This little gem is located in Bernal Heights. This neighborhood is full of some many wonderful restaurants and small cozy bars. I have only been here for wine and cheese and have dined in. I really want to come back because the staff has been nothing but wonderful and the food last time had the most wonderful aroma. We had two full bottles, one was a a Rosé and one was a distilled one. Any cheese charcuterie board you do is amazing. They always add extra bread and that is a plus just ask for more. Can't wait to be back, thank you again for making this experience awesome for myself and my friends.

Love to have a few drinks here. Beautiful parklet on a great street. Awesome selection of wines. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Take a moment, take a seat and savor the moment with a nice glass of vino

My favorite little wine bar to live by - great selection of wines, as well as delicious assortment of meats and cheeses. If you're more in the mood for a real meal, they also have great dishes and tapas to share. The pastas are particularly good. I love the little outdoor area (for daytime and warm evenings) as well as the more romantic inside ambiance. Also enjoy the Sunday deals. Looking forward to covid-19 ending so we can get back to this place!

Humbleness is a virtue. Isn't it? Well...it should be, anyway. And, there's elegance in simplicity. That one is fact. VinoRosso is both humble & simple. Walking in, I was surprised. Surprised at how small it is. Surprised at how bare bones it is. It is warm & positive. It's also charming, from the white lights strewn on the trees out front, to the candles on the tables. I just wasn't aware of how positively rustic it is. I took this theme to the top by sitting at the tiny, private, table in the back "room." I'm using quotes w "room" because it isn't actually a room. It's actually a tiny space w a closet, that you have to walk through to get to an equally tiny hall that leads to the restroom. That description perhaps doesn't convey the best picture; I should have taken one. Let me just say, that if my life suddenly turned into a scene from The Godfather, or Goodfellas, or Donnie Brasco, in that I had to have a "meeting" over lunch or dinner, I would want to have that meeting here at this table. There's only room for 2. The whole thing feels so clandestine. The clean canvas aspect of the space is the perfect juxtaposition for the food that is served here. Any excitement you're not getting from the aesthetic is made up for in spades by the food that they prepare. The lasagna was outstanding. I mean...outstandingly outstanding. The sauce tasted like nonna's actually here stirring it herself, the pasta had just the right bite. And the pizzetta (meant for one) was basically perfect, they (husband & wife team, who were also the servers) nailed the crust. Everything was so authentic, & everything is made in house. Pastas, sauces, pizza dough, even the olive oil...everything. Panna Cotta is my favorite Italian dessert & a bar of measure (among others) that I use to decipher whether or not an Italian restaurant knows what it's doing. VinnoRosso, as tiny & almost painfully unassuming as it is, knows what it's doing. Wine tastings, & you can come in just to buy wine to take home. Great spot. 4 & 1/2 stars.

We walked into a bright dining room with high ceilings. Bottles of wine were proudly displayed on the walls. We were greeted promptly and seated in the mostly empty room. We redeemed the free Prosecco check-in offer--it is my favorite to date at a $8 value and a delicious way to start to our evening. The portions are tapas sized--perfect for a selection shared family style. We ordered prosciutto wrapped artichoke hearts with goat cheese--our favorite item on the menu. There was something synergistic about the smoky, salty, creamy tanginess that delighted the palette and enhanced the wine we quaffed. Next up were the Lasagne and Eggplant Parmagiana. The Lasagna noodles were al dente--awesome, but there was no ricotta cheese within, and the sauce was on the thin side. Eggplant parmagiana had an ooey gooey cheese cap. Good, but not our favorite. We were still a bit hungry, so we added an order of crab cakes. Full of real crab and served crispy crumbed outside and fluffy moist inside, they were delicious if a bit pricey. In all, a very chillax place to hang out and nosh.

