    Drove across town to find out they closed early. If business hours are reduced the should be posted as so. Big deal in my book.

I returned to the store and, based on a recommendation from a store associate, exchanged it for a different charger. Unfortunately, the replacement charger was also defective. When I returned to the store to request a refund, I was informed that I was beyond the 14-day return window and could only receive a store gift card. Given that this was already the second defective product, I found this policy unreasonable but agreed to proceed reluctantly. However, I was then told that I would only receive approximately half of the original purchase amount. I paid nearly $20 and was refunded only $9. This outcome is unacceptable. Retaining half the value of a product, especially when both the original and replacement items were defective, raises serious concerns about fairness and consumer protection. I have never encountered a return policy that penalizes customers in this manner when proof of purchase is clearly provided. Additionally, I was disappointed by the level of customer service I received from the manager on duty. Her demeanor was dismissive and lacked the professionalism and care expected in a customer-facing role, particularly on a day such as Mother's Day when many customers are already managing busy schedules. I strongly urge corporate leadership to review and revise this policy, as it undermines customer trust and reflects poorly on the company's commitment to quality and service. I also recommend additional training for management staff to ensure that customer concerns are handled with the appropriate level of respect and professionalism. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and addressed accordingly.

I…read morewent to the front because there was no line at the time and I have been stuck in long ones before. The person working the register got my order id and then hands me a receipt. He was not trained to confirm the details about the amount of my return. Unfortunately I was only given back the value of 60 % the cost of the item online and 50% of the cost in store. The month before this I had placed an online order that never arrived so part of my purchase was using a credit, but not the kind of credit that requires a minimum purchase. So I asked if I could exchange the item instead and he called a manager who was not interested in even listening and she called some 800 number and handed the phone to me. If the employee had confirmed the amount of the return I would have been able to do an exchange, but his failure to do that cost me money. And the manager was unwilling to cancel the return so I left without my pencil sharpener and lost the credit that they gave me for failing to deliver my order. This is not a lot of money, but i expent cashiers to be competent and I expect managers to train them. The store manager was awful, did not care about the customer and took no responsibility for running the store.

    It's super hard to find an office supply anymore! This location is close so I stopped by…read more I needed acrylic stands for signs, they had 4 boxes so I grabbed them. I got home and 1 box was used all scratched up and instead of 4 stands inside the box someone swapped out a different sign inside. This was frustrating because it meant another trip to the store. They really need to check when people return items and not restock it at full price $29.99. I understand it's not the fault of the people who work there but they really need to check returns. Because this is a waste of time & gas for anyone. My first trip out was great the workers were very helpful and it was a fast check out. The return trip took so long, only 1 cashier and 5 people in line and 4 of them were returns, and it took a lot longer not sure why ‍. The cashier didn't really care why I brought it back but did mark it with a sticker that read damaged sold as is (or something to that effect). So they were clearly putting it back on the shelf. The store isn't well stocked or maybe just sold out (I'm not sure). It was clean and orderly not didn't really have enough stock on what I needed.

They require that you pay upfront for all services prior , in which I did . No one notified me of any issues , leaving me completely unprepared for an important event this Saturday. This situation has caused me considerable inconvenience, wasted valuable time, and created unnecessary stress. I rearranged my schedule, invested hours in preparing the artwork, and relied on your company to complete the project. As I arrived for pick up , the representative states he was just left these projects to do and was not comfortable in handling the job as he hasn't performed those service in awhile , so nothing was done. The manager console the representative by saying this is not your fault... What.. not his fault, then who fault was it ?? Management canceled the job and I, was refunded the cost of the services. I felt helpless and disregarded.  Nothing can make up for the this grave dropping of the ball. I asked several times to make it right and was answered with , "The Job would not be completed today", to come back the next day there would be someone more knowledgeable to help me.  At first I was willing to do just that as I did not want to loose all the work I've done, but quickly remembered, I was to be up North for the most part of the day if not all of the day. The manager did apologize for the situation as he was refunding my money. However, it would have been nice to have been offered to make it right by still completing the job at hand . I will no longer be using your company for  such important and time sensitive projects in the future. Totally unacceptable.

    What can I say about Geeks Candy Shop.....This is the best place in San Diego to pick up…read moresurplus/used Computers, Tablets, and parts!!!!! The customer service is outstanding and they bend over backwards to take care of you. I went in looking to build a home NAS and we decided on an older Dell Power Edge tower machine. We loaded it up with additional ram, hard drives, and an ssd boot drive. They tested and fought with it to get make sure everything was detected in the bios (the whole process took about 1.5 hours) and I went home with my new to me machine. Unfortunately when I got home and tried installing Truenas Core it kept hanging up during the install process (I even tried using Unraid and still no luck). The next day I gave them a call and was told to bring it back in. I got there a little after 4pm (they close at 5pm) and we proceeded to look for another machine that would fit my needs. After trying out a few options we ended up putting together a custom setup out of the parts they had in stock. They stayed open 40 minutes late to make sure I was taken care of and even gave me a discount on the upgrades. If you are in need of an affordable PC, Tablet, or just need to grab some parts to build or upgrade your existing computer......Geeks Candy Shop is the best place in town to go!!!!!!!

I called the store and whoever answered the phone was VERY rude. He was like "THERES NO RAM ANYWHERE. TRY AMAZON" well guess what I did try Amazon and got my RAM within a day. It's so sad that small businesses are going out of business, but bad customer service is one of the reasons why. I'm an avid gamer and upgraded to my systems but this store has lost a future customer.
