida Vision Institute. I recently had cataract surgery and since my vision had worsened with age, I elected to include lasik surgery at the same time. There was an out of pocket expense but I feel my vision is well worth it. It's a game changer in your life. I can drive at night again with confidence. Dr. Allen and his staff were wonderful. After three tries to get my glasses correct, they are still sub-par. They are exceedingly uncomfortable, the adjustment to my eyes isn't correct, and they didn't use the lenses as requested. I went to this location because they required masks, that's the only positive I can say about them. $1,200 wasted. read more

My bad experience with this supposedly reputable company continues to ruin my credit and life. I had a stabbing pain in my left eye and saw a doctor at the Florida Vision Institute. The doctor i saw was stumped as to what the issue was. All he could tell me was that my cornea wasn't scratched. This was an insurance-covered exam, as FVI won't take you unless your insurance approves the visit first. A few months later I found out they were attempting to collect $170 through their in-house collections/billing dept., claiming the visit was retroactively now exempt from insurance coverage. The bottom line is their doctor did nothing to help my eye and they won't settle the account, or even take payments. This one negative remark on my otherwise perfect credit file has greatly effected my score... I can't even get approved for a simple credit card due to their nasty remark on my file. Thanks for messing up my credit Florida Vision Institute! Update: a few months later and two more failed attempts. I tried to reason with the person in charge, pleading my case as an out of work disabled person. They are like evil Nazis over there- the Tradition branch. read more

Wonderful staff, love Dr. Allen. Wanted to give you all 5 stars but I have had to wait for extensive periods (often more than 45 minutes, one time nearly 2 hours) to be seen so I can only give you 4 1/2 (but they don't have that choice so I had to settle on 4). Please try to work on the scheduling so precious time isn't wasted waiting to be seen. That being said, I always got all of my questions answered clearly and felt Dr. Allen and his team were on top of my case at all times. Changing doctors today, with relief. Too many unnecessary in my opinion unpleasant experiences at the Jupiter office of FL Vision Institute. I've been an eye patient with severe problems for most of my life, and this is the only office in 50 years where I've perceived the patient treatment is too shoddy to continue. Changing doctors is unpleasant, inconvenient, and troubling, but I'm sufficiently fed up to go elsewhere. read more

As a new patient I must say I am beyond satisfied with the service that I have received at Florida Vision Institute. Dr. Lima is an outstanding professional who took the time to explain to me in terms that I can understand. Dr. Lima is patient, caring, and knowledgeable!! I found them on google after reading their raving 5 Stars reviews. I get to talk to patients about their experience when I was there. But nothing is more convincing than my personal experience with a health professional who genuinely puts patients first instead of money!! I highly recommend Florida Vision Institute and Dr. Lima.! I even drive from Fort Lauderdale to see them in WPB, with Traffic, it is a minimum of 90 mins each way!! The trip is worth this drive as my vision is valuable!! read more

The doctors at the Florida Vision Institute saw me immediately when I developed acute glaucoma after a surgery with another doctor -- even though I was not a patient of their practice. They diagnosed the problem immediately and arranged treatment until I could get back to my own surgeon. The staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Brockman is highly knowledgeable, experienced and skilled. Our family satisfied with his care but we will not visit the Vision Institute again because assisting personnel is not providing safe and high quality patients care. Assistant Danny was trying to open my daughter's eye for exam without washing his hands and wearing gloves. I questioned his unsafe practice and he get irritated and stated that they always provide patients care without wearing gloves and washing hand. Sorry, it's not a norm of CDC and I will inform infection control about my experience in vision institute. read more

Dr Brockman has treated me in the past with kindness and respect. I am a Vet and had the option to receive treatment under Veterans Choice. Because of the incredibly poor handling by the vendor who was supposed to pay Florida Vision Institute, F.V.I. needed to drop Veterans Choice program. For that I am deeply saddened. If I were in the position to pay, my vision care would strictly be through Florida Vision Institute. Dr. Brockman is fantastic and it's most unfortunate that I can no longer be in his care. Not his fault, not my fault, it's the change of policy of the office. Very sad.... :-( read more

I have my yearly eye exam performed at Florida Vision Institute, along with addressing any other eye related issues. This practice is truly a pleasure all around. The experience is always good when coming here, from when you arrive at the front desk to the nurses seeing you to exam room. The doctors are true professionals and always make sure to go over what your tests showed in your last visit, so they can compare the findings with you current results. In addition to going over any plan of care in detail. All the staff show they care and seem to be truly concerned about their patients and that is something you do not see often. The doctors and staff are outstanding. Everyone is courteous, helpful and competent. Recently had cataracts removed from both eyes by Dr. Allen using the latest laser techniques; the operation[s] also restored my eyesight so I no longer need contacts - which I had been wearing since 1978. I came in the office for the first time today with an eye emergency and was taken care of immediately by their head nurse Nancy. She was so professional and caring and knew exactly what was wrong! She brought the doctor in and he confirmed her diagnosis and got me the prescription I needed right away! I'm already feeling better thanks to this great office! Highly recommended! read more
