Long story short: I have had mixed experiences with this place in the past, but during my last visit they ruined my hair and charged me almost $400 dollars for it. Save your hair and your money and go elsewhere. I have been coming to this location periodically for the past few years. The first time, I had a disappointing ombré experience. I should have been smart and stopped there, but I kept coming for the occasional haircut because the location was convenient. Now I've previously visited twice this year, both for color treatments with really great results (In January with Julie to get full highlights and green color, then last month with Alyssa to take the green out. I also had an amazing, super enlightening blow dry & style with Sky. She is super sweet and a wealth of information). Anyways, I went again this week hoping to get my roots blended into the rest of my hair so I asked for Julie since she did my highlights. We discussed what I wanted and looked at pictures, and I told her many times that I didn't want to add too much dark because I am looking to do a pink balayage in the future. She said that she would lighten the ends of my hair more and blend my roots out a little bit to achieve this. I said this was fine, and we spent about three hours doing that. She had to keep leaving me mid-process to take care of other clients, which I wouldn't mind if the result was good. Anyways, after the color is all done and some confusion at the front desk as to who is supposed to cut my hair is sorted out, I am sat down in Tina's chair. Tina seemed rushed and impatient and ready to leave. She had her purse on the whole time and barely looked at the reference photo I brought in for my haircut. She pulled really hard on my hair the whole time and did a mediocre job blow drying it with the round brush, but I had been there so long that I didn't want to make a fuss so I could go home already. So Tina finishes and I am checking out my 'new' color only to see that my hair looks almost exactly the same as before - I can still see exactly where my roots end and my highlights begin, and the bottom of my hair doesn't look any lighter. Upon further inspection there were also weird patches of my root color all over (they looked kind of like cheetah spots). So I mention this while I am checking out and Julie comes to the front offering to fix it for me. I show her more pictures and she says she will bring my root color down further to blend it into the rest of my hair more. I say this is fine because that was the only way to cover the weird patchiness. When she was done, yes, my roots blended into the rest of my hair. But now most of my hair is my root color, which is not at all what I wanted and really jeopardizes my chances at going pink later on. I will just have to grow my hair out now before I can do that. The worst part is that I paid almost $400 for them to mess up my hair, since ombrés all start at 150 there (I also bought about $80 worth of Paul Mitchell products, but the rest is from them) - it is damaged from the bleaching she did that you can't even see anymore. I also paid $60 for two different hair treatments that Julie said would help repair my hair after the bleaching, but since she had to redo my hair and wash it again they didn't help at all. I told the front desk that I was unhappy but they did not offer me any discounts for their mistakes. So thank you, Baybrook Visible Changes for a VERY expensive lesson. I was so excited to schedule and appointment considering I hadn't been to A salon in over 5 years. They needed my card info to save my appointment. I went in extremely excited. I was going to get my hair ombre when I was already very light blonde. After 3 hrs of work on my hair to just add brown on top and toner to lighten the rest. I got my hair blow dried and stopped the lady immediately! I had black on top grey on lower layers then Orange! I then balled my eyes out when I saw I looked like messed up calico cat! Manager told me to come in the next day to fix it with a pro hair artist. When I left my hair wasn't as grey/ orange but my hair was like elastic. They then proceeded to charge my card on file over $250°°!!! Will never go back. Visible changes for sure! My 10 year old sister could have done a extremely better job. I went there today to get my hair highlighted. The stylist did a great job with the highlights, but I don't understand why she had to add a 20 dollar toner to my hair after washing it, the other VC I went to never did that, and I got the same exact thing done to my hair. And the other stylist who blow dried and straightened my hair singed a couple of areas of my hair with the straightener. He was a little rough with the straightener, I have baby fine hair. I think they are over priced on hair cut and styling, they do a good job though, but they should also let you know when sneaky cost are in there that they did not tell you about, like the toner.. I've never had anyone do that to my hair after getting it highlighted, it's upsetting when you are on a budget and trying to watch your money. The next time I go there I will just tell them no extras, just highlights and a wash.. i'll style it myself the next time. They do awesome with coloring there I have to say that. read more

I had never been to this location before and let me tell you, my experience was AMAZING. I had an appointment for 10, I showed up on time and they took me right away. The staff at the front were super nice and welcoming. Now here's the most important part, my precious hair. My appointment was with DAVID - master stylist - and I was getting a men's haircut. I had long curly hair and I cut it myself two weeks before so it was time to get it cleaned up and cut by someone who knew what they were doing. I was nervous at first seeing as though I tend to be awkward when communicating with people. But David made me feel super comfortable, he did an AWESOME job on my hair, and we had great conversations. We laughed and shared travel stories and so on! I will definitely be a returning customer and I actually told my wife I look forward to going back and having a chat with him! So I highly recommend this location and David. read more

