She called me after she got one done and recognized a stain that I had planned on getting dry cleaned. She asked if I wanted her to bring it over to the dry cleaners free of charge. My husband and I decided to elope, by the time I got my dress, I only had less than 10 days till we were taking off to our destination. I contacted a few places and got turned away, told I was crazy and good luck. Then, I found Vinda and I guess you could say all those others' snarky "good luck" comments helped. Vinda was a blessing. Not only did she make my dress fit like a glove with a very quick turnaround but she went the extra mile for me and made the time to add in a slit I so badly wanted. Horrible experience just recently when my daughter brought in a bridesmaids dress to have it altered. Was quoted $75 to have the straps taken up, hem the dress and bring in the waist just slightly... got the dress back & decided after having a stressful morning that she'd try the dress on when she got home. Tried it on & found 8 pins in it where the waist was supposed to be taken in & hadn't been. When she called Vinda to ask what happened she acted like the paper she had about the alterations just stated straps & hem. Which is interesting since she had pins in it??? Wanted my daughter to bring it back & pay another $75 to have it done. My daughter said no thanks. Horrible horrible experience & i would never recommend this place. read more

I bought a coat online for a discount because of some defects. I brought the coat in to have the hood fixed. They did an amazing job. They also fixed the belt on the coat no extra charge. It was affordable, fast, & professional. Very very happy, if I need more repairs I know where I'm going thank you very much!!!! read more

Brought in a bridesmaid dress for a wedding in less than a month in California. I dropped it off on Tuesday and asked for it to be ready within 2 weeks. She said she could have it ready in a week. I was stoked when on Friday (3 days!) she called and said it was ready. Other tailors in Cali wouldn't even touch the dresses of the other bridesmaids with the same dress (lots of beaded embroidery and chiffon) so I'm even more thrilled! read more

I used to get great service from Vindas but, I brought her in well over $500 worth of yoga clothes, and dance-wear to have altered. All of the items were spandex based and stretchy. The original thread in all of the clothes are elastic. Now each item including a $90 top were altered using regular thread. So when I put them on they didn't stretch anymore and cut off circulation. The expensive yoga top ripped when I put it on and ripped when I took it off even more. She was too cheap to go out and buy elastic thread which is not ridiculous. Since I was paying $7 to $15 dollars per item, she should have used some common sense, and use a similar thread to the one the items were already done with.. I am EXTREMELY disappointed, I had to take the items and send them to another woman to have them repaired. she has ruined the $90 top.. Oh I forgot to mention the three lifeguarding swimsuits that I use for summer work were also sewn with regular thread. They don't stretch and these are my uniforms. I had to pay her over $80 to get my stuff back that was all sewn with cheap thread that doesn't stretch.. Cash only business.. read more

I was told about Vinda's by a friend and am so pleased with my experience there. I dropped off a bridesmaid dress on Tuesday that needed a hem and to have the slit closed. On Friday morning I received a text that it was ready. I even told her no rush as the wedding isn't for another month. The dress looks wonderful and totally natural. I didn't even want to give them 1 star! I brought in two bathing suits to have pockets sewn in since I had a mastectomy and wear a prosthetic......I brought her in my old suit so she could see how it should be done. Oh yes, she said, no problem. I told her I needed them for vacation...oh yes, she said, no problem. Well, they were ready on time, but she did such a poor job on them that my prosthetic wouldn't even fit in the pocket, but she didn't use stretch material as shown. When I called and then went in the store to complain, her response (in between interrupting me constantly) was "why are you so upset"? I had to walk out, I was that upset with her attitude, not thinking it was an issue that I couldn't even wear the suits......what a waste of my time and money. And, she didn't offer any refund - I think I'll be going after that in a legal way. Dee read more

I always go here for my suit tailoring. They are very nice and offer professional tailoring services in a timely fashion. Although it is cash only, when I was two dollars short they were so nice they said don't worry about it. And when I returned later that day with the two dollars I owed, they wouldn't accept it! I Have been to this location several times. Unprofessional and choosy. Has refused to do alterations for me on three separate occasions. Actually had me call another taylor one time to complain about the work that was done on the garment that I brought in. Gave me her phone to make the phone call. She will only do what she feels like doing. Find someone else. Undependable. read more
