had an accident on my motorcycle and I took to another shop. They held the bike for six months while telling me different stories here and there without producing any work so I pulled it from the shop and took two Vasalia Harley Davidson thinking there's no way that I could have a bad experience with such a big name as they are approved for insurance work. that was not the case although they did not take six months like the previous shop to do nothing. It was quite the opposite roughly 3 months after I dropped it off. It was ready to go and found my bike was done, but there were debris painted over in the front fairing, there were pinstripes that were put on a quarter inch lower from one side to another and a 6 inch span. There were drip marks down the rear of my saddlebags where they repaired a scuff they installed. The incorrect windshield made the complaint about the incorrect windshield they went ahead and installed a second incorrect windshield . I made it very clear from the beginning that it needed to be repainted. All of those items needed to be repaired and I was reassured that if I pay my balance and take the bike, they will get those items addressed immediately and that has not been the case. They are pointing the fingers at the insurance company that already paid them to do a job and they did not. the insurance company is pointing their fingers at the shop saying we already paid for the repairs, and I'm just stuck here with a bike that needs to be repainted and all the pieces that were paid for need to be replaced because they are incorrect. And all around horrible experience you pay in full like you're supposed to trying to do the right thing and the service rider lied straight to my face just to collect payment and get me out of his hair.! I do not recommend the shop at all. read more

Eli in at the parts counter is your go to guy! He is super meticulous and thorough when getting your wants , needs and information. I stopped in with quite the "laundry list" of questions and ideas for my 2015 Dyna Street bob and he was happy to help. It's very difficult these days to walk into an HD store without at least someone trying to force a sale on you and this was absolutely NOT the case with Eli. He was very informative about everything he shared with me and not once did I feel like he was trying to commit me into purchasing anything from him. We spent maybe about an hour going back and forth through parts books and researching online. Overall a 10/10 experience. I think he is a prime example of what staff should be like at all HD locations. Hopefully someone will take notice to him and reward Eli for his hard work! I ended up purchasing some Thrashin Supply Co. Soft bags for my bike because I felt bad he had worked so hard and I wasn't leaving with anything. read more

Not sure if it's complete incompetence or just ignorance but when a hog member requires service you should probably provide that service ASAP. The bikes in here are well designed for the customer. On the last night of a 5 day trip to Yellowstone we stopped on the way home in Visalia before the final leg home to San Diego. While going to an early dinner on Monday evening my buddy noticed a nail/screw in the rear tire of my '14 FLHTK. After dinner we made a beeline to Visalia HD arriving around 4pm. They're closed Monday and a quick check would have told us that, no problem. Called the dealership to find out when they open on Tuesday . . . but imagine a business of that size and magnitude without any kind of recording to provide any information whatsoever. The phone rings, and rings, and rings, and . . . well, you get the idea. No problem, we'll show up at 8:30 am the next morning. Undoubtedly we can get a quick tire change and get on the road. We were WRONG! Let there be no mistake, every one of the staff members from service, parts, and motorclothes were more than friendly and helpful. However, after showing up at 8:30, clearly identifying that we're on the road I was told that they had 3 techs, and 3 appointments for 8:30am. Long story short, almost 3 HOURS later I was on my way . . . all covered under my road hazard insurance so no $$ out of pocket and I did make it home without incident. This was nice given one of the regulars there shared a story of Visalia HD changing a tire before one of their trips and how it blew out during the trip due to a twisted tube within several hundred miles of the tire change. To say I was a little anxious on the ride home is an understatement. So I know that at the two dealerships I use at home, I've often been told my service was delayed slightly to manage repairs to get travelers back on the road. No problem, I can wait. I know, from being on the road with my group of friends we've always been able to get minor to moderate service to get us back on the road with priority without exception. Now I did see one gentleman waiting for his service, but where were the other two clients with 8:30 appointments; let me guess, they were picking them up at 5:00pm? In summary if you need a place to stop for friendly service great, stop in and have a great time with friendly and helpful employees. If however, you're on the road and need some service, ride or tow your bike to Fresno or Bakersfield; in the end you'll likely be on the road far far sooner. Who knows, they may be booked all day long and you'll find yourself looking for hotel rooms for the next available service opening. read more

