The employees are so kind and helpful. I love their displays and the variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The only thing that frustrates me, is their coupons. They say if you buy 3 bottles of wine you get a 15 percent coupon. But, when you get to the register they won't validate the coupon because they are not winery direct wines. I think that is misleading. But, given their huge variety of wines and beers,the great customer service, and the great prices... I know I will be back.

Last time, I learned "Total Wine and More" doesn't have the "and More" in Virginia. This time I learned this place carries only liquor. This seems to be the place to come locally if you like your bourbon, as shelves on one entire wall, and about half of the back wall, were devoted to it. The selection was decent, though a large portion of it was numerous varieties of the most popular brands. Prices were typically a buck or two above competitive for the whiskey/bourbon/scotch selections in general. I liked their rum selection too. Everything is well laid out here, and it's bright and clean, a good place to include in your liquor shopping itinerary.

Although I had almost forgotten about it, I was happy that Wine Cabinet whose first impressions on the phone, of the wine tasting lady, were very good, gave me another good one by showing a nice gesture. It is after all, "Better late than never."

They've got a few TVs around showing sports for those interested. I came with my mom and we just got a few apps to pick at while I tried some 5oz pours. The food was solid, if pricey. The "squash chips" were more like "squash cutlets" in that they were pretty thick. They tasted excellent, though and the panko was nicely fried. The charcuterie is hard to mess up but for the price I don't think I'd do it again. We saw some folks getting fantastic looking sandwiches so I may have to give one of those a try next time I'm around and don't have other plans.

We experienced older lady was so rude. ID CHECK acceptable 24 hour ban- I DID NOT understand So, my boyfriend and I were at the Fairfax Total Wine location, trying to buy a bottle of wine. He was the one paying, and he showed his ID. The cashier asked mine, but mine was in the car. The cashier said they need to check everyone's ID. We completely understood.When a group of people purchase, they have to present their ID. It is the store policy that applies to all states. Truly UNDERSTANDABLE. We said we'll go grab my ID from the car, and we'll be back in 2 minutes." The store was not even busy at the time; there were only two of us, and maybe there were two more people, including her. But then the lady at the counter said something that totally threw me off - she goes, "No, NOW I CAN'T SELL IT to you for 24 HOURS." She explained it was some POLICY that if anyone doesn't have their ID, EVEN IF WE GO AND GET IT, they won't sell us alcohol for a whole day. I said okay, I'll wait outside so he can get in and collect them again." But she refused to sell it to my partner and we felt like we'd been blacklisted from the store for the entire day. We asked to see the policy but no response. WHY make us wait 24 hours for something that could've been fixed in five minutes? The entire thing felt completely unnecessary. I was just standing there, totally shocked. I've never heard of any rule like that in any store! It's not like we were trying to SNEAK AROUND WITHOUT SHOWING ID. I know there are laws around alcohol sales, and stores have to be strict, but is this 24-hour thing really a Total Wine policy? Or was she just making it up because she didn't want to deal with us? I've never run into something like this before. PS: We did not argue with the group ID check policy, but 24 hour store ban.
