Good service. I had to ask to try on about 20 helmets and they were more then eager to find them in my size. Decently going back.

I'm really glad to have D5 as a local resource for the moto community in Bishop (and for those…read morepassing through). They're friendly, professional, fast, and reasonably priced. A number of my friends have been taking their bikes in here for years. I finally had mine in this week and had a great experience. I brought in my 701E for a sticky clutch lever. Dave was super helpful in fixing the problem and also identifying and remediating a few other issues. He could hear the engine clanking around, checked the oil, and sure enough I was about a liter low... I also had a mushy front brake, which he bled, and it's perfectly crisp now. He also swapped out my rear tire, and had the bike back to me in under 24 hours. Throughout the process Dave helped explain what was going on with the bike and what to check for in the future, while sharing his experience riding in the area and his recommendations for local conditions. It's that extra mile beyond just fixing the problem at hand (which is super important) that makes the shop great--taking the time to make sure their customers' bikes are running well and that they're having fun out there riding. Thanks to Richard at the front desk and Dave in the shop for being a great resource to the community.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!! Had my engine rebuilt on my 2002 yz250f about 8 months ago by Vejar Bros. Two weeks…read moreafter my bike was returned, I was racing in Porterville and lost my clutch. The mechanic didn't properly torque the clutch holding nut so it slid off the crankshaft and destroyed my clutch plates, basket, and also my primary drive gear. I took it in and he said he'd make it right. My CDI just so happened burn up while he was fixing it so he supposedly replaced it with a used one. Replaced my stator with a "new" one, within 4 hours of engine time, my stator went out only for me to discover it was never replaced. It was the OEM stator that came factory on the bike. Orange rtv silicone was used instead of proper gaskets. That same silicone/metal shavings was found stuck to the inside of my flywheel. He also pulled apart my top end for no apparent reason and charged me for a new top end gasket.. All in all $2937 for the rebuild and second trip. Shade tree mechanics and poor customer service..

I don't know if they still service motorcycles, but if they do hopefully they have a new mechanic…read more I took my bike to their shop just to dial in the jets and was disappointed with the service. When you own a bike you become very familiar with the performance of the machine. I was told after the service the bike was fine, but at 3/4 throttle it choked (starved for fuel). The mechanic said he tested it and it ran fine. The store owner agreed and defended his mechanic. I took the bike home and dialed it in myself ordering 4 different sets of jets to experiment with. After a weekend and many hours I found the correct jets, something I thought a shop could do, i thought that's the service I paid for. Shame on me for trusting this shop.