I first went to Talas maybe a year ago with my friend, had a great time, my friend has a Polish grandmother, my father was from Poland, and Tala also has Polish family so I think we chatted about that, Tala could not have been nicer nor more welcoming. It is a very comfortable place with lots of easy chairs around small tables, and then some tables and regular chairs, and a nice long bar. The decorations are eclectic and attractive. So the next time I was in the neighborhood, my friend wasnt around, but I stopped at the Goodwill and was kind of magnetically drawn to Tala Wine, even though I never go to restaurants or bars by myself! I brought in my service dog (black lab) who is super friendly and can work a room like you wouldnt believe, and although I always keep her quiet and at my side until indications otherwise, several other customers made it clear they wanted to meet her, so that was nice. I have since stopped in twice more by myself. How weird that I live a 30-40 minute drive away in traffic and I am kinda starting to think of this place as my neighborhood hangout! I like the artichoke dip, which is baked to order, it is creamy and spicy and tart. TBH I would prefer it with small chewy baguette slices (preferably sour dough) than crackers but it is still very yummy. I usually get the flight of four 2 oz glasses for $20. Most of their wines seem to be in the $16 to $20 per glass range, so the flight is actually a bargain. I have enjoyed every variety I have tasted. I will definitely be back sooner rather than later! Most likely on a Tuesday :-)

Located in the legendary Mission District of San Francisco, this wine bar is a great spot to catch up with friends and enjoy small bites and yummy crafted cocktails. Their decor is very chic and I especially loved all of the hardware, glasses, tables, and benches. This place was styled by a great design artist. Even though the place was pretty packed and can be kind of noisy, I still felt very calm amongst all the healthy plants and loved the sophisticated 70s inspired glassware. Another great feature of this place is that you can buy most of the plants because they have some for sale so after a couple of cocktails, I was ready to redecorate my whole house with all the plants. I ordered a yummy Rose blend that was super crisp. Also enjoyed the Truffle Fungi! A delicious Shiitake and oyster mushrooms with parmesan and arugula on toasted bread. Their Spanish inspired potatoes were delicious with their dipping sauce. They have lots of gatherings there and DJ sets on the weekends. Lastly, a photographer would die to take pictures here. There is no bad shot as the design artist made sure every section of this cute wine bar was picture perfect. Loved all my photos and videos. I look forward to returning to this exquisite wine bar!

The high top tables were a bit wobbly, so we spilled half a drink on there. The drinks are strong. I recommend going upstairs to sit instead if you want to hear your friends better. The tables are bigger up there too. The rooftop was closed off but I'd like to check it out sometime.

This wine bar is hidden from plain view and tucked away in the Excelsior/Outer Mission. Some friends and I discovered this little gem while looking for a place to have a nightcap. Sippin' Wine Bar is located on the second floor of the Bottoms Up Bar, but the vibe is totally different. Not sure if the two bars are actually affiliated, but they are like night and day. The stairs leading up to the bar are lit up and the interior of the bar is just absolutely gorgeous! It's spacious and low lit with an extremely sexy ambience. The decor is just out of this world! They have the cutest tables and sofas. The lamps and artwork are very unique but visually appealing, and the tables are set with candles that create a very sensual vibe. There's a small but adorable little patio where you can relax and get some air. The interior designer deserves a pat on the back AND a few glasses of wine (wink wink). Speaking of wine, they have tons and tons of it! Their selection is extensive and they make it really obvious with all of their lovely wine bottles that are on display. I really enjoyed their Angeline Pinot Noir as well as the Kungfu Girl Riesling. They serve food here as well. We had just come from dinner, but a few of us who shall remain nameless (cough cough) were still hangry and ordered garlic noodles, garlic fries, and tater tots. Yep, somebody's breath was stankin' but it wasn't mine! Although I didn't try any of the food, It smelled wonderful. There was no food left behind, so I'm assuming that it was delicious! The owner Shirley was fantastic! She happily hosted our group and let us sample several different wines from her collection. She mingled with us as well and talked about the business. The bar is still relatively new and opened a little over 2 years ago, so she is still trying to generate more business. I'm hoping that more people will frequent this place because I really enjoyed it and would love to see it stick around. So glad we stumbled upon this spot, and I'm looking forward to many more future visits.
