A rare 5 star review from me! Great place, a must try for anyone in Suffolk or the surrounding areas! My wife and I just moved to suffolk a few weeks ago, and have stopped in at least once a week. Owners and patrons alike are super friendly, and their inventory is great. Awesome place to swing in and grab drinks for your house, or to hang out and have a drink in the shop. They have a few TVs, a few taps, and you can open and drink anything in the fridge. This was the first place I tried Drekkers, which has quickly become my favorite brewery and they always have a good selection of ciders & sours. read more

This place doesn't offer the most variety of beer and wine. But they have nothing that could be defined as ordinary. I got two bottles of a certain Cab that I'm not going to name because I don't want everyone else buying it too! The only clue I'll give you is it rocked... The lady who assisted me was incredibly friendly. H and H is about a half hour drive from me, but I will definitely return. read more

Great wine shop! Very limited selection of wines but carefully curated. Tried a couple of South African wines that were very reasonably priced and delicious. I was excited they also carry and sell hard kombucha. Loved the Flying embers watermelon basil. Highly recommend the Gentle giant red blend. Great spoor to take our wine, meet friends for a drink and apparently they're hosting a dinner with a wine maker in early May, awesome spot! read more

One of the top social bars in town! Uncork'd is a little bit wino and a little bit craft beer. It's an establishment that wants you to have fun and socialize while also discovering some brand new adult beverages amongst some brand new company. They have cards and games out on the tables as well to encourage the lighthearted nature that is Uncork'd. My wife and I went on a lovely Saturday afternoon and were able to get some one on one time with Emily, the owner. She was very warm and welcoming, had a great knowledge about wine and beer, and made some fantastic recommendations for us. She also allowed us to sample some beers they had on tap to see what we would be interested in. The Tempranillo that she recommended for my wife was great. The IPA she picked out for me was phenomenal. They also have some dessert options (the red velvet cheesecake looked amazing!) that are fresh. If you'd like food delivered, there are a few neighboring restaurants that can be of service (sushi aka and el korita to name a few). If you're new to wine, then I'd definitely recommend going on a Friday evening for a wine tasting! The place does get crowded, but you'll still have a great experience! They are also expanding to do additional tastings with vendors as well as beer tastings so be on the lookout for updates to come! read more

I wanted to send some champagne to some dear friends in Suffolk who had recently gotten married. Two calls to local liquor stores left me stumped, so I decided to give Uncork'd a try. And thank goodness I did! Emily (the owner) answered the phone herself and helped me every step of the way to find the perfect bottle of bubbly to celebrate my friends nuptials. She wrote out the personal card, decorated the package, and assured me it would arrive today! I wish I could give a higher rating, it was honestly so refreshing and humbling to have a small business owner be so attentive and sincere with a complete stranger over the phone. What a great night! We went to just get out and do a wine tasting. We tried a red and a white, which were both good. We got a glass of wine and sat down at the community table. OMG, so fun! We met some great people and I learned so much about craft beer, specially that I like the sours (and I'm not a beer drinker). I sampled SO much, laughed so much and left feeling like I had new friends. Emily (the owner) and everyone else we met were phenomenal. We will definitely be going back and possibly making this a regular visit. If you have not been, you are missing out. Wow. So, my dad and I just went here for a glass of wine maybe an hour ago now. The girl working was basically nice, but not very friendly. She tried to pour my dad a glass of wine (and charge him for the entire glass,) when there was only enough for maybe 1/3 of a glass left in the bottle. Like we could visibly see the punt in the bottle, and apparently that was supposed to be an entire glass. He took a sip, and so did I and I said "that's not great," but my dad was trying to be polite about it and asked the woman working to fill up the glass with the rose from the Proverb bottle, which is the rose I ordered. She poured it in the smaller glass, maybe hoping we wouldn't notice that it wasn't a full glass of wine. The rose was okay, but not great.‍ The atmosphere was a little strange. There was heavy metal/rock music on, which was pretty loud. We thought that was weird and off-putting. Listen to whatever you want before you open and after you close, but during hours of operation? We were just kind of surprised. We quickly drank our rose and left. Awkward experience that wasn't great. It just seemed like she didn't really care. read more

