I had my hair done by two other stylists. I'm really picky about my hair and I just felt as though they couldn't get it quite right. Especially my bangs... they are "whispy"... not full! I always seem to have a difficult time conveying what that means. I've noticed that the owner of the salon has gotten much friendlier since my first review, and the salon continues to carry good products and make excellent lattes! I think this salon has a lot of potential, they just need to recruit new talent.

The girls at the desk were very friendly and nice with checking in. The inside looked clean, and organized. What threw me off was when the girl who started doing my hair had someone else belong I guess they have assistants now to help with hair ? Usually when I've gotten my hair down the last it was only one stylist doing my hair but here there's helpers so it's not just the hair stylist . Little confusing when it came time to tip because it's basically an extra person I didn't plan on tipping . The end trust of my hair was definitely how k wanted so no complaints ! They didn't a good job and the best part was being in and not with an hour even with highlights , cut and blowout .

She had a groupon showing that if she paid $80 she could have a full head of highlights, deep conditioning, and a blow dry. She had Jizel as her hair stylist. On consolation Jizel asked for reference photos. She wanted chunky highlights. She was told that platinum might be too light. My mother said purple highlights would work also but she definitely wanted it to be big chunks. She was given estimated pricing before anything started. Boy was this going to visit going to teach my mom a lesson about using new salons because of a groupon deal. The highlights were not lifted enough even though her hair was healthy but more importantly, they were not chucky at all. After the toning, her hair doesn't even look highlighted in photos. When she complained at the end, completely in tears, she was told that people who use the discounts get novice hair dressers. This information was only given afterwards. They never offered her to come back and fix it. (To be fair, she was so upset she would never go back). As if completely ignoring the request of the client wasn't enough, she was given a bill of $269.36 $70 Glaze color $120 Color between highlights $69 New Client Promotion Special When I called and spoke to the owner Melissa, she was not interested in seeing the photos, she said that you must contact the salon within one week of an issue. I explained that my mother already did contact them the day of in tears. She told me that now 17 days later, they can not do anything. Umm, you can refund her anytime. Since she is not interested in seeing the photos. Please enjoy reviewing and decide if you would want to risk not looking at all like your reference photos when complete.

I have tried a few salons in the area and I knew Lee at la femme was the one I could trust - and I was right! First of all he starts your appointment asking you pertinent questions about your thoughts about what you are looking for. If you're getting color he explains what works, what won't, and why, depending on what you want. I am a low maintenance person so he knew what would be best, always letting me be in control of the final decision. I showed him the photo of the cut I wanted ( which involved taking 6 inches off the length) and we had an extended conversation to make sure exactly what I hoped for. I have also heard him talking to a little boy about 7 years old in the same caring way before he cut his hair. Lee treats your hair and style as a work of art, he is so professional with products, so meticulous with the cut and color. He is a perfectionist. He doesn't rush. If you want a special experience that really matters, where you are heard - you are made to feel important here with him. I only say that because you can tell when a person takes their job seriously and enjoys what they do. The salon itself is clean, organized, bright, decorated nice. Make your appt well in advance. He is busy.
