For the record I have a type A personality, I'm very organized and detailed oriented so never in a million years did I think I'd need a wedding planner...I'm a project manager for crying out loud! Unfortunately, when it came time to plan our wedding I was working 12+ hour, and commuting three hours every day in LA traffic. I didn't have the time or the mental capacity to plan anything, yet alone a wedding. Finally my sister encouraged me to get a wedding planner, and Vision Into Reality events was one of the top rated event planning companies on Theknot. Rolanda and I hit it off right away during our first phone conversation. Even over the phone I could feel her positive vibes and down to earth personality. I remember telling her she was my spirit person! She was so warm and energetic and made me feel like we could really pull this wedding off! We were such likeminded people, she was organized, detailed oriented and always went over and above the call of duty. My husband and I had a destination wedding in Mexico and that in and of itself is a whole other level of wedding planning. While it was at an all-inclusive resort, the wedding was a la cart so we had to pick EVERYTHING! Which can be the fun part of planning a wedding, but when you don't have time it becomes stressful. Without asking Ro took the list of things I envisioned and researched everything to narrowed down the options for us! So coordinated everything with the resorts wedding department and also with our travel agent. Nothing was ever too big or too small, whatever it was she took it and tackled it like it was the most important thing in the world! What was so crazy is that sometimes she knew what we needed before we did! She put so much time and love into helping us prepare for the wedding that on the wedding day we were all in sync! I remember I was getting my makeup done and I absentmindedly mentioned to my makeup artist that the groomsmen needed the steamer soon. Literally the second I said it, Ro walked right through the door and announced that she was there to pick up the steamer for my groomsmen! Mind blown! Talk about being on it! Ro even went above and beyond on numerous occasions! For example the groomsmen could only rent their suits from men warehouse for a limited number of days or they'd be fined each day it wasn't returned. Since all of them were staying in Mexico a few days before and after the wedding they wouldn't be able to return them in time. Ro volunteered to take all the suites and shoes back with her and return them so no one would get fined! That wasn't her responsibility but she took it upon herself to do it for us and we're so grateful! On the day of the wedding my garter felt funny so I didn't wear it down the aisle, my plan was to sneak it on before the garter toss. Unbeknownst to me all of my belongings in the bridal suite were taken back to my room which was on the other side of the resort. She rushed back to my room to grab it so I wouldn't miss out on such a traditional wedding moment. I absolutely love her for that. She even made personal sacrifices for us. She typically doesn't do events on her children's birthday weekend and she saw how much help I needed and made that sacrifice for us, we can never repay that debt. But we whole-heartedly appreciated her sacrifice. Even weeks after the wedding Ro was still helping us out. She noticed that our photographer hadn't upload all of our pictures, so she emailed them several times to make sure it didn't fall off their radar. We were so blessed to have all of help and support. To this day our guest say that we had the most organized and smoothly run wedding they have ever been to. And it's all thanks to Ro. What was even more heartwarming is that she fit right in with my friends and family. Some of my guest thought she was one of my friends not the wedding planner. That shows how seamless she fits in any situation.
