I ordered take out from Vinnie's this evening. I ordered a salad and 2 entrees. I did not know that all entrees came with small salads. They took advantage of my lack of menu knowledge when I am not familiar with their menu. Then when I explained to the manager who are speaking with over the phone what happened and that I would be reading review he hung up on me. I have to say this was a good spot for dinner. The menu is riddled with dishes from southern Italy. Tasty and filling. Music was nice and the help was friendly. The manager was visible and helped where he was needed without hesitation. 4 out of 5 it takes a few consistent visits of the same experience to earn a 5. Regardless we will be back! 6/4/18 another great dinner! The tour of Italy is great. Allot of food for the price. It is good to go to a place that is homie. I was excited when I heard they had a huge 30 inch pizza even though it cost $51.00 pretty steep for Pizza lol. Went to pick it up after calling it in 30 minutes prior and then waited an extra 15 minutes just to get told they forgot to make it. No apologies or incentive to wait. We found the biggest piece of pizza in the world! Fun for kids! They have two areas of the restaurant. One side is devoted to take out for slices of pizza and the other side is a formal restaurant. We tried this East Baltimore restaurant recommended by some friends and we were not disappointed. Driving up to this place on Holabird Avenue, you wouldn't expect much of a presentation due to its out-of-the-way urban- industrial location. There is off street parking with a perimeter screen wall, but the spaces are very tight,so leave your large SUV, Range Rover or Denali at home. When we entered the restaurant, we were shocked. The décor is fairly modest but tastefully done and it is a very warm, comfortable and quaint Mediterranean atmosphere. It was very crowded and a little noisy, but after dining here, the crowd didn't surprise us. They have a great wine section with very reasonable (lower than average) prices and the menu is very well put together with a nice selection of Italian cuisine i.e. carne, seafood, veal and pasta dishes. It is Family owned out of New York so these people know the culinary brand well. They also had a nice selection of mixed drinks and a limited but good beer selection. We ordered some appetizers and along with the pasta and seafood main courses. Everything was excellent from A to Z . Not to mention the size in which we had some leftovers. The only thing lacking here was the service which was a bit slow, but we caught them on a very busy Friday night near the Holidays. The Owner actually came up to our table and accommodated us by uncorking and serving our wine. The Dining Room and small charming little bar with a great piano player probably holds about 40- 50 patrons max. We are definitely going back here again soon. Vinny's restaurant has a plethora of choices. The baked wings are delicious and tender and reasonably priced. They have cheesesteaks that are satisfying enough. The pizza is made in a real oven and has a authentic taste. My only regret, is that I wish they didn't charge by the peice for chicken pizza topping. read more

To be honest, just ok. They lack imagination on most of their entrees, and the service always seems to be an issue. I would recommend stopping here for lunch, but definitely avoid for date nights or special occasions. There are better Italian options, that's for darn sure. There's something about this place when you enter that gives you those nostalgic pizza restaurant smells and vibes that an older pizzeria restaurant does. The customer service made us feel welcomed as we sat down in their dining area. We got the Mussels(pretty good), and their cheese tortellini with a rose cream sauce(amazing). I've also gotten carry out from this place in the past before as well, and haven't had a bad thing on the menu, their pizza might be the best in Baltimore. All around good stuff!!! read more

Vinny's pizza is to die for!! Truly the best pizza in Baltimore. I'd have to compare it to authentic New York thin crust people, which is hard to come by in this area. The crust is cooked perfectly, sauce definitely tastes homemade, and the cheese always tastes fresh. Do yourself a favor and also order some of the "pizza bread" (cheeseless, lightly sauced, Sicilian-style dough with seasoning - sooooo good!!) Went here Wednesday night with a friend of mine for the first time. Once seated our server Tony, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, told us the specials for the evening and from there on we ordered appetizers. We had the burratta with bruschetta as well as some oysters, both were great choices. For entrees I had the gnocchi, while my friend had the braised brisket ravioli, I tried some of hers, very delicious. The gnocchi I had here was probably the best I've ever tried. Our server brought us cannolis at the end of the meal, super delicious. All around great food, great service and a wonderful place to dine at, will definitely be back. read more

