Dr. Bonnie Chen, absolutely not. I have been wearing glasses and seeing specialist since I was in elementary school, but she has been the worst eye doctor I've ever seen. I am very nearsighted, have a decent astigmatism, retinal issues, and family history of eye health issues that could lead to blindness. When I would address my concerns with her, she dismissed them. She would tell me it is average life stuff that I wasn't having issues with. My final straw was when I expressed to her that I was having more troubles with light sensitivity - mainly when driving, but also when I was outside in general - even with the use of sunglasses. She told me it wasn't possible for me to have this experience because I have brown eyes. She then went on to tell me that I just needed my prescription updated (hadn't changed much), make sure my windshield was clean (already clean), and continue wearing sunglasses (still doesn't help). I went to my pcp and got a referral to another eye doctor. I'm glad I did. My concerns were finally heard and addressed.
