The location is visible off Ferrell Parkway in a strip. The store is on the corner of the building. Parking is plentiful and lit clean. This was delivery day so the store had some nice allocated bottles of bourbon. Boxes were on the floor as they rushed product up the best they could. It appeared they were short staffed, who isn't these days. I found what I was looking for in a Knob Creek 12 year and a EH Taylor Small Batch. The manager checked me out and was friendly. She discussed a few things going on with Virginia ABC that was helpful. This is not a regular, but recommend and would happily return.

I was there yesterday , June 19th. It was 6:50 PM, 10 minutes before closing. There was a short…read moreolder guy named Mickey monitoring the door, making sure that everyone was wearing a mask. During the 10 minutes I was in the store I watched this man be very disrespectful to the employees and customers. He was telling the employees to "Just shut up and do what I say." I must've heard him tell the two guys working the registers to "shut up" at least five times.... they weren't even saying anything in the first place! He was also just shouting orders at the customers entering the store. The store was busy because it was 10 minutes before they closed so Mickey was trying to get everyone out of the store so he could close up. Around 6:55 he told the 2 men working the registers , as well as the 4 or 5 people waiting outside that they would be the last customers of the day. A younger black woman that was waiting outside didn't have a mask, so he told her that she couldn't come in. At 6:58 - About 3 minutes after he stated that there would be no other customers, a middle aged white man approached the door and said "All I need is 1 bottle of Jack Daniels" and pretty much begged to be let it in. **THIS GUY DID NOT HAVE A MASK AND MICKEY LET HIM RIGHT IN- NO QUESTIONS ASKED.** As the man entered the store, the younger black woman that Mickey denied entry to made a comment about how she was not let it because she didn't have a mask - just 3 minutes earlier. Mickey reluctantly let her in the store. She told him that what he did was not fair. I agree with her. It seemed blatantly racist. All of the customers in the store also agreed. Once the other customer started to chime in , Mickey started to say , "Oh, here we go again...." That guy literally didn't see anything wrong with what he did. This is ridiculous and needs to be addressed immediately.

After finding a few…read morestate run alcohol stores not on Yelp I have made it my new mission to add and review everyone in Virginia Beach. Hey someone needs to do it right? Located in the Great Neck Village Shopping Center off Great Neck Road and Mill Dam. Customers will find plenty of parking and the lot was debris free. The walk was also tidy as the staff opened the door for me. This has been a new COVID policy to enforce mask use, but also nice to be greeted. The shop is on the smaller side, but packs a lot of inventory in too! The bourbon section which is where I always head straight to was decent, not overwhelming. I saw a few staples, but only one semi hard to find, Bookers which they had to my surprise seven bottles in their signature wood case. The layout is very straightforward and the staff has done a great job keeping the stock organized and business clean. I checked out with a Michters SB for $41. This bourbon is typically a great seller and readily available. Since Virginia controls their prices it's as close as a customer can often get to suggested retail. The staff was helpful and friendly. He offered a suggestion on a next purchase. This store will not be in my regular rotation. If they offer a more rare selection on a Monday shipment I may call to confirm product and pick up. Often rare items cannot be held. Check them out if in the area.

Their customer service and product knowledge are amazing. I had no idea what the difference was between a barrel whiskey vs. A regular one. My brother wanted a certain type, and I just thought it was a common offering. I learned a lot about how whiskey was aged and what the difference was between the brands on the top and middle shelves other than the prices. HeeHee! The parking lot is huge, the area is well lit, the landscaping is full of flowers right now. You will enjoy the vast amount of variety at the location. Management is great and everpresent on the floor to answer any questions, I love that.

The location of this Virginia ABC Store is in Landstown Commons an area I frequent. It is directly in front of YNot Pizza off Princess Anne inside the strip which can be confusing to navigate. There is plenty of parking and the lot was clean. The store is is average to a bit larger than others. They carry everything you could ever want, however harder to come by items can be out of stock as I found. The staff was fantastic on their recommendations. Also they provided information on when the truck would arrive to get one of the six bottles of Blanton's Bourbon. I like this store better than ones by my home and plan on being a regular. 4.5 rounding up with killer customer service.

Located in the Providence Square Shopping Center in Kempsville. The store is West side of the strip with excellent signage. The center is updated and has plenty of parking. No debris in the area or upon walk up. My arrival was just before noon and there was a line. Any bourbon hunter knows what this means. It's Monday truck day and some hard to find bottles are ready to be pillaged. I learned it was STAGG Jr. today which is rare. The store was clean and organized. All of the new stock was on shelves. The line was orderly and when opened precisely at 12 PM customers made their way to a box of 12 STAGG Jr. I got the next to last one. Price retail is just under $60. However secondary market hundreds. This was a great day for an elusive bourbon. Checkout was socially distanced with the staff protected by plexiglass. No issues with my gift card transaction. The clerk was friendly and knowledgeable. Another staff opened the door for my exit. This will not be a regular store with distance from my home. However if they have certain stock I cannot find elsewhere I have no issues visiting them again. I created a collection of area ABC stores that users may find helpful.

It's a busy strip with nearby Chick Fil A. Surface parking is adequate. I really like the newer renovated ABC's and this one is not a disappointment. It's a large store with great amount of inventory. The bourbon section is adequate, but nothing mind blowing. A sales associate was stocking on my last visit and offered help. That elevates them for sure to above par. The store was clean and organized. I found a Sazreac Rye and checked out. I'm sure I will return.
