Had a time sensitive alteration to a ballroom gown. She completed the alteration in a day, and did a wonderful job. Very pleased.

I dropped off a bridesmaid dress on Tuesday that needed a hem and to have the slit closed.

We made an appointment for 4 days later to have the dress pinned. Everything at the initial appointment went fine and I reiterated the tight timeline - she didn't express any concerns. A week later, I called to check in to see how everything was coming along and to ask when I could pick up the dress. Immediately, Lynn started screaming at me telling me she "doesn't have any f*cking sewing fairies," "I should have dropped my dress off sooner if that was my timeline," etc. Then, she hung up on me. I immediately called back and told her I'd be coming by to pick up my dress right away (without the alterations). Now, I am 3 days away from the wedding with a completely untailored dress. I was calm and polite in all interactions with Lynn but I was met with the most appalling, abusive behavior. I have never written a bad review in my life but I needed to write this to hopefully help someone avoid this abuse in the future. Please take my advice and stay away at all cost.

She had every opportunity to explain to me why instead she chose to give me an attitude and hang up on me. Then when I picked up my dress I kindly explain to her when someone asked me why the prices I charge are I told him in a kind manner. She proceeded to tell me that I was the one with the attitude and she doesn't have to explain herself. I have a wedding party of seven that I would've gladly taken to her and now I refuse to ever do business here again and I will make sure that everyone I know Does not come here either only to be treated horribly.

This last time left an unpleasant impression on me, so I'm looking for other places in the future. My husband had a rented suit from a friend's wedding, where he was the best man. We went in, and he tried it on. To me, the colors seemed off. He was wearing a dark gray suit and a vest. My husband's vest was light gray. I didn't think anything of it because the groom, when my husband asked, said it seemed correct. Fast forward to the wedding day, and my husband's vest was the wrong color. Thankfully, another groomsman had a spare vest, and he gave it to him. When returning the suit, I walked in and told them what happened and how the vest color was wrong. The guy I initially dealt with was apologetic, and I made sure to reassure him that accidents happen. A second man walked over, and that's when things turned. This second man working said, "Let me see the ticket," and went to look at the ticket. He said, "I've worked here for 20 years, and I've never seen this color." I was like, "Okay... yeah, I don't know what happened. All I know is you can see the vest and suit don't match." After that, he looked at me and went, "I don't even think we carry this color." That's when I stopped being nice because it seemed he was insinuating something. Past that point, I stopped talking to that man because what was I going to say? He's the one who's worked there "for 20 years." I didn't know what to tell him or why the vest wasn't a match. That was a Men's Warehouse mess-up. Not ours. They all sit on their phones in the main area and barely look up at you when you walk in. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Fast forward to 8/23, I drive over an hour to get to the store just for them to tell me that the tailor is working on another customer's stuff and would get around to mine shortly and to come back in 30-60 minutes. If they can make the adjustments while you wait, then why did I have to drive down twice for a total of 4 hours in the car? And what's the point of scheduling a pickup time if you're not going to have the items ready and make the customer wait anyways?

Their prices seem to be very typical retail price (you can probably find a better deal online) but if you like the personal touch of demoing the machine and knowing you can get it serviced where you buy it, then this would be the place for you. They have sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines and they do cleaning and repair of machines as well. I asked about the prices and while they vary from machine to machine (and repairs required) the prices weren't astronomical. They're open on weekends for a few hours in the afternoon (Closed Sundays in the summer I believe) so be sure to call first and check their hours.

The store sells and services sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines. They stock embroidery designs, threads, stabilizers, needles, rolling totes, chairs and sewing cabinets. The walls are adorned with examples of finished projects done in classes or embroidery club. Take one of the classes that are offered to be truly impressed by the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff and owner. Chris offers a discount on purchases made at the time of class. I have gone to three embroidery club meetings and all the material was supplied, the design(s) and all precutting done for me. The cost averages out to $9.83 a class. (It varies depending on the supplies she has to buy.) There are at least two employees available during the whole session to help with questions/problems. We all have a fantastic time. I purchased a high-end sewing/embroidery machine from Chris and could not be more pleased with the price and her integrity. After sale support is phenomenal. Having purchased three other machines elsewhere I feel I can honestly say phenomenal and it's not hyperbole. Stop in; you won't be disappointed.
