Find them in the Birdneck Shoppes in between Laskin & Virginia Beach Boulevard. The store is one of two anchors and signage is exceptionally good on the building. This Virginia ABC has a fresh new look and is inviting to customers. Parking is nearby and the lot has been clean. The interior although clean, bright and extremely organized with displays is a letdown on size. The bourbon area particularly has less shelf space than others. However still a strong inventory of favorites. They also have a refrigerator offering cold alcoholic items such as Jack Daniels Honey. What has elevated the store is their fabulous customer service from staff and female manager. Twice the manager has went above and beyond to assist me with harder to find allocated bottles. Although this is a store that I could easily drive to from my home it's not one that I will frequent with nearby Hilltop being superior on bourbon inventory. That should take nothing away from one of the newest and cleanest stores in Virginia Beach.

Located in the Providence Square Shopping Center in Kempsville. The store is West side of the strip with excellent signage. The center is updated and has plenty of parking. No debris in the area or upon walk up. My arrival was just before noon and there was a line. Any bourbon hunter knows what this means. It's Monday truck day and some hard to find bottles are ready to be pillaged. I learned it was STAGG Jr. today which is rare. The store was clean and organized. All of the new stock was on shelves. The line was orderly and when opened precisely at 12 PM customers made their way to a box of 12 STAGG Jr. I got the next to last one. Price retail is just under $60. However secondary market hundreds. This was a great day for an elusive bourbon. Checkout was socially distanced with the staff protected by plexiglass. No issues with my gift card transaction. The clerk was friendly and knowledgeable. Another staff opened the door for my exit. This will not be a regular store with distance from my home. However if they have certain stock I cannot find elsewhere I have no issues visiting them again. I created a collection of area ABC stores that users may find helpful.

The Oceanview shopping center sign is easy to locate and the main entrance is by the sign. Parking is plentiful and the lot clean. The store is pretty small and it's in an older strip. However, it's clean with plenty of natural light. I think most customers can find what they need with a variety of spirits offered. The bourbon area was good size and fully stocked with the truck delivery arriving that morning. I asked the manager Charity about a few hard to find bourbons which they did not have. Since I had the time she did tell me that bourbon was her specialty and pointed out several of her favorites. Her knowledge was great! I left empty handed which does not occur often. However, I liked the store and area. Although it's about 20 minutes from my house I probably will return with excellent customer service.

Wine is made on site in the distillery and she has been in business for 8 years. We visited on a Saturday and there was a couple of vendors on site selling merchandise. 5 bucks for 6 samples is definitely reasonable. We indulged in the fruit infused wines, draft wines and slushies. I must say the draft wines were delicious and I wished those were bottled so I could have brought them home. All in all great places and would definitely stop in again.

We were the only patrons for much of our visit. My birthday daughter and I ordered wine sample flights and chatted up the owner. Wife shopped the gift area and picked out a nice bauble. The good: the owner was very engaging and told us about the wines (and wine slushies) they offer. We asked where the grapes came from and she explained that some came from Chile, some from California (I believe) and other places, and that she blends them here. (This would be expected with no attached vineyard.) The place was very clean, and the restrooms were easily accessible and spacious. The price of the flights was a mere $5 for six communion cup sized samples -- you choose 6 of I guess 12 - 15. Mulled wine is a welcome option on a winter day. The disappointing: While there is a good assortment of wines, and many were on the good side of okay, none stood out and said BUY A BOTTLE OF ME. The fruity sweet wines were VERY sweet, not really good for dessert wine or sipping. (Sorry.) But again, the reds especially were drinkable and pleasant. Verdict: a good stop if you need a break and a glass or two to go with your conversation. Just don't set expectations too high and you'll be fine.

They are only open Friday 4-7, then Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7. So be mindful of that before driving all the way down to the beach. I wish they were open during the weekday, would be nice little after work hangout spot to catch a flight or two. The flights are $8 each and you get to choose 4 options. You can't beat that. I usually get two flights making my total $16 and I leave with a nice buzz. The customer service is really good. Our bartender carried on a conversation with us and kept us entertained. She's engaged and I'd like to wish her a happy wedding day. Over all I will continue to visit this spot, when open b/c I love how low key it is. Please note major construction going on currently around the distillery so may have to take a detour to get to them.

I arrived around 6:30pm in hopes I could still order a flight, since they close at 7pm. Thankfully, they weren't in a rush to close at all. In fact, almost 10 people came in after me. The lady working there was pretty nice and personable and the place was very clean. The flight includes 9 different flavors and you are able to choose 4 flavors for the tasting. My friend and I ordered our flights and enjoyed our tastings. Some we enjoyed more than others but it was still a good time and the drinks were very strong. My favorite was the Watermelon Ghost Margarita, which was made with fresh, watermelon juice and tequila with smoked ghost pepper. While at the Distillery, you can purchase bottles to take home or simply order a cocktail to enjoy. If you're near the Oceanfront, grab some friends and definitely stop in.

That's a very large strip with a lot of traffic. Parking is adequate, but it's congested. I found the lot clean and walk up debris free. It's not far from a favorite store Got Fish. I was not greeted by staff as they were busy, but later asked if I needed help. The area was clean and bottles organized and displayed with signage and price tags. The store shelves were thin on inventory. However they did have a bourbon I love Four Roses Small Batch select. However I bid not need and left empty handed. This is not a store close to my home so I would only return if there were a specific bottle I was searching for. The staff was very helpful.

My visit was scheduled around a phone call around 10 AM to locate a gift for a friend. A nice staff person named Stacey picked up when the store was closed. I told her I what I was looking for and she said they had a truck with a few rare brands. However, she did not want to get my hopes up on an extremely rare delivery of Old Fitzgerald. I arrived at the store off Cedar Rd. thats in a strip off the beaten path. Signage is not good unless your directly in front. Parking was excellent and the lot clear of debris. Upon arrival I was concerned with the small line that had formed at 11 30 AM. I waited and found out I was number four for three bottles of Old Fitzgerald bourbon. I decided to hang in there for other rare bourbon possibilities on the truck. When the store opened Rose held the door open for around 6 customers. I looked over their stock which was very good. The staff was very helpful and I explained that I was looking for a rare bourbon for a birthday present. I waited for anything to be put on the shelf from the truck. After around 30 minutes one of the staff told me the Old Fitzgerald was available as the third person did not want to purchase at the price point. Talk about lucky! The checkout was very smooth using a credit card. The staff was friendly and excited for my big score. I would recommend store 069. This is my first 5 star review of a Virginia ABC Store. I cannot be a regular with its distance but Chesapeake friends please visit them.
