Visited Hans Maxem for the first time last week after bouncing from nail salon to nail salon looking for a good, clean, safe mani/pedi. I finally found my new nail salon hands down. The place itself is clean, quiet and very welcoming. My nail tech's nail is Laura. What a beautiful job she did on both my nails and toes. Nora is amazing! She's been my stylist for almost 20 years. (I followed her from her previous salon.) She's cut my kids' hair since they had hair! She does our haircuts (men and women), waxes eyebrows, and has colored my daughter's hair (purple ombre at first and recently caramel highlights). She listens to what we want done and makes helpful suggestions and we've always been happy with the results. My daughter and I have also enjoyed some of the other services offered- manicures, pedicures, facials. The other staff members- specialists, receptionists, shampooists- are both very kind and professional. The salon is very clean and well-maintained, and the stylists are encouraged to continue their training. We drive past a number of salons to go to Hans Maxem's and we're glad we do! read more

Staff was great! They got both myself and my daughter in the same day for an appt and they did a great job on both of us.

I've since moved on now that my stylist switched salons, but I went here for YEARS and never had a problem. Everyone is really laid back and friendly. The place is clean, and it's not as pricy as a lot of other places in town. If you are looking for a salon in Jackson, this is the place! read more

I needed a nail apt and I am out of state visiting. I got an apt right away as a walk in. Anmaire did my nails last minute as a walk in apt. The staff was very friendly and the saloon very clean. I used to go here all the time - I don't anymore because a friend now does my hair and I moved to north Jersey. However, I never had a major problem here. I always went to Barbara. She's great and very accommodating (and let's say that I'm not the easiest customer when it comes to my hair!). I haven't had too many other things done here besides cut and color, but I would think that their other services (nails, waxing, etc.) are high quality as well. read more

I had a great experience here! I had been traveling to another town for almost 2 years to my go-to stylist, it got to be a real hassle and made it so I didn't keep up on my hair. After reading some in town online suggestions, I made an app for highlights cut and blow out. I am so happy I did! Donna is incredibly talented. I have been coming to Hans Maxem for several years. They are all very accommodating with their schedules. I can't say enough nice things about this salon. Came in with a hot mess of burn off hair from at-home bleaching and dying (stupid alert!) and left looking and feeling great. Deep conditioning hair treatment, haircut and blow out all by Susan. All at a reasonable price. She made sure I was comfortable with the length we cut off and did not pressure me into doing anything I did not want. Will def. come back! Candace has been doing my hair now for about 10 years and she never seizes to amaze me with her talent. She's a great hair dresser and actually listens to what the client wants and will suggest when needed.
