We bought a Ralph Lauren suit that was deeply marked down (via a sale) that looked great on my son. We had MW do the pants alterations (about $25) and picked it up the next day. The only thing I would have preferred is the ability to browse the jackets and suits (for me or my son) comfortably, but I didn't get the sense I could do that easily as a lot of eyes were on me.

At pickup, I specifically explained that I would need additional time to return it because of the travel involved. The employee handling my pickup told me that would not be an issue. Unfortunately, the shirt I received had a stain that I didn't notice until the day of the wedding. When I returned the tuxedo, I was told I owed a $120 late fee despite what I had been told at pickup. The return experience was even more frustrating. The employee initially refused to provide me with a receipt confirming that I had returned the tuxedo and told me I would continue to be charged until the outstanding balance was paid. I simply wanted documentation confirming that the rental was no longer in my possession. The owner was called while I was standing there. Rather than speaking with me directly, hearing my side of the situation, or addressing what I had been told by their own employee, the owner chose to communicate through the employee and leave the $120 balance in place. In my opinion, refusing to even speak directly with a longtime customer while making that decision struck me as a cowardly way to handle the situation. I was eventually given a receipt confirming that I had returned the tuxedo, with the disputed $120 balance remaining. After being a repeat customer, receiving a stained rental, being told one thing at pickup and something different at return, and then having the situation handled this way has cost this location my future business. I'll use the Natick store instead.

I just had the worst experience with Elaine at chic sport tailor. She had my Wedding gown for 9…read moreMONTHS (since September) and my bridesmaid gowns for four months. When we got them back they all had serious issues. We paid $760 altogether for 7 dresses to get altered. When I showed her the mistakes she made with the pictures we had taken she was very rude and blamed the dresses and their "stretchy material". She kept reminding me of all the other weddings she needed to get done and gave me a hard time when I asked for anything extra, or to have a simple fitting. . When I took them the WEEK of my wedding to get altered again by someone else, the tailor said she had never seen a worse job, and I agreed. I could have done a better job myself. She also has birds flying around the back of her store where she tailors the dresses, and they are not in cages. You can often see them in her back door. I will never recommend her place to anyone. I would suggest saving yourself from the stress, especially for your wedding. I wish yelp would allow me to post the pictures of my "Wedding ready" dresses according to Elaine. They are unbelievably awful.

Frustrated that I had to wait so long for such crappy work, I looked up Joshua's. I should have taken it there from the start. I missed the guy's name, but it was complete when he said it would be and the quality of his work is easily better than the previous one. I may have finally found a tailor I can trust.
