I went to Visalia Kia to buy a telluride in 2022. They were charging so much I ordered one from Colorado and had it shipped to my front door for 8K less! Now, I'm unlucky enough to require service and recall repairs here. They told me the service would take "a couple of hours" when I dropped my car off at 9am. At 1pm I called and was told it would be done soon, 2:30pm I was told, "we forgot to work on your car but we just put it on the lift". All of this after I told them I had a hard deadline of 2:45 for pick up so I could get my kids from school. This week I made the drive to Clovis Kia for service instead. They told me one of the issues kia Visalia identified is covered under warranty(of course they didn't bother to tell me that)... Do yourself and favor and make the drive. It's worth it! read more

Potential buyer beware. Deceptive advertising and business practices. Dealerships, are we really still adding 'LoJack' systems for $1,995 to used vehicles to jack up the profits of the store? And, if you are, shouldn't you disclose this in the actual sticker price of the car and in your online advertising rather than trying to tack it on in Finance? And, it can't be removed? I would not recommend. I had to go in for my Kia sorrento. I was having issues with an error code and slight acceleration issues. I got a diagnostic test. Apparently my car battery was dead, so I had to have that replaced so they could do the diagnostic test. Then I was told my transmission needed to be replaced. Unfortunately I couldn't do it at the time. So I went in person to pick up my vehicle. Before I paid I requested I have the diagnostic paperwork, since I was paying for it. Vincent sena( the service worker) seemed to have gotten an attitude and somewhat upset for whatever reason. Said I could wait awhile since I was pulling some sort of stunt. Then when I addressed him about his rude behavior, he made up a story about my tow truck driver having the mouth of a sailor and just trying to get me to leave because he didn't want to offend his customers. ( I was having it towed so I wouldn't make my vehicle worse). The other two workers that helped me were respectful and understanding. When I got the vehicle back home. I had to move it by driving. It now has a loud grinding noise that wasn't there before I took it. read more

We decided on a 2025 Kia Sorento PHEV which we were pleasantly surprised with since we assumed we would have to get a used car to match our needs, but it was brand new. Good luck talking to someone in service. My car has been reminding me for weeks that I need my scheduled service. I followed Kia's instructions to schedule an appointment. I was promised a phone call within 24 hours. Twice I submitted this request. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't gotten a call, so I called them. Nobody picks up the phone in service. I called again, and told the guy who answered I'd like to talk to someone in person. He sent me to another number - supposedly a manager, and he didn't pick up his phone either. Tried to schedule service on their website. NO APPOINTMENTS FOR A MONTH. It's almost like they don't want my business. My wife and I are looking for a new car for her. The dealership did not have the interior color that I wanted, so they ordered my car from the factory in Georgia and within a couple days my car arrived. Angel Lierenas was my sales rep. He was thorough, professional and very knowledgeable regarding details of my chosen vehicle. He maintained good communication with me regarding the arrival of my car. He was not a Pushy salesman and allowed me to take my time in deciding what I wanted. I appreciate that because I have bought many new vehicles over the years, and had unfortunate experiences with pushy salesman. Angel was great at explaining all the bells and whistles of the vehicle to me with patience. Their service department is literally the worst. They never return phone calls and for whatever reason can't schedule a service for me. They can't even schedule a recall fix either. Apparently they are forever shorthanded and can't schedule anything. This is my first and last Kia I will ever buy! The dealership added $3,000 to the price for options that come standard. When I told them I was not paying the extra charge the manager reduced the add-on to $998. I would not go forward unless all the fees were waived and I received the advertised special which was $1,000 off price. I had to stand my ground to get the advertised price. I traded in my car 11 days ago and my car loan has not been paid off. I called the finance department and was told the dealership had 10 days to submit the payoff funds. It's been 11 days and I still have a balance. As of today I have a lease payment and a car payment on a car I no longer own. KIA is using my money instead of paying off the loan. Bad business practices. Would not recommend Visalia KIA. read more

