When you walk in, it looks like an explosion of clothes went off and there are articles of clothing everywhere - on the floors, slung across chairs, randomly on tables... everything piled on top of each other. If you don't have the ticket she gave you initially when you return to pick-up your item, it will take much longer for her to find your items and she seems confused (not something that happened from my personal experience, but I've seen it twice with the customers in front of me). If you don't mind the mess and not-so pristine cleanliness (which I just ultimately overlook), the prices are really reasonable and she does a great job.

Over the course of those months, she had time to work on many wedding dresses, which were dropped off long after my coats were. With the advent of wedding season, my coats were deprioritized. When I finally got my coat, it had been relined (which I did NOT want or ask for) and an antique button was LOST. I was sympathetic to the fact that she'd been in a bad accident, but there is not excuse for devaluing one client in favor of others. I would never recommend this place for anyone who has clothing that is valuable to them.

As soon as my son tried it on, the owner immediately dismissed the idea of tailoring it. Instead, he told my son--a teenager--that the blazer didn't look good on him, that it was too big, and that it didn't fit right. That was not only unnecessary, but also inappropriate. We didn't come in for his opinion on the appearance--we came for tailoring services. The owner refused to listen to what we actually wanted done and was very dismissive throughout the interaction. He claimed the alterations would be "too much" without even properly discussing options. He then started putting together what seemed like random, inflated prices on a calculator. At that point, we decided to leave because of how poorly the situation was handled. As we stepped outside, the owner followed us out and yelled, "You're mean and stupid." His behavior was aggressive and completely unprofessional. We felt uncomfortable and threatened. After I thought about it, I should have called the police. There is likely footage from nearby cameras as well. I also want to mention we were not rude, and we were very polite. **Careful everyone the owner will make a response and claim such things never happened at his establishment, like I just made up the whole thing for the hell of it, I would never write a bad review on someones establishment if it wasn't true!!**

After learning that the other town tailor charges at least $5 more per item, I was off to the shop. Celina is the proprietor and seems to make the alterations herself. The business is very relaxed. The ambiance feels like you've walked into someone's home and you're greeted and treated as such. The work is great. I've had pockets fixed for $5, pants shortened for $10, and shirts tailored for $20. All were in rough condition before, and now they're all fit to my specs. Clothes behind the counter spanned from kids dresses to adult jackets, so I think she is ready to handle anyone. I would recommend those that can handle a relaxed business atmosphere to use Celina for alterations. She also speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English - so chances are she can help you too.

EDIT: I went in to get two more pants hemmed, but they disappeared when i went to check two months…read morelater. I never got a call so i went in to see what was happening. turns out someone else picked them up, so now i have a con-point. CON: they are not a stickler for "you only get these clothes if you have the exact carbon copy receipt". this allows someone else to take your clothes without proof that it is theirs. the place is cash only, so there was no way for me to trace who paid for my pants. Nice lady working there, but the fact remains my two pairs of pants disappeared from their store. Until those pants show up, I'm not going back for their service.
