Love me some Costco and this location won me over !!!…read more
Location & Ambiance:
* One of the calmer San Diego Costcos with a big, open layout and usually plenty of parking (Fridays get a little tricky though.)
* Outdoor food court, gas station, car wash, and a Home Depot next door make it an easy all in one stop.
Customer Service:
* Staff is consistently friendly and quick to help, even during peak hours. Most times they always know where everything is, which is helpful because I rarely do. I do wish aisles were better labeled. If you're a noobs you may take forever to locate a specific item.
The Costco Experience:
* Honestly, I avoided Costco for years because I have zero self control and this location has confirmed that. Also, don't ever grocery shop hungry or HANGRY! You'll end up grabbing everything. LOL
* I walked in for the basics and walked out with frozen veggies/fruits, cases of sparkling water, energy drinks, and endless snacks I absolutely did not need. Goodbye paycheck!
* Prices remain one of Costco's strongest strengths. Everything's cheaper here than anywhere else, especially in bulk. So I feel less guilty..or at least that's what I tell myself. LOL
* This store feels less frantic than others in San Diego, which is saying something. It's big and it makes overspending almost enjoyable. OMG...I spy Korean skincare..DANGEROUS!!
My Go To Staples: (The Healthy Stuff!)
*Frozen veggies: cauliflower, mixed veg, corn, broccoli, edamame
*Frozen fruits: berries, mangoes, acai
*Fresh produce: greens, tomatoes, mushrooms, melons
*Toilet paper always!!!
*Tide detergent
*Dried fruits, nuts, seeds, energy bars
*Body wash
*Toothpaste, Oral B refills, floss
*Energy drinks: Alani, Celsius - honestly best bang for your buck!
*Sparkling water: Vitamin Water, ICE
Verdict: 4 Stars
Well run, friendly, and reliably stocked. Highly recommend! Just bring a list and the willpower to not impulse shop!!! :))