I have a Ultra Classic with a side car, the bike just just quit running ! Had it towed to Visalia HD The computer was gone, and I was leaving for a month on the road, they found one at Bakersfield HD. I drove to Bakersfield HD payed 500 for computer. On return to Vislalia they still had a week to get me going. I also had a oil cooler installed. They did not work on bike until two days before my leave date, but they got me going! Got into Canada and lost rear cylinder so went back to HD of Spokane (great shop ) They found spark plug wire with a whole rubbed in it, well Vislalia had replaced plugs and coil also ?? On return (got lucky and made it home):lost my stater they had crushed the hot wire under oil cooler bracket and wore a whole in it ( I replaced this myself) On going into Vislalia HD the shop foreman was to busy in his office to talk to me. (Had a nice looking lady with him laughing it up):the service wrighter told me the did not change my plug wires and there shop was not responsible for stater . They did offer me a free oil change, I told him I used synthetic oil, he told it would cost me 50 dollars and gave me a hand written note for this, I asked if he really thought I was that stupid to ever go back to them. The note is framed and hanging in my shop, I had to redo all the work they did with the exception of mapping the bike. The lines on oil cooler had wholes rubbed in them from poor roughting so I paid 1,500 bucks to get my bike screwed up!!!! Now I. drive to Fresno or Bakersfield or mail order I will not go in there door, not even for a bit bolt. They are truly bad!!! They even disbanded there hog group for a while, did not need them, they were in the road ????? read more

We have been going into Visalia Harley off and on over the past years, we had decided to purchase our 1st Harley in 2003 the 100 Anniversary a Heritage Softail in yellow and proud to say we still have it, don't use it much any more cause since then we have bought a 2011 Electric Glide Ultra Limited in Root beer brown, but in 2012 walked in and fell in love with a yellow & black CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide and decided to trade the brown in for the yellow and we would have matching yellow bikes, but then in 2017 we walked in again and a Laguna Orange Freewheeler was sitting there and we just had to have it. We go in if just to pick up a hat or a t-shirt, service our bikes etc. the staff has always been great, everyone there has treated us like family friends and not saying we are in the market but if we were to be looking for another bike we would not go anywhere else. First time stepping in the store! Everyone was informative, welcoming and plain' awesome!!

My bike broke down on a Saturday and this dealership got me right in to repair the problem (I was on a trip). A few hours later, the bike was repaired and I went back to the hotel. A few hours after that, I noticed that my backrest didn't look or feel right and my special engine cooling fan never kicked on. I then realized that my backrest wasn't properly put back on. I lifted the back rest up and noticed that someone jammed the seat back in, missed the slot and my spring was missing. I was pissed because the dealership was then closed. Pros: the staff was extremely friendly and they fixed my bike quickly and only charged me for labor. Cons: they broke my backrest and never said a word. Also, I now have to figure out how to get my special engine fan to kick on. UPDATE: My cooling fan burned up several days later and I found my spring for the backrest...look, if you don't know how to put something back in, tell the owner...just don't force it. I will not be returning to this HD facility in Visalia, CA read more

I went earlier with my dad and asked if they can just fix the tube of a motorcycle tire. We didn't have the actual motorcycle vehicle with us. Just the tire. The guy said no. Not in a friendly way either. And that they only do work on Harley Davidson vehicles. It wasn't a big thing. It was just a small fix. They were all just hanging around talking and laughing. The tire was to a Kawasaki, but again, we didn't have the bike with us. It was just the tire. I will never go there again. We had to travel farther to a different Harley Davidson ship to where they were able to fix it. Rude guys that work there. Never again will I take my dad or anyone to that location. Nice shop and awesome bikes. Came by for the rib and tri tip cook off event with my husband and were casually looking at the bikes when a staff member comes up to us and was way too forward. He was serious, kept pushing questions when we specifically told him we were just looking and he responds with "oh so you don't have any questions, you know it all already?" With his facial expressions and body language we didn't take what he had to say lightly (basically he was rude and we got offended). It got awkward and we felt uncomfortable just with him, but aside from that the event was pretty nice. read more

