They had white zifandel which I learned was created by Sutter Homes by stopping the fermentation process early, which leaves a natural sweetness to the grapes. It was done accidentally, but turned out good!! That was cool. There were dessert wines, non alcoholic beverages, red wines, merlot, chardonnay, white wine, other beverages, and more. It's like wine Heaven! The store is clean, well lit, and organized. The staff was helpful. They also have a rewards program. You can get the app to receive discounts and points. I am an Uber driver and briefly pulled into the curbside pickup area while completing a pickup. An employee named Lucy approached me in a very aggressive and unprofessional manner. She raised her voice, pointed her finger at me, and told me I would be "banned" for parking there. While I immediately moved my vehicle once informed of the policy, the way she communicated was very confrontational and felt threatening. Afterward, I asked to speak with a manager about the interaction. I was directed inside, where I spoke with a manager who confirmed the curbside policy regarding Uber drivers. My concern was not the policy itself, but the employee's tone, body language, and overall behavior. I also noticed that shortly after this interaction, a white male driver pulled into the same curbside area and did not appear to receive the same treatment or confrontation. As a Black woman, this raised concern for me and left me feeling uncomfortable about whether there may have been unequal or biased treatment in how the situation was handled. I am also a regular customer at Total Wine & More, and I was disappointed by this experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and addressed appropriately so all customers and drivers are treated with respect and consistency.

ABC stores are the only retail outlets in Virginia where customers may purchase liquor. This particular location is located in a strip mall next to Food Lion on Godwin Blvd. I am not a big drinker, and especially so when it comes to liquor. I went to ABC to buy some rum for a glaze I was making for Christmas (http://steamykitchen.com/7699-ham-blackberry-rum-glazed.html). My first trip was quick just to pick up the rum, so I decided to stop by again today before I wrote my review. I was surprised to find out that they do not carry beer or wine--just liquor. Since every state has different laws, I didn't realize this about Virginia until today. You have to buy your beer and wine at a grocery store, and then go to ABC to purchase your liquor--at least this one is nearby Food Lion. This ABC store is very clean and organized. It's a medium-sized building but I think you will be able to find what you need there. The staff was extremely professional and courteous--I was impressed. If you need to hit a liquor store in Suffolk -or need lottery tickets- this is your place.
