My manicurist, Kanani, bought VIP nail salon about a year ago. I followed her there from where she used to work. She is very conscientious and does a great job and her prices are reasonable compared to other salons. I generally get gel manicures and regular pedicures. She's gentle and thorough and the salon is clean. I believe the former owners did not have a good reputation, so I want everyone to know Kanani is a fairly new owner. read more

I've been going to VIP nails in jackson since it's been under new management they are wonderful there. Danny does a GREAT gel manicure and Kanani the owner gives the BEST pedicure. I highly recommend going there. They take walk ins too. They provide waxing services as well You have nothing to loose you wont be disappointed read more

writing this review for my 85 year old mother. I would give zero stars if possible. she went in for a manicure and was talked into getting a gel set. She said the man was very rude and she felt pressured. She was charged $50.00 for a gel set. She's never had fake nails in her life and had no idea what she had agreed to. She thought she was getting a gel manicure. She's 85 and her hands are arthritic so the nails looked horrible and stupid. They saw her coming a mile away and took advantage of her. I went for an eyebrow wax and clearly stated "i don't want them any thinner, just cleaned up.". My eyebrows have never been so short and thing after leaving. Paid $15 for notched eyebrows and we all know how long they take to grow back. Very upset read more

Very poor service. If there were no stars I'd put that. They guy was condescending and gave me dirty looks. He charged my friend $36 for a full set, which is fair, but then charged me $28 for gel nails. I got them done yesterday; and today they are lifting. There are air bubbles and the tips of my nails aren't really covered. read more

I went to get my lashes done here. The lady seems very sweet but it was very uncleanly, and expensive for the horrible lashes she did. My eyes were burning the rest of the day after getting them done. None of my lashes fell out for 3 weeks (which is not normal)! It took me 3 days of hot steam, hot water, and baby oil to get these lashes off. I ended up ripping most of my real lashes off. I would recommend maybe nails here, but noooo no no for lashes. Idk what kind of glue she used or if she's just starting out with lashes, but she should definitely use a different technique or practice more with better-high end materials (especially for the price I paid - 125$) read more

I went to get my nails and eyebrows done and when I went into the rooms for my eyebrows done the mother proceeded to wax my face. I asked her what she was doing and she said don't worry it will make you beautiful. Asked her not to but she ignored my request and continued. By the time I got home I was all broken out and I looked like I had Hives went back and she said she could not do anything about it . They did not have any cream so she went to Rite-Aide and got some hydrocoartisone cream. It did not help. I was going on vacation in 2 days. went to the Doctor and they gave me a prescription. Went back to the salon and told them what happened and I wanted to get reimbursed for the dr's visit ( knew that was not happening). It lasted a week needless to say I will never to back there again. And I advise you not to either. Giving them one star is one star to many read more

Writing this review on behalf of my wife. "I asked for a French Manicure. The owner did my nails and there was a language barrier so it was impossible to convey what I wanted. I sat there and let them dry for 15 minutes. I did nothing the rest of the day so they would cure. The next day my nails were chipped and I had to remove the polish. It was a waste of time and $25. I would give this place zero stars but that was not an option. read more

I have been going to this salon for years and have never had a problem, The owner is very personable and does the best job on my nails I have even gotten. I get a full set with gel and they last a long time and the shape and length are always exact. If a nail breaks I just stop in and she repairs it, sometimes free of charge even though it was my fault I broke it. I highly recommend this salon.---- read more

Decided to try this salon after I moved some distance away from my previous salon. Was not impressed. Technician was gentle and careful with my nails but way, way too pushy, insisting on me getting a pedicure and changing what I get on my nails. She also argued with me as to what my previous nail tech did to my nails (she told me I had plain acrylic powder, not pink powder and kept showing me the difference throughout the entire appointment). I'm sorry but I'm not new to getting my nails done (been getting them done for 13 years) so I know the difference between pink powder and regular acrylic powder. They're pricey, too. A fill for just the pink powder was $30 and a clear gel top coat was an additional $5. Won't be returning there. read more

I needed to find a salon close to where I'm staying, I HAD A BUSINESS TRIP OUT OF STATE/CONFERENCE. I had my nails done on a Sunday, by Tuesday morning 5 of them were lifting! I called and told them I was unhappy but not bank until Saturday. I went on Saturday to get them fixed, they said I wasn't charged from my previous visit and charged me while I was there!!! Fixed my nails and a few days later one fell off completely and they looked horrible! I had to pay another salon to fix what I already paid for twice! read more