My 2021 Kia EV6 has been in their shop 3 times in the last 30 days, the 1st time they troubleshoot and tell me it's fixed. 2nd time same issue as first time, now they need to order parts that are on backorder. 3rd time 20 or so days later back again to have new parts installed, on a Thursday, and said it was fixed. Friday afternoon same issue ask for a loaner vehicle, Eric in service gives me the 3 hour runaround til they close on Friday for the weekend, and I have no vehicle. I went back after buying a car 2 years ago from Joe. Not realizing the staff had changed so much. The car sales guy was great but the manager who gets the rates and loans was terrible. They took advantage of the fact that I was desperate to buy a car cuz of an accident totalling mine. Told me 8% then came back and said 10%. Crazy thing is my credit usage is under the 30% payment history 100% and score of 748 snd they gave me a 10% rate at 10years when the credit union a few days later told me 8% at 5years. I have another car on my credit in excellent standings almost paid off so I get it i would have a little higher intrest rate. But then they charge me way over on gap and way over on the service agreement. The raido was super low none of them knew how to make it louder so I'm taking it to Bakersfield Kia. Needless to say Visallia screwed me over and they know they did because they are all greedy instead of having a heart t and helping me in my time of need and getting me a good deal whrn I have excellent credit they took advantage of me. I will NEVER go back to them again and I will never recommend them with the new staff. Unless you want to be taken for every time and screwed over well then I suggest you don't go to them. Then I tried to call them a couple days later to ask them to cancel the current contract and redo it with better rates after talking to my friend who was a finance manager for 35 years and told me she never allowed her staff to do what they did to me to people for the dealership she worked for and that it's the click of a button to cancel it. I was so upset. Again NEVER go to Visallia Kia the men working there are greedy and will take you for all you have. No one is asking for a hnad out hut comr on 748 credit score under 30% usage and 100% on time payments. And you packed on 2% extra so you can make it all as comission on your checks instead of realizing someone wrecked i to my parked car and totaled it and helping me get a good deal you screwed me over. One star because I have to, but they deserve zero. My husband called and made an appointment to test drive a used vehicle that was advertised in stock at their dealership. We drove from Fresno to Visalia (with our toddler and me being 7mo pregnant) for this specific vehicle. The woman who made the appointment with my husband knew which vehicle we were wanting to test drive. When we arrived to the (dirty and busy) dealership we were informed that the manager drove the truck to Fresno that day. I asked if it was at the Fresno Kia dealership, they told us "No, he drove it to his house". What?! Who does that? I have never heard of such a thing, especially when we had an appointment to drive this specific vehicle! They were just like, um sorry bye. It was ridiculous. Also the waiting room was filled with trash, used face masks and ripped old furniture. We will never go back. read more

Our 2021 Sorento has been having transmission issues for over a year already but when my wife took it in originally, the service advisor said it is probably in her head described as "phantom issues" because of all the other problems our bran new car was having (weather stripping deteriorating in just a couple months, panoramic sunroof not closing, windows not rolling back up, software with phones not connecting, auto restart stalling the engine in intersections ..) that she could just be imagining the transmission messing up and it was actually fine since the diagnostic machine didn't find anything. Now that they have finally confirmed there are actually issues with the transmission (like many other people online complain about) they are giving me the run around about providing a courtesy vehicle saying it will take 2 weeks to get approval for a loaner car when I was promised by my service advisor they would provide one the next day. They have had the car for a week and half and are still waiting for a ticket to be submitted and approved so actual work can be done. And it's going to take another 2 weeks after the work is approved to get a loaner car is what I'm now being told. I have emailed management describing the discrepancies and asking why in the world it would take so long to get a loaner vehicle so we'll see what they come back with, but I would highly HIGHLY suggest you don't even bother with buying a Kia, and if you do, don't get one from Visalia or you will have an absolute headache dealing with their service department when your new car starts having issues. There are recalls and countless stories online from people describing exactly what our car is doing, but ours has no recall and the service advisor blamed it on Valvoline for changing the transmission fluid threatening that they probably used the wrong fluid and may have void the warranty. Just waiting in the waiting room and seeing how many other cars were coming in for issues and hearing the advisors discredit the customers was beyond frustrating. Run, don't walk away from Visalia Kia. Save yourself the frustration and financial burden they cause. read more

I had been in contact with the internet sales staff for about two weeks. We negotiated the cost and terms for the car I wanted. When I arrived, everything I negotiated went out the window. I test drove the car, which was covered in dust, littered with candy wrappers inside, and had the check engine light on. The sales manager hand wrote a purchase agreement, would not include resolving the check engine light, did not honor the cost or terms negotiated, and were wholy rude and hyper aggressive. I contacted management over this dealership and two other Selma dealers, and they informed me the vehicle was sold. Two days later, the salesman called and asked if I was still interested. This place is a mess and the absolute stereotype of car salesmen. The sales manager needs to be let go. Get a bus pass before buying a car here. read more
