Swindled again! I came here for a "kids cut " for my 10yo daughter and decided I would get a cut too at the same time. I asked the receptionist three times - between asking on the phone , asking when confirming and the day we arrived - what the " price " would be. They are shady and have always been shady when it comes to switching things up on you without telling you. I was told we were both booked with level 1 hairstylists. That my daughter would be $25 and I would be anywhere from $35-$70. I said what determines the price of mine , I was told " difficulty" of desired cut. I said ok well I just want a trim - 2-3in cut - nothing else. They said ok so it should be on the lower end but you'll be told by the stylist if it's not. We both get our hair done. He added face framing which isn't really my cup of tea , and my daughter got a simple trim of 2 in taken off. We go to check out- our total is $90. So I ask for a price breakdown- my daughter was charged $35 - I said I thought kid cuts are $25 , and I was told they are allowed so much " wiggle room " from the " guaranteed " price . Which then meant mine was $55. Because of this I left no tip- what I was anticipating leaving as a tip they charged me , so I felt bad but it was just another reminder why we no longer come here. read more

I have been here twice and I've been disappointed both times. First time I went in and asked her for lots of layers and honestly I believe she only gave me face framing layers she didn't bother to cut anything else. The cost of this haircut was way overpriced for the amount of hair she cut. Just yesterday I went in for a blow out and a very expensive one at that. She left it very frizzy and the style went away after a few hours. I'm sorry but the service here hasn't been great at all. She's been crying about her hair, and yes, it does look bad. She asked for layers, and they left it choppy and ugly, and the stylist was aggressively cutting her hair the whole appointment. She got hit with the comb and scissorts, and she threw her hair around so bad her scalp was hurting for days. My sister went prepared with pictures because she wanted the stylist to have a clear image of the hairstyle. In the end, they just took her money and messed up her hair. I went in and did a consultation showing the colorist Emma the color I wanted she assured me she could do it. When it was done, it was OBVIOUSLY not the color we discussed. The colorist agreed and suggested I talk to the manager. The manager tried to convince me it was what I asked for even after seeing pictures showing the difference in colors. I was forced to pay 253.30 for a color job so bad I was embarrassed walking through the mall to get to my car. I was practically in tears after, and the assistant manager Alexis was so rude and uncompromising about the issue that I will never go back to a Visible Changes. I am a first responder who works constantly. I don't have the opportunity to schedule a redo. They told me they could do what I asked, and I was forced to pay for a service I DID NOT ASK FOR. This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in a salon. Please feel free to contact me for pictures of my hair and the pictures I provided the colorist and asst Mgr to show the difference it is splotchy and 2 different colors on the top and bottom I could have done this color job at home by myself. Found this place on Yelp and although the reviews aren't good I called to make an appointment anyway. The receptionist was friendly enough but she didn't seem to understand what my request was. She asked what time I wanted to come in. I explained I could take any appointments from 9-3 yet she asked over and over what time. I'm trying to do a last minute appointment so any time between 9-3 however she didn't understand that. If we can't communicate well enough just to set an appointment then we shouldn't be doing business together. Waste of time. read more

When itemizing the services, there were several treatments at $40/each, an extra charge to use a hot iron and an up charge for the colorist they assigned to me because of her "level". The tiers system is a joke. After going there several times it's clear that the higher/more expensive tiers are based on years of experience/employment but not actual skill level. The lower tiers are more affordable and the stylists will actually listen to what you want and try their best. Pretty much all the higher tiered stylists don't even pay attention when you tell them what you want and/or show a photo and just zone out while they cut your hair. There's one that takes someone saying "layers" to mean they want a bob cut. For like $87 a haircut it's ridiculous. read more

I would give zero but all the receptions were so sweet. I went in just to get my roots touched up and add a toner, very simple. They fried my hair so badly in the back that most of it has broken off. They know that they had friend me badly because when they were brushing my hair to cut the ends the stylist who bleached my roots told the stylist who was cutting my hair not to brush the back. I had my hair cut here probably in 2014 and never came back because the lady went crazy with the thinning scissors and left my hair in worse condition after the blowout she attempted. I've been going to the Almeda location ever since but because they closed I decided to give this location another try. Today, Chanda cut my hair and she was very friendly and approachable, listened to what I asked and took her time. Parts of my hair were uneven due to an unfortunate bleaching incident but the woman with the red highlights stationed next to her jumped in to help guide her through it. She was very encouraging when Chanda figured it out. Both of them are obviously passionate about their job and that makes all the difference during someone's visit. I wish there were more stylists like them! And thanks to my new layers, my hair feels lighter without having to lose half of it to thinning scissors! read more

