FYI, the undercarriage wash starts right away, so be sure to drive in slower to get a better clean. Rest of my wash went well. After the wash, I took a look at the car and it seems the top of the back window area was still a little dirty from suds. I did also attach a photo from the roof of the car, which looks absolutely pristine and ultra reflective. I went in with a pretty dirty car that had dust all over, old water stains on the roof, and some streaks of mud/dirt on the doors. Save for that spot on the top of the back window, everything else looks very clean and I'm pretty satisfied, especially knowing the bottom of my car got a decent cleaning from the salt during the winter months. I'll be back again.

The self wash is the better value, but I found that some of the self-service bays leave faint scratches on my car so I usually stick with the no touch. So when I go to see my Doc, I also make time for my car to get a good cleaning. Allston has never disappointed. The first time I went, I was a little embarrassed; my cars interior was full of leaves and dirt from the winter/spring. This place has a full crew working on the car. The basic full service includes vacuuming and dusting inside, then wash outside, for $37.50! And they are doing a consistently good job, in less than 20 min! The manager was kind and gave me an estimate of just over $500- for the parts including a painted part. They required a deposit for the parts- $200, which is fair. The parts came quickly and i was able to get everything taken care of in just a few days. They offered after hours pick up, which was nice for my busy work schedule. Mac's is conveniently located not too far from Davis square too, so it's easy to get to/from wherever you need to go. They didn't try and up-sell me either, which was nice. It was probably because I have racks and a mounted soft folded canopy + tent on my truck bed. But here's the thing: I have a Ford Maverick that stands at a WHOPPING 68 inches tall, with the mounted canopy not extending past the exterior mirror and the top of the tent well below 6' total height. I was in line for the touchless bay and another truck that was towering over mine and significantly wider was directly in front of me. I've used other touchless car washes elsewhere without obliterating machinery or tearing a rift in the fabric of space time or whatever your policies try to protect against. But I'm not here to argue with you or make anything "right." You've got the right to make whatever policies you want and that's that. The review isn't changing and I won't be returning.