I really, really like this shop. They're so nice & helpful. Great selection. Generous samples, when they're available. There are 2 tables for seating. One that'll comfortably seat 3-4, and another that can accommodate 6. They do cheese plates and sandwiches. The selection of wine, cheese, and sandwiches changes, so it's best to call ahead if your heart is set on something specific. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll order it. What sets it apart for other wine shops is definitely how personable the employees are. It's a small shop with few employees, so they get to know you and visa versa. This is a quaint wine shop. Or craft beer shop. Literally half the store is wine and the other half is beer. By the bottle. Things you couldn't imagine. And just in case you do, and they don't have it, they'll order it. (And call you when it comes.) On Tuesday they have a special --buy a sandwich and get the second for two dollars. Both come with a sweet treat (cookie, usually) and chips or pasta salad. The pasta salad is fantastic. It's al dente and with feta and some other stuff I newly decided I like. I've tried the Ham & Cheese and the Turkey & Brie. I am an equal fan of both. There are tables, so you can dine inside. They have paint nights cause that's what's up. Check the Facebook page. There's a free wine tasting every Friday evening. At least four different wines. And free beer sampling, randomly. Check the Facebook for that, as well. This is a good place. Neat inside. Awesome local craft beer and wine shop! Stopped by to check out the new owners/store, inquired about 2 craft beers that are hard to find. The manager, Parke, was super friendly and helpful. He took my info, called me within a day to let me know they were ordered. I had my beer within 2-3 days. I was even able to buy a case at 20% off! He even helped me out to my car. They make delicious sandwiches for lunch. Paninis, cold, and hot sandwiches. Thursdays they offer 15% off all foods! Plenty of wine, craft beer, artisan cheeses, crackers, peanuts and other things to buy. Superb customer service!! Now I don't have to drive to chain stores in the area to find what I need. I've been in here several times, and always found a cool beer or a nice wine that I won't find at the farm fresh. I've never really stayed long enough to say much else. Last night we went in after eating at Sushi Aka, and had a couple of drinks and desert. It was all so good, and I am not really a desert eater. They served us a tiramisu cheese cake that wasn't overly sweet and went really well with the ice cream stout I was drinking. We had a wonderful time. read more

Under the previous owner this place was amazing and welcoming and had a knowledgeable staff. Friday night wine tastings were always crowded and a ton of fun, with plenty of regulars laughing and having a great time. This place has gone down significantly since the new owner took over. The regulars don't really come around as much anymore because they don't feel welcome. The new owner has been using the store as more of a gathering place for her friends as well as people associated with her political campaign, and that can be awkward for regulars that want to come in and have a good time. The store almost never has food anymore, when it used to have amazing sandwiches, cheese and meat plates. To my understanding the food handling license was lost for awhile and now that it is back in place, food has still not been stocked back into the store. The main employee that ran the store daily under the previous owner, Cliff, and who had a plethora of knowledge about wine and pairings actually had his hours cut down to the point of having to quit. I know I would never support a business that treats loyal employees so poorly, and a business that has basically isolated itself from the regulars that frequented the shop for years. Sorry to say since I used to be a regular as well, but this shop is definitely going to end up going out of business. read more

Firstly , the five stars rating is based on the experience of shopping just for beer at Uncork'd so can't comment on the wine. We got to the shop a few minutes after they locked the doors and turned off the neon open sign. However, the merchant, presumably the owner, let us in and she provided excellent suggestions on a few beers to purchase after asking about some of our prefrtences. The selection is not very large as craft bottleshops go but it was curated so the beers offered were varied and interesting. We purchased 5 different beers most of which we had never tried. It was great to receive knowledgeable and passionate guidance on making a selection. read more
