The location is visible off Ferrell Parkway in a strip. The store is on the corner of the building. Parking is plentiful and lit clean. This was delivery day so the store had some nice allocated bottles of bourbon. Boxes were on the floor as they rushed product up the best they could. It appeared they were short staffed, who isn't these days. I found what I was looking for in a Knob Creek 12 year and a EH Taylor Small Batch. The manager checked me out and was friendly. She discussed a few things going on with Virginia ABC that was helpful. This is not a regular, but recommend and would happily return.

I was there yesterday , June 19th. It was 6:50 PM, 10 minutes before closing. There was a short…read moreolder guy named Mickey monitoring the door, making sure that everyone was wearing a mask. During the 10 minutes I was in the store I watched this man be very disrespectful to the employees and customers. He was telling the employees to "Just shut up and do what I say." I must've heard him tell the two guys working the registers to "shut up" at least five times.... they weren't even saying anything in the first place! He was also just shouting orders at the customers entering the store. The store was busy because it was 10 minutes before they closed so Mickey was trying to get everyone out of the store so he could close up. Around 6:55 he told the 2 men working the registers , as well as the 4 or 5 people waiting outside that they would be the last customers of the day. A younger black woman that was waiting outside didn't have a mask, so he told her that she couldn't come in. At 6:58 - About 3 minutes after he stated that there would be no other customers, a middle aged white man approached the door and said "All I need is 1 bottle of Jack Daniels" and pretty much begged to be let it in. **THIS GUY DID NOT HAVE A MASK AND MICKEY LET HIM RIGHT IN- NO QUESTIONS ASKED.** As the man entered the store, the younger black woman that Mickey denied entry to made a comment about how she was not let it because she didn't have a mask - just 3 minutes earlier. Mickey reluctantly let her in the store. She told him that what he did was not fair. I agree with her. It seemed blatantly racist. All of the customers in the store also agreed. Once the other customer started to chime in , Mickey started to say , "Oh, here we go again...." That guy literally didn't see anything wrong with what he did. This is ridiculous and needs to be addressed immediately.

The location of this Virginia ABC Store is in Landstown Commons an area I frequent. It is directly in front of YNot Pizza off Princess Anne inside the strip which can be confusing to navigate. There is plenty of parking and the lot was clean. The store is is average to a bit larger than others. They carry everything you could ever want, however harder to come by items can be out of stock as I found. The staff was fantastic on their recommendations. Also they provided information on when the truck would arrive to get one of the six bottles of Blanton's Bourbon. I like this store better than ones by my home and plan on being a regular. 4.5 rounding up with killer customer service.

Two hour parking is off street or nearby garage that's FREE! The area is nicely kept with sidewalks power washed weekly and windows washed weekly. I did spot debris outside their door however on my most recent visit. On November 10th the state of Virginia had a special bourbon release across the state. Formerly lottery bottles were available in all stores across the Old Dominion. I lined up early on a beautiful Fall day with others that became friends after six hours. The manager peeked out at around 8 AM and gave numbers out. She was terrific. I was #4 for Wellers Full Proof. It's retail $50, on the secondary market hundreds. At noon when the store opened everything was orderly and checkout was smooth. The cashier was friendly and wore a mask. The store is a smaller floor plan, but packs a punch on inventory, especially bourbon. It was a fun day learning more about bourbon and how to locate rare bottles from new friends that were much more knowledgeable than I. The Weller was incredible by the way.

Yelp has the wrong address and it's been reported. Plenty of parking and the lot and walk up tidy. There is curbside service by calling the store. All of the ABC's offer online ordering as well, but no delivery. I got to the business a few hours early and was #1 in line for Old Fitzgerald 14. It's a rare hard to find bottle that had been released over the past week in Hampton Roads. After this week the bottle will not be seen until next years release. I was lucky enough to score one on Tuesday too! The Regional Manager Sharon was at the store today helping them out. She peeked out to confirm they had the rare Fitzgerald bottle in stock. A few other customers soon followed to wait in line. Approximately six stores were allocated three bottles each today. At noon the doors opened and I was directed to the Old Fitzgerald on the shelf. Typically the store does not bother shelving the most rare bottles because it's gone in seconds. However the proper way to do it was done today with oversight of the regional manager. Checkout was smooth and I also received the box it came in. The items is pricy with tax $145. Secondary market it runs $500+ It was a good day and the store was impressive on customer service.

A couple of great visits to one of Virginia Beaches newest stores that opened during lockdown…read moreSpring of 2020. Few still even know they are there and the business is just off two busy roads. Find them in the Birdneck Shoppes in between Laskin & Virginia Beach Boulevard. The store is one of two anchors and signage is exceptionally good on the building. This Virginia ABC has a fresh new look and is inviting to customers. Parking is nearby and the lot has been clean. The interior although clean, bright and extremely organized with displays is a letdown on size. The bourbon area particularly has less shelf space than others. However still a strong inventory of favorites. They also have a refrigerator offering cold alcoholic items such as Jack Daniels Honey. What has elevated the store is their fabulous customer service from staff and female manager. Twice the manager has went above and beyond to assist me with harder to find allocated bottles. Although this is a store that I could easily drive to from my home it's not one that I will frequent with nearby Hilltop being superior on bourbon inventory. That should take nothing away from one of the newest and cleanest stores in Virginia Beach.

Signage can be seen from the road. Parking lot was clean and spacious. There are also spaces closer to the business on the side I would recommend. I arrived at noon with my bourbon hunting brethren to get a rare bottle. However the line was long. Once opened the line was orderly and I missed out on my first choice. However my second was a strong hard to find Knob Creek 15 year. The store is on the smaller floor plan of ABC, however the bourbon area was good size. Two checkouts are available. I had no contact with staff other than checkout which was straight forward by credit card. This store is not close to where I reside and may or may not return. 3.5 rounding down.

I do like that they sell local. This past year it seems like employees have changed. It's an ok store. Kinda small and has a clutter feel. Just feel cramped. There are quite a few of these stores close to me and the other ones feel bigger and more helpful when you need help and have questions. My mine draw back is the store feels cramped compared to other stores.

It's a large store with great amount of inventory. The bourbon section is adequate, but nothing mind blowing. A sales associate was stocking on my last visit and offered help. That elevates them for sure to above par. The store was clean and organized. I found a Sazreac Rye and checked out. I'm sure I will return.

Checkout is quick and my cashier even loads almost all my bottles in a box for me. Mission accomplished for $200!