I moved here a little over a year ago and Ive been trying to find a hair salon where I can get a nice cut/style/ blowout. I read the reviews from here and decided to go and see Simon, who has kept me as a client ever since. I was hoping to have a great experience but unfortunately that did not happen. I was referred by a friend to see Nicole for color and Simon for a haircut. A girl called me back and asked me to put on a robe and took me to Nicole's chair. There was hair all over the floor and the salon looked filthy. I should have left right then but I really needed my hair done. I showed Nicole a picture of what I was looking for (an hombre) and she automatically started rudely arguing with me that it was impossible. I asked her what my options were and she said I would have to go a bit darker which I agreed. We decided on a warm brown color. As soon as she started applying the color I already wanted out of her chair. She had no personality and acted like it was a bother to do my hair. Maybe she was having a bad day, but after reading previous reviews, it seems I am not the only one who she had a bad attitude with. She put me under a machine and didn't even tell me how long I would be in it. After the timer went off on the machine I waited a few moments and eventually had to flag her down. She seemed annoyed about that and told me to sit in a chair where they shampoo and someone would be right with me. Ten minutes later, a young girl came and washed my hair. She scrubbed my skin raw trying to get the color stains off my forehead so I told her to stop because I was starting to bleed and it hurt. I was then taken to Simon for a simple trim. As soon as I looked in the mirror my hair looked black. Simon assured me it would lighten after he dried it. He seemed cheerful but the whole time he was cutting he talked about his upcoming wedding. I thought this was supposed to be an experience for the client and not the stylist. When we were done one side was about a whole inch shorter than the other. Also, after my hair was dry, it still looked black! I'm not one to complain so I paid and left. I was so irritated at the customer service I received from Nicole and Simon. Over $100+ later I went to TNT and had them fix the mess visible changes made of my hair. I do not recommend this salon and regret cheating on my regular stylist. I will not be back read more

I asked for, & paid for, an "expert" stylist. I explained exactly the cut I wanted, & exactly what I didn't want. She understood & told me how she was achieving it, the whole time I was in the chair. Couldn't tell at first, but after washing out the loads of product used to sculpt & weigh down my hair, not only is the cut exactly what I DID NOT want, it is a TRULY bad job! Uneven & gapped! I could have gone to a chain "hair cutting mill" & gotten a better cut for 1/4 the price. I'm not even going to talk about the high pressure sales tactics they use to get you to buy their products, while you're trying to leave. read more

I had an appointment at 2:20pm today. After a 40 min drive to this salon, being stalled by a car wreck on the road and circling the parking lot for what seemed like forever, I was pleased to only be 10 min late. When I approached the counter to check-in, I was told 'Sorry, your appointment was at 2:20, it has been cancelled. We can't get you in again until 5:40.' Needless to say, I was very displeased (to say the least). I would be curious to know what the cut-off time is for canceling appointments. 5 minutes? Absolutely absurd and disappointing. I have been going to this salon for years and have been very patient, considering the number of times I have shown up on time or even early and have had to wait 15-20 minutes for my appointment to even begin. The only reason I put up with it so long is because I have always had decent service from stylists. I would highly recommend looking into less 'high-and-mighty' salons. Maybe one that actually provides great service and for a cost that is equal to the service provided because it is definitely not worth ANYONE'S time or money. First let may say I have been going to Visible Changes at Baybrook Mall for about 12 years. For the last 7years I found the best stylist,Imelda. She has always been kind and patient. A few times I have had to go back for a recut, only because I am very picky about my hair. I have a short, razor cut and I like it to be precise, afterall I am paying for it. Now my color and highlights are a different story. I have never found any one at this salon that can do a good job. Either the highlights will look spotty or the color will bleed into the highlights. So, I started doing it myself ,came to be to time consuming. So I let Julie at the salon try it. I told her everything I wanted. Came out perfect! But, when I went back for my touch up, everything went bad!!! She did it way to dark, could not see the highlights. So, she put a toner on it, told me to come back the next day and she will fix. Ok, so I did and my hair came out darker!!! And FRIED! And now she is not willing to fix. I call the corporate office, they refunded my money and said that they wil give me Extreme Therapy treatments. When I went to the salon to get these treatments, Mary (the manager) said they did not want to service me anymore! I called corporate, they backed her up. I did not get the hair treatments that they promised to me. Stay away from this salon and this company!!! They do not stand behind their services. And their answer for their mistakes is "Dont come back". WELL, I WON'T And you shouldn't either. read more
