I ended up here because of a coupon I got. It was not honored, and I didn't appreciate that. However, the full eye exam was $109 + tax, complete with a commemorative picture of my eyeballs. Talk about creepy looking! The eye doctor explained everything thoroughly, and did a fine job of using layman's terms to ensure I understood the health of my eyes and my vision. They had a special on glasses, buy one pair of glasses and get the second pair for 50% off . The glasses insurance was explained to me, but I was not asked if I wanted it. It was just added. It turns out I decided I wanted it after all, but I was a bit surprised at its inclusion when I got to the counter. Every person within this establishment was so professional, patient and friendly. They really try to create customer loyalty and give you every reason to come back. And it's working. I will be back next year :-) read more

First exam with Meta did not produce correct prescription. She claimed my prescription changed in the two weeks between. Had the same exact problem with my son's prescription. Last time i ordered transitions but they didn't get transitions. I traveled to pickup but only one person could install my lenses but was on vacation. Called on the day they were to return and they were at lunch. Came the next day with that lunch time in mind and again, at lunch. Had to wait an hour to have work done, again, with lenses that were not as ordered. Asked to switch doctors and they wanted to charge me $50 to change. Now they only have one doctor. Warning! I once would have given this place 5 stars. 6 months after my appointment and I was billed for something. After speaking to them 3 times and I asked for an itemized list of where my $789 dollars went. My insurance company was able to tell me that eyecare center is trying to charge me for a test that is not covered by my insurance. With every eye appointment I have ever had, if ever there was a test available that wasn't covered, I was always asked if I wanted that. And I have asked 3 times for eyecare center to send me an itemized list. I have also asked on the phone what they are charging me for. They said items not covered by insurance. But they can't tell me what exactly, nor does the bill have a list for what I am being charged for. My husband and I both have been going to eyecare center a long time. The doctors changed, the staff was different. It felt rushed. But what doctor's office waits 6 months to send a bill by email. No call. No paper bill in the mail until I asked. And when I call, I don't get to talk anyone in the office I went to. And they don't call you back. No I do not recommend. My husband and I won't be back. read more

I am currently a patient of eye care center on Country Club rd in Concord. The communication in this office is completely inept. I am still waiting ( way after my insurance company has already been billed) for my contact lens prescription. I will not keep my next scheduled appointment. My husband canceled his appointment as well. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I would NOT recommend this eye care center to anyone. read more

The doctors are great but the staff is awful. They don't answer the phones whatsoever. I tried calling them at least 20 times throughout a span of two days, and I even called them at different time frames and still no answer! I have been a patient here since Dr. Bailey came to this office. Before then, I was a long time patient of Dr. Michael Farris. I'm beyond shocked by the treatment I received from them today. I chose to not have my eyes dilated due to other commitments I had after my appointment. I didn't have the extra money at this time to pay for the OptiMapping which is $44.00 due at the time of service since insurance plans do not cover it. I was told I had to do either or by the staff person after she spoke with Dr. Bailey. I refused & was told to find another eye doctor. When I told her that would be the loss of 2 long time patients, my husband & myself, she said "That's fine." My copay is should $20 for my exam & contact cost. My insurance covers the rest. I have never had an issue with Dr. Bailey. He has always been very pleasant. The staff is never the same from year to year, so I can't really speak to their service. I have taken the time this afternoon to look back at my receipts from previous years. I have been overcharged by this office each year. From my notes, I called last year & spoke with someone. I was told that since they have third party billing, that they would have to look into it. Well, life happens & I forgot to follow-up. That's my fault. I don't think I would recommend them. They don't answer their phones personally. You have to leave a message and they don't return your calls. Extremely frustrating. Too many other eye doctors that take my insurance to have to deal with this hassle. read more

When I arrived for my sons appointment the door was locked. I called and informed them about my appointment but she put me on hold and left me on hold for five minutes and 50° freezing weather instead of opening the door. I was dental they cannot locate my appointment which is funny because someone from your office called took my information in scheduled it. The silly woman on the phone had no answers for anything. I will never visit does location and I'd would advise no one go there if you don't want your time waste it. There were no apologies no nothing for messing up my appointment or leaving me outside in the cold. Horrible customer service. If they are not smart enough to schedule and save appointment I doubt they're able to help assist before I get to the eye doctor read more

I was a patient of Dr Farris until he retired and now I have Dr Bailey who is just as good as Dr Farris. Very pleased with his care and concern of my eyes. The only negative I bring away from here is the ability for frame adjustment which is poor. They were unable to fit my frames adequately and I was not impressed. I went to Lenscrafters at Concord Mills for my free frame adjustment. read more

These people will screw you over! I set up appointments for my daughter's here but wasn't able to go the day of the appointment and had to send my husband. I told him exactly what I wanted on their lenses. Polycarbonate, with blue light filter. I knew exactly what my insurance covers & what we should owe. I assumed they would be ethical & I was wrong. A month later the glasses were in and my husband gave me the receipt to pick them up. I looked over it & see a charge of $160 for lens package upgrade in addition to the polycarbonate lens. I worked in the optical field for years and knew immediately this was BS. At pick-up I asked the sales girl what this charge was because all I wanted was polycarbonate lens with blue light filter and she replied "oh, it's the blue light filter". Now, I purchased glasses from Visionworks a month earlier & blue light filter was $45, my husband purchased glasses from another place & blue light filter was $40. I said that's ridiculous I want to speak with someone in corporate and they gave me a number to call. When I called the number was to central scheduling & it took weeks to get a call back. However, once I got home & looked at the glasses I realized they had anti-reflective coating on the lenses, which I did NOT ask for and did not want because AR coating is difficult to care for and with young children they will be scratched and unusable within a month. So, I immediately knew what they had done. They've bundled blue light filter & anti reflective coating into a package so whether you want it or not, if you ask for one they're charging you for both. This is deceptive and I haven't been able to get them to own upto it & I will now file a complaint with my insurance company eyemed. Also, when you get an eye exam they are REQUIRED BY FTC to give you a copy of your prescription whether you ask for it or not & 2 months later, I have still not received copies! I can only imagine the number of people they're screwing over that do not know the difference. read more

Dr. Bailey was very nice, and professional. The facility was clean and the staff was very informative and patient. However, the only reason I did not give them a full 5 star rating was because of one particular staff member. She was rude and I felt like she was belittling me, and treated me as if I were a child. I felt very disrespected and did not like how I was treated and talked down to. My overall experience was great, though. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Farris for 20+ years until he retired. My son and I went this week and saw Dr. Bailey for the first time. We were both very impressed with not only Dr. Bailey, but the entire staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Truly a pleasant appointment. No need to look further. read more
