I'll give it 1 star just so I can review. 1st the hemmed my daughters bridal dress and put a eye hook on her dress when she picked up her dress and asked to be shown what cost $450 the employee (not the owner) looked at her and said white girl new dress $450. My daughter paid it because they had my dress, mother of the bride as well as mother of the groom and a few bridesmaid dress My dress I brought in was shown to, I believe the owner that they could not just cut my dress the had to set the beads with a stitch or the beading would start to fall off guess what no stitch no taking in like they where suppose to do. I could of shimmied out of my dress A bridesmaid was charged an extra $150 because she became pregnant and needed alteration. My advise check someone else out read more

Very timely with wedding dress and bridesmaid dress alterations and price was very reasonable.

First of all the business has changed it's hours. Posted on a large clear notice on the front door it states now Monday thru Friday 7am to 3pm. And that would be OK except for the past 3 weeks I have tried several times to drop off a pair of trousers for taking up and each time have found the front door to be locked (well within the opening times) !!! I've given up now and found another alterations company which, unfortunately I have to drive to. This Prime Thread is a short walk away from where I live and previously did many good alterations to clothes and drapes for me. Something appears to have gone wrong with this business which is a pity since they were so handy and close. read more

Jan, Vicki, and Nancy of Prime Thread saved my wedding!! A week before my wedding, I discovered that the alterations my bridal salon had made to my dress were incorrect and the dress didn't fit right. I was given Jan's name by our officiant and I called her the same day. These three wonderful women took a "just-okay" dress and made it perfect. In three days, they took my dress in (a lot), re-sewed the straps, and made everything fit just right. They even had me come in for a fitting mid-way through the process to make sure it was as good as it could be. I am so grateful for their help, and will absolutely be back! My daughter dropped her bridesmaid dress here and they did a really great job! At first they told us that the dress would be ready in a couple of months because it was prom season. I called them and asked them if they could do it sooner and they said no problem. I got a call two days later that the dress was done!!!!! read more

Jan (or at least I think that is her name, she has short gray hair and is very very nice) is a super star. I brought in 4 dresses (mostly satin + velvet, no beading or layers) to be tailored and hemmed AND dry cleaned, along with a few dresses/shirts to be cleaned as well (no alterations). She, understandably, double checked when I needed them by (Sept 25) and warned me that it may take a bit, which was totally fine, since I had come in in early August. I gave her a call a few days later, just to double check when the dry cleaning would be done, and she may have misinterpreted me and ended up doing all the tailoring AND cleaning within less than a week, for $250 bucks, which is a great deal! Really I can't speak enough about how quick and professional it all was. She really saved me, as I ended up getting a job offer and I have to move in a few days. Prime thread quoted me on the high end $200 dollars for my gown, WITHOUT ANY verbal consent they not only doubled but TRIPLED the price on me when the work was already completed, might I add my dress was ''detailed' and that was the reason yet they visually saw it was detailed and all LACE.. 2 appointments prior This is unlawful, they apologized but continue to hound for the money for hemming my gown.. I had my wedding dress altered through Prime Thread and they did an AMAZING job!! Jan took in the top of my dress and my hip area 3 separate times to make sure it fit perfectly. She bustled my train in 3 spots to make sure it stayed. She also sewed in my belt and it was perfectly placed. This is the absolute worst place to have any sewing/alterations done. The owner is rude, and did a terrible job on my wedding gown. She also overcharged me, and ruined my special day. Don't ever go there! read more
