I am absolutely appalled by how Lynn treated me. I called Lynn exactly 2 weeks before a wedding I…read moreneeded my bridesmaids dress tailored for and she told me she could accommodate the tight timeline. I was psyched! We made an appointment for 4 days later to have the dress pinned. Everything at the initial appointment went fine and I reiterated the tight timeline - she didn't express any concerns. A week later, I called to check in to see how everything was coming along and to ask when I could pick up the dress. Immediately, Lynn started screaming at me telling me she "doesn't have any f*cking sewing fairies," "I should have dropped my dress off sooner if that was my timeline," etc. Then, she hung up on me. I immediately called back and told her I'd be coming by to pick up my dress right away (without the alterations). Now, I am 3 days away from the wedding with a completely untailored dress. I was calm and polite in all interactions with Lynn but I was met with the most appalling, abusive behavior. I have never written a bad review in my life but I needed to write this to hopefully help someone avoid this abuse in the future. Please take my advice and stay away at all cost.

She had every opportunity to explain to me why instead she chose to give me an attitude and hang up on me. Then when I picked up my dress I kindly explain to her when someone asked me why the prices I charge are I told him in a kind manner. She proceeded to tell me that I was the one with the attitude and she doesn't have to explain herself. I have a wedding party of seven that I would've gladly taken to her and now I refuse to ever do business here again and I will make sure that everyone I know Does not come here either only to be treated horribly.

I took my son to Men's Warehouse to buy a nice jacket for a job interview. We were quickly greeted…read moreby Paul N. who showed us a couple of decent jackets, but we also asked about suits. We bought a Ralph Lauren suit that was deeply marked down (via a sale) that looked great on my son. We had MW do the pants alterations (about $25) and picked it up the next day. The only thing I would have preferred is the ability to browse the jackets and suits (for me or my son) comfortably, but I didn't get the sense I could do that easily as a lot of eyes were on me.

Very disappointing experience, especially as someone who had frequented this store in the past…read more I rented a tuxedo for a destination wedding outside the country. At pickup, I specifically explained that I would need additional time to return it because of the travel involved. The employee handling my pickup told me that would not be an issue. Unfortunately, the shirt I received had a stain that I didn't notice until the day of the wedding. When I returned the tuxedo, I was told I owed a $120 late fee despite what I had been told at pickup. The return experience was even more frustrating. The employee initially refused to provide me with a receipt confirming that I had returned the tuxedo and told me I would continue to be charged until the outstanding balance was paid. I simply wanted documentation confirming that the rental was no longer in my possession. The owner was called while I was standing there. Rather than speaking with me directly, hearing my side of the situation, or addressing what I had been told by their own employee, the owner chose to communicate through the employee and leave the $120 balance in place. In my opinion, refusing to even speak directly with a longtime customer while making that decision struck me as a cowardly way to handle the situation. I was eventually given a receipt confirming that I had returned the tuxedo, with the disputed $120 balance remaining. After being a repeat customer, receiving a stained rental, being told one thing at pickup and something different at return, and then having the situation handled this way has cost this location my future business. I'll use the Natick store instead.

They carry…read morename brand feet for the big sewing machine brands (Janome, Brothers, Singer etc) and they have easily over a dozen machines setup to browse around on. Their prices seem to be very typical retail price (you can probably find a better deal online) but if you like the personal touch of demoing the machine and knowing you can get it serviced where you buy it, then this would be the place for you. They have sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines and they do cleaning and repair of machines as well. I asked about the prices and while they vary from machine to machine (and repairs required) the prices weren't astronomical. They're open on weekends for a few hours in the afternoon (Closed Sundays in the summer I believe) so be sure to call first and check their hours.

The store sells and services sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines. They stock embroidery designs, threads, stabilizers, needles, rolling totes, chairs and sewing cabinets. The walls are adorned with examples of finished projects done in classes or embroidery club. Take one of the classes that are offered to be truly impressed by the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff and owner. Chris offers a discount on purchases made at the time of class. I have gone to three embroidery club meetings and all the material was supplied, the design(s) and all precutting done for me. The cost averages out to $9.83 a class. (It varies depending on the supplies she has to buy.) There are at least two employees available during the whole session to help with questions/problems. We all have a fantastic time. I purchased a high-end sewing/embroidery machine from Chris and could not be more pleased with the price and her integrity. After sale support is phenomenal. Having purchased three other machines elsewhere I feel I can honestly say phenomenal and it's not hyperbole. Stop in; you won't be disappointed.