2nd time in the store. 1st time. Was 2 years ago and I told myself I was never coming back. No help from sales staff. Came in today and was looking around the showroom floor and once again, no help. Clothing associates were helpful. I asked the finance manager who was in his office talking to a sales lady about extending the warranty on my 2015 bike, and they both looked at me, answered my question, and went right back to talking about whatever they were talking about. Took parts in 2 weeks ago. Said it would be ready by Friday. Called on Friday and parts had barely came in. No big deal. Wait until the following Friday and call. Said they just needed to install one more part and would call me back at 3pm either way. Never received a call. Went in Saturday morning and was told that they broke the tool and wouldn't be able to get one until at least Tuesday. This told me that they hadn't even started working on it until the day before. Lied to multiple times and still don't have my parts back. Very disappointed in the customer service. Once I get my parts back I will never come back here. I'll gladly drive to Bakersfield or Fresno for any future service. read more

We purchased a Harley Davidson from the Visalia Dealership on Saturday July 25th. It was very busy that day and we were pre-approved so the transaction went quickly. We were having the bike delivered on Tuesday July 28th and the handle bars were not line up for my husband so the sales manager said he would have that fixed before it was delivered. Later on, while looking at pictures, we noticed that the bike did not have a fender and my husband would not have purchased it if we knew it didn't come with one so I went down to the dealership to speak with the sales manager Johnny. I was able to speak with him and he stated that the bike did not come with one, it was sold as is. I asked him if there was any way I could get one and he let me know that he would go ahead a put one on for me. He stated that if my husband would have come in and asked he wouldn't have done it but since I am asking he will put one on from another bike and deliver it. They delivered the bike while my husband was at work and everything seemed fine but when he got home he noticed that the bikes handle bars were not adjusted. He was just learning to ride so was unable to take the bike down to the Harley dealership and have it adjusted there. I called the next morning and spoke with Johnny again. He told me it was very simple and any man with tools could adjust it or he could ride the bike down and have them do it. I let my husband know (who was at work) and he said he would take care of it. I then received a call from Johnny; he was very stern and seemed upset. He explained that my husband had called complaining and yelling that the dealership did not adjust the handle bars. I let him know that I did not know that my husband had called as he was at work but I can call him at lunch and see what is going on. I let him explain to me that he gave us a $350 fender and that was out of courtesy. He would have never done it for my husband but since I asked him he did it. My husband should not be complaining about a simple handle bar adjustment that he can do himself. I let Johnny continue to vent and again stated I did not know why he called him. I called my husband and asked why he was calling Harley yelling but he stated he wasn't mad and just left a message with the lady that answered. He said the lady was very pleasant and just said she would let Johnny know he called. I told him that he had called me asking why and my husband didn't understand why he didn't return his call instead of me. Not too long after that, Johnny called me back again. He then continued to yell at me about the $350 fender. By this time, he had called me twice upset over giving us the fender. I did not appreciate being yelled at so I told him to take the fender back. Please send one of his guys to come take it off the bike so I can stop hearing about it. That was his choice to give it to me I only came in that day to ask about it. I did not think at the time I would be harassed for taking the fender. He upset me so much I was crying and asking him to just take what he shouldn't have gave us in the first place. He then apologized, said he should not be upsetting me like this. We ended the conversation with him coming over after work so he can personally adjust the handle bars for my husband. Johnny then called me back for the third time that morning. I did not answer due to him upsetting me so much from the last call. He left a message stating that he could actually come over on his lunch break. I called my husband to come over from work and meet with him, since I was so uncomfortable with him at that point. I have my newborn and 4yr old daughter and did not want any confrontation at my home. He came out and met with my husband to adjust his handle bars about 30min after that. I will no longer be going into Harley in Visalia due to the fact I would be very uncomfortable. As a sales manager, Johnny should not be communicating with customers in this manner. I just made a large purchase and felt very disrespected. read more

There service department is more concerned how fast the job can be done than how right. They make unrealistic promises to customers like same day delivery when they don't have the parts in the building. They must believe its easier to apologize than to get it right. The only reason I give only 4 stars is NO ONE PLACE CAN HAVE ALL THE PARTS but Harley Davidson of Visalia more often has what I'm looking for, for a newer HD and a classic I work on too. Counter help (parts) is quick, friendly and efficient at retrieving parts or ordering them. Living in the mountains (because I don't play well with others) it is important to be able to locate parts before I head down to get them. Mike in parts has been very helpful time after time. All in all I will be a continuing customer there. read more