We. Love. This. Place. The service is great; very attentive, knowledgeable about the food, and checks on you often. Food is amazing. Their marinara sauce is perfect, portions are spot on, and the kitchen doesn't leave you hanging waiting for food. We once had to wait for our main courses to come out for a while longer than normal, but 1) our soup/salad/apps came out quick so we were perfectly held over, and 2) there was a large party whose food had to come out all at once ahead of ours. So I get it. Great array of desserts, good coffee and wine selection. I'd say my only two "complaints" as as follows: the main room can get LOUD when it's full (as would most restaurants lol) and I think it's mostly because of the high ceilings. If you want quiet, don't go on a weekend evening. Secondly..... and I'm prob the only person that thinks this is odd.... the decor for the most part is fine, except they have packaged goods displayed around the restaurant. It just looks funny! I know, I know.... dumb complaints, especially when I love this place and want to become regulars, which we most certainly will!! read more

I was not inclined to give this place a 5, but, darn it, it deserves one. My guy and I tried to come up with something we didn't like and couldn't do it. Vinnies is better than any place in Little Italy. We were charmed by the old world ambiance and the friendliness of the staff. They also had a live piano player who knew how to entertain without intruding. I had the seafood special and my guy had veal Marsala. Both dishes were amazing and the serving sizes were huge; well worth the higher than average prices. If I had to come up with one improvement, I would say that the Marinera sauce needs a little salt to bring it to full flavor. Vinnies is definitely worth going out of your way to get there. We now have a new favorite Italian Restaurant. read more

This place is the best! I eat here often ( at least 2 or 3 times a month). family owned and operated, very nice people. If you want to relax, go on the carry out side. There are about 6 booths and it's very chill... You can also get a little more formal, and go to the dinning room side for a nice sit down dinner... The food at this place is amazing. We had eggplant in rose sauce, salad, pizza and wine for two and the bill came out to less than $60. The waiter we had (Vinny) was also super sweet and attentive! However, the TV was blasting (the 2017 Inauguration was on) and a group of people at the bar were yelling and cheering VERY loudly. It got to the point where I felt uncomfortable and it was difficult to maintain a conversation at our table. I hope the next time we go the TVs will be turned down and other patrons won't be yelling and screaming as we eat. read more

We found this place on Yelp and want to make sure others find it too! We actually came for pizza, but got sucked in by the amazing dinner menu. This is what I wrote previously: "I don't think Vinnie's get's enough love since it's not in Little Italy. But I really just love it there. Staff is polite. They even squeezed us in one busy Saturday night,a party of 8, with little notice. But on top of that. The food is really good. I was excited to try out Vinnie's given the positive reviews here on Yelp. I'm not often in Dundalk, but a friend was nearby for work, so we decided to meet up here. I ordered the Gnocchi Sorrento, which was so salty as to be inedible. It was a shame too, because texture-wise, the gnocchi was perfect, but the heavy-handed salting ruined the dish. I managed only 4 or 5 bites. When a place charges $13-$17 a pasta dish, you expect better. While the portions were large, I'd have gladly accepted half as much food if only the food on my plate had been good. The service was polite, but generally disinterested. No one stopped by our table to check how our meal was, or to see if we needed anything. Every other person who came in there while we were dining ordered the pizza, which should have been a sign. A lot of sauce with the dish, which would have been fine if it was seasoned better. Service was decent. Felt a little forgotten by my server but tried to understand because a table of 15 was sat near me. Definitely would give this place another chance. I've only been once so far. I got the spaghetti and meatballs. Portion size wasn't great, meatballs were mushy. Didn't taste like homemade meatballs. The sauce was bland.
