Actually, it may have been longer than that, honestly. They have a lot of options and they have decent prices. You may find something used that you may be looking for, or they have new things as well. Predominantly, it's going to be used, so just keep that in mind unless you want all brand new. The staff is super friendly and very nice and super helpful, so I can't say anything bad about that at all. They have a main room and a back room, and these are filled with vinyls, so if you can't find what you want here, then you may want to check another place in the facility. If you want some CDs, you can probably find those as well. Overall, I've been coming back for years, so obviously it's a good experience, so I have no complaints.

I didn't come here to shop; I came here to sell my collection of music CDs that I had collected…read morebetween 1982 and 1999. I hadn't even played a CD since about 2010, so it was finally the time to rid myself of the few hundred CDs that had been in storage for all of these years. Wuxtry Records is a quirky looking music store that looked like it specialized in selling used CDs and vinyl records. I had called the store asking one of the employees about them buying my CD collection, but he couldn't commit to anything until he saw the condition of the CDs and their genres. He explained that he would not buy CDs if they already had enough inventory for that title, but would consider buying rock CDs. I had a lot of those! Parking was easy on the weekday that I went, and I didn't have any trouble finding a space in the free parking lot that is shared by all of the retail stores in the shopping center. I brought in about 200 CDs to the front counter and was told to come back in about an hour while they went through all of the CDs and determined which ones they were going to buy. During my wait, I just browsed in the store. There were lots of CD titles and groups that I have never heard of, and lots of familiar ones too, and they all looked in great condition. And there was a lot of quirkiness! In the end, there were about 40 CDs that I was not able to sell to Wuxtry Records. This was fair to me and was a good experience. I didn't receive anywhere near the money that I spent to get these CDs, but my goal was to get something out of the CDs that I knew I wasn't every going to play again.

This record store has so many things wrong with it and I'm sure the people that visit this store…read moreare novices when it comes to vinyl collecting. You can see the people that commented before me what type of people shop here. They have no sense of market value or pricing and it's wrong to take advantage of people just by providing "atmosphere". Just to put it in perspective, I have been collecting for 30 years and have a 7,000 piece collection that will put any Atlanta record store to shame. Now let's get into it.. I could go on and on, but first off there is no parking. It's downtown in the middle of the hood in that area with the police station. You more than likely have to settle for paying to park on the side of the road. I have visited this store about 3 times. Yes I gave it 3 chances. The first visit I parked right outside the store, no issue. The third visit I parked outside and asked the kid behind the counter if it were cool if I parked there and he said yeah. Well the kid lied, and I wound up getting a $100 ticket. I call the manager and tell him about it and the guy says it's not on his employee and I shouldn't have believed him and should have used my judgement. As a customer, wouldn't your judgment be to ask an employee that actually works there everyday if it was ok to park? So yeah the manager is a real cool guy. No parking isn't the issue. It's the employee lying about the parking just to get a customer, then the manager brushing it off when confronted about the employee lying. Ok, let's get into the actual inventory. They actually have very solid inventory as far as selection goes. The issue lies in the pricing. Some of these records are 3,4,5x market value. Basic records you would see at Wax N Facts for $6 , you will see here for $15. Actually $15 seems to be his median for basic records. I'm talking shit like Lionel Richie, Commodores, Isaac Hayes, basic stuff. A lot of the jazz is $20 and up. A basic David Newman on Atlantic, $35?? I've seen that record in the dollar bin numerous times. Speaking of that, they have no dollar or discount bin of any sort just a bunch of overpriced records, no parking, and a crappy atmosphere full of excuses. I actually found a couple gems in there that were surprisingly underpriced in an inventory full of overpriced shit. That's what leads me to believe he just slaps $20 on whatever. After my last visit though, I realize it just isn't worth it. 99.9% of it is overpriced and stuff I've seen before. His other store "Moods" isn't any better. But hey! I still put them over the Teddy Bear DJ guy in Ponce Markets Aye I almost forgot to mention. They got this bullshit payment system where you have to pay half of your total in cash app. So if your total is $200, you have to pay them $100 in cash, then you have to pay this random guy on cashapp $100. Why would you make every customer do that? Why not just have the customers pay normal and write down what you owe the guy on cashapp , then just cashapp him at the end of the day one time?
