Kim the nice lady that tried to take payment of $229.85 for glasses I attempted to purchase in full, my card only allowed $116.85, she ask me did I have another form of payment, I said no and she said well when you can make payment come back. Me assuming that the money she took would return after the weekend, nothing happened. I went back into eye associates that Monday were she then mentioned that it was a partial payment and I at that point I mentioned I am changing directions and getting smarter glasses, then Kim wanted me to sit down with sales rep again. I politely declined and trust was lost my way and no longer wanted to be tricked into anything else, I even mentioned to her that I had no idea that this was a partial payment. Kim moved right pass that and attempted to refund $106.85 they said $10 was copay which still confused me because I thought the payment was for glasses. Neither less accepted $106.85 refund. Tried multiple times to refund money, could not. Kim then left for about 10 minutes saying they could do a check, came back and told me they couldn't do that and to dispute with my bank. I just feel that they should break these payments down on a sheet and verbally ask if I wanted to do partial payment before I left out on the 31st. I'm in sales and felt like I was not top priority and that the information could have been explained 10 x better. Not a bad experience just one that will make me ask 800 questions if I ever decided to return.

The front desk staff provided a warm and welcoming greeting and made the check-in process smooth and efficient. The technicians were knowledgeable, professional, and guided me through each step while clearly answering all of my questions or any curiosities I may have had about the equipment. The eye doctor was thorough and attentive, throughout my entire exam (as well as answering any questions I may have had) and the optician was incredibly helpful in assisting me with selecting the perfect pair of glasses. Every team member demonstrated strong expertise in their role and made me feel genuinely welcomed throughout my visit. The entire staff was kind, professional, and personable, and the facility itself was very clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this eye center to anyone looking for exceptional care and service! P.S- Definitely everyone needs a pay raise for the experience they provide at this facility!

Dr. Bonnie Chen, absolutely not. I have been wearing glasses and seeing specialist since I was in elementary school, but she has been the worst eye doctor I've ever seen. I am very nearsighted, have a decent astigmatism, retinal issues, and family history of eye health issues that could lead to blindness. When I would address my concerns with her, she dismissed them. She would tell me it is average life stuff that I wasn't having issues with. My final straw was when I expressed to her that I was having more troubles with light sensitivity - mainly when driving, but also when I was outside in general - even with the use of sunglasses. She told me it wasn't possible for me to have this experience because I have brown eyes. She then went on to tell me that I just needed my prescription updated (hadn't changed much), make sure my windshield was clean (already clean), and continue wearing sunglasses (still doesn't help). I went to my pcp and got a referral to another eye doctor. I'm glad I did. My concerns were finally heard and addressed.

I shall not mention any names…read more The eye doctor I used to see in the area had the bedside manner of a bored sloth. The doctor at Huntersville Eye Care Center took a while to warm up, but once he did, he was very easy to talk to and he laughed genuinely and often. Friendly and knowledgeable guy with a calm demeanor. I'm always worried when the eye doctor takes that magnifying-glass-thingy and gets really close to your eye. This stems from an experience back in NY. That dude's mouth was WAY to close to mine. If I was Popeye, I woulda eaten me spinach. I was quite perturbed and borderline breaking point (takes a lot). He finally pulled away. With body language and tone of voice, I let him know I wasn't happy and wouldn't return. This eye doctor doesn't play those games. Very professional. The day after the eye tests (very thorough and no eye dilation but lots of lights), I woke up with vertigo. After brushing my teeth, I needed to use the wall for balance, then sat on the bed, then slid off the bed. The worst is at the gym. I hide it well (I think) because I don't want someone working there telling me I'm not in condition to work out. It will eventually pass. Had it for six months once already (gym included with no problems). I don't know if this is result of eye test or coincidence. I recommend this eye doctor. Everyone there is friendly and professional.

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. This has been the most disappointing experience…read moreI've had with an eye care provider, and I have been receiving routine eye care since adolescence. My primary concerns relate to communication and professionalism at the front desk, particularly involving the office manager at the Rocky River location. During a recent visit, I was given incorrect information regarding my insurance coverage for an eye exam. I was initially told that I would be responsible for a significant out-of-pocket cost, which understandably caused concern and led me to consider canceling or rescheduling my appointment. When I attempted to clarify this with the front desk, I encountered inconsistent explanations and was informed that I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee. This was especially frustrating given that the confusion stemmed from misinformation provided by staff. When discussing the matter with the office manager, I found her demeanor to be dismissive and unprofessional, which further added to the stress of the situation. Fortunately, after speaking with a member of the financial department, I was correctly informed that my exam would be fully covered by insurance. While I ultimately proceeded with the appointment, the experience leading up to it was unnecessarily stressful and could have been avoided with clear and accurate communication. Additionally, I observed what appeared to be staff discussing patients within earshot of others, which raised concerns about professionalism and patient privacy. I do want to acknowledge that several staff members were courteous and helpful. However, my interactions with the office manager significantly impacted my overall impression of this location. I hope leadership addresses these concerns to improve communication, professionalism, and the overall patient experience.