Great haircuts, good prices for salon work, I get my hair cut by Cody (or Kody?) who always listens. I've always been afraid of haircuts, with barbers always getting my requests wrong and leaving me upset, but since getting my hair cut by him I no longer fear a trim at all. He listens, knows what I want, works with me, and always does excellent work. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the stylist didn't know how to cut layers or bangs. I showed her several pictures of what I wanted and she still didn't get it right. I also felt like she was getting tired of working on my hair. She started brushing faster and throwing my hair around. She even poked me with the comb multiple times. If I was an employee, I would never do that to anyone no matter how tired I am. My hair is uneven and looks horrific, this is literally the worst haircut that I've ever had in my life. It doesn't make me feel good about myself. Honestly, if you love your hair go somewhere else. Find another place because they will ruin your hair. It was falling out in clumps, they chalked it up to me going blonde but I immediately noticed the difference in my hair integrity when I switched salons. Went last November and the girl who shampooed my hair had really sharp nails that actually cut my scalp. It was a very uncomfortable situation. The cut has created an itchy bump that has been bothering me since then and today I went to the dermatologist and found out that the scratch apparently triggered psoriasis which I've never had before. I have been to this location twice with my daughter, both times I used the same stylist. Her first haircut here was great, and that is why I booked and went back a second time. I used one of the top stylists, and after cutting my daughters hair he curled it even though I didn't ask him to. We left and her hair curled looked great, when I washed and blow-dried her hair two days later I noticed the worst hair cut I have ever seen. He completely butchered the ends of her hair, it wasn't even or blended. I usually don't complain but I called and got an appointment to come in and have it fixed. My sister took her to have it fixed I think two days later and it still looked uneven. My daughter has long hair and sort of thick. Her hair still looks awful and I'm so disappointed with what I paid and received. I thought by using a top stylist I wouldn't have this problem but clearly it doesn't matter how long they've been doing hair. He also did not wash her hair and I'm not sure how wet her hair was when he cut it , or if he sprayed it wet. I also filled out something on the visible changes website with a complaint and never heard back from anyone. The stylist was so nice and friendly but this haircut is awful, and how do you in good faith let someone leave knowing their hair looks like that. I have worked in retail many many years and I never had more horrible service . I went to visible changes , got a senior stylist to get a under cut and my bangs cut when I was seated I took my glasses off and showed her a picture of what I wanted she said ok she began shaving the back of my head in a straight line after I asked for a v in the picture after it was cut I got upset and let her know that was NOT what I wanted she cut around my right ear and cut my bangs then she began THINNING out my hair . She even put her hand in my face to show me the smell of a leave in conditioner without warning which was very disgusting When I got off the chair I put my glasses on and immediately wanted to cry I got up and paid even the women who checked me out started to giggle. The next morning I went in and the manager gave me a refund and set me up with an Entry level stylist to fix it because she did such a HORRIBLE job I had no choice but to SHAVE the other side of my head!! It was horrible now my hair is extremely thin , shorter then before and I had to shave wayyyy more then I wanted !! I still cannot believe they allowed this and now I have to wear a HAT everywhere !!! I am honestly to embarrassed to post a Picture from the front because my bangs were cut uneven and my hair is so thinned out it looks like I have two pieces of hair I truly regret going . I've been a client at VC for over 30 years. My regular chemical specialist retired, so I was referred another specialist that was the same "level". Long story short, hair cut went well but the highlights have all but faded in only 14 days. I called and spoke with the manager and chemical specialist, as well as, sent pictures of my hair to them. Bottom line is they don't know what happened and said to just try using purple shampoo..... this was their recommendation after spending over $400 on their products and services. They can't make the situation better and refuse to give any type of refund. VC definitely needs to do a better job. People spend alot of money to go there and expect quality work, especially when you select the highest level stylist and chemical specialist. And as I read through reviews you see VC respond by apologizing and for customer ton reach out to management to make it right. Well I can tell you..... they don't make it right. In fact, I was told "this is how they make their money to feed their kids". Not professional or appropriate to say. I've been needing to get a haircut SO desperately recently. I was searching for places all over but VC got me an appointment within the hour! (I shopped around while waiting!) I just went in to chop off a few inches but also ended up getting a wash and blow dry and WOW. My hair has never felt so healthy and lightweight!! Angie was absolutely awesome and easy to talk to! She also explain exactly what she was doing before doing it to make sure I was okay with said action (trimming, thinning, hair straightener) I have never felt so comfortable and welcomed while getting my hair done as silly as that sounds.
