The hours on here are accurate, so come check it out. The place smells old so wear a mask if you don't like that. I love the musky old vintage smell when I'm in these kinds of stores, it really elevates the experience in all senses. They have hand sanitizer around as well. The staff was super cool and friendly. They let me take pictures and just hang around. It's definitely a museum feel. They also have new vinyl records too. Posters as well. Their prices seem fair and reasonable. If you're the one that loves to have physical copies of the music and dvds and such, definitely a place to come.

When we all come in he greets us and ALWAYS lets us go behind his counter to look at his great selection of SACDs as well. I think he has had so many lookyloos and folks wanting top dollar for junk he has grown tired of the games and I cannot blame him along with the constant problem of stealing these days. You can see the people that commented before me what type of people shop here. They have no sense of market value or pricing and it's wrong to take advantage of people just by providing "atmosphere". Just to put it in perspective, I have been collecting for 30 years and have a 7,000 piece collection that will put any Atlanta record store to shame. Now let's get into it.. I could go on and on, but first off there is no parking. It's downtown in the middle of the hood in that area with the police station. You more than likely have to settle for paying to park on the side of the road. I have visited this store about 3 times. Yes I gave it 3 chances. The first visit I parked right outside the store, no issue. The third visit I parked outside and asked the kid behind the counter if it were cool if I parked there and he said yeah. Well the kid lied, and I wound up getting a $100 ticket. I call the manager and tell him about it and the guy says it's not on his employee and I shouldn't have believed him and should have used my judgement. As a customer, wouldn't your judgment be to ask an employee that actually works there everyday if it was ok to park? So yeah the manager is a real cool guy. No parking isn't the issue. It's the employee lying about the parking just to get a customer, then the manager brushing it off when confronted about the employee lying. Ok, let's get into the actual inventory. They actually have very solid inventory as far as selection goes. The issue lies in the pricing. Some of these records are 3,4,5x market value. Basic records you would see at Wax N Facts for $6 , you will see here for $15. Actually $15 seems to be his median for basic records. I'm talking shit like Lionel Richie, Commodores, Isaac Hayes, basic stuff. A lot of the jazz is $20 and up. A basic David Newman on Atlantic, $35?? I've seen that record in the dollar bin numerous times. Speaking of that, they have no dollar or discount bin of any sort just a bunch of overpriced records, no parking, and a crappy atmosphere full of excuses. I actually found a couple gems in there that were surprisingly underpriced in an inventory full of overpriced shit. That's what leads me to believe he just slaps $20 on whatever. After my last visit though, I realize it just isn't worth it. 99.9% of it is overpriced and stuff I've seen before. His other store "Moods" isn't any better. But hey! I still put them over the Teddy Bear DJ guy in Ponce Markets Aye I almost forgot to mention. They got this bullshit payment system where you have to pay half of your total in cash app. So if your total is $200, you have to pay them $100 in cash, then you have to pay this random guy on cashapp $100. Why would you make every customer do that? Why not just have the customers pay normal and write down what you owe the guy on cashapp , then just cashapp him at the end of the day one time?
