If you haven't been shopping yet for your wedding dress DO NOT go here first. If you are not a very outspoken, very strong willed person who can advocate for yourself pray you get a different consultant than I did because they clearly don't train them or give them a guideline of what to do at the start of an appointment. All she did was ask my size and let us browse a very small rack of unorganized dresses. She pulled things from the rack that my family had pointed out with no regard to price point or size. Their strapless bras are so stretched out ask for like 3 sizes down or else you'll be falling out of it. When I tried to give her some description of what I liked about certain dresses and what I disliked about them she pulled dresses that were so far off the mark I saw one and immediately said no, but my mom said maybe so instead of listening to me, the bride, she put it on the rack of dresses. She also wasn't pulling out "no" dresses from the dressing room so I was increasingly frustrated as it got hotter and hotter in the dressing room until I nearly had a meltdown at which point another consultant stepped in and FINALLY asked what I was actually looking for. This got us much closer to the mark but still not close enough but I was ready to be done at that point. I made a follow up appointment to go try the one I did like back on but I knew the alterations I would want to do to it to make it what I wanted would get pricier than just finding what I was looking for so in a panic I made an appointment with David's Bridal the night before and thankfully found exactly what I wanted.

This was on a Thursday. We did find some of the options that were in his "display" room to be a bit tattered, however, trying again to support a small business, my son did find a suit he liked. This was on a Thursday. Fast forward only 4 days, my son and his group of friends going to prom have decided to wear matching suits. I called Tuesday morning to cancel, he was curt and told me he didn't have him in his records. I told him he had spelled my sons name wrong on receipt (we corrected him when we were there but he kept calling him the wrong name) and he would find it and cancel. The conversation changed when I asked about the $20 deposit - he explained it was for his time, all the work he put into ordering, his experience and personal care he took with my son (the large frame comment must have been a bonus...). How much work could he have done in 3 days on a suit not needed for 2 more months? None. I urge you to look elsewhere - the bad salesmen pressure, unfiltered comments and unneeded chatter on how great he is compared to his competitors is both strange and made what was supposed to be an enjoyable moment a memory to try and forget.

It was a really bad decision giving this company an opportunity to provide me a tux. Wrong!!! The tux was awful with sew machine marks every where and it was large in so many ways! My wife was there returning the tux and told him how weird it looked like and this guy was so full of himself that he told her that measurements were taken and I was happy about all my choices. I just had the worst experience with Elaine at chic sport tailor. She had my Wedding gown for 9…read moreMONTHS (since September) and my bridesmaid gowns for four months. When we got them back they all had serious issues. We paid $760 altogether for 7 dresses to get altered. When I showed her the mistakes she made with the pictures we had taken she was very rude and blamed the dresses and their "stretchy material". She kept reminding me of all the other weddings she needed to get done and gave me a hard time when I asked for anything extra, or to have a simple fitting. . When I took them the WEEK of my wedding to get altered again by someone else, the tailor said she had never seen a worse job, and I agreed. I could have done a better job myself. She also has birds flying around the back of her store where she tailors the dresses, and they are not in cages. You can often see them in her back door. I will never recommend her place to anyone. I would suggest saving yourself from the stress, especially for your wedding. I wish yelp would allow me to post the pictures of my "Wedding ready" dresses according to Elaine. They are unbelievably awful.

Without a Hitch made our wedding day such a beautiful success! Our wedding planning was plagued…read morewith constantly changing COVID regulations and I was full of anxiety about how our big day would go. Allison and Sarah could not have been more comforting and proactive. Over email, phone, and video call, they put my mind at ease and I felt so prepared the day of my wedding, no matter what restrictions were in place. Allison could not have done a better job the day of. She built a great rapport with my family, bridal party, and the venue's event manager to ensure the day ran smoothly. She knew the schedule and set up like the back of her hand. When the timing of certain day-of activities changed last minute, she made sure to let me know of the changes and the night went on without issue. If it were not for COVID and my anxieties around how it would affect our wedding I likely would not have looked for an outside coordinator- our venue did provide one that began to work closely with us (and Allison) in the month or so before the wedding and I truly believe she would have done a comparable job in the day-of execution. But it's the long term commitment to the planning process that makes Without a Hitch special. And while our venue did not host many weddings during COVID, Without a Hitch planned so many, and had the experience and suggestions that made the wedding feel as normal as it possibly could. For any of my friends planning weddings at a less conventional venue or just want more support, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Without a Hitch, and more specifically Allison!
