Edris was by far, the best tailor that I have ever been to! I am getting married in two weeks up in Vermont and this man proved to be unbelievably professional and artistic with the work that he did on my wedding dress. He was also very personable and fun to chat with. I went into the store with a beautiful wedding dress that was in need of some serious TLC. I purchased the dress at a discounted rate due to a few tears that were within the fabric. It turns out, I was a foot too short for the dress. Who knew! Other tailors previously turned me away and insulted me for not being the "ideal" model to wear the dress. Edris spent three hours with myself and my Mom, making my wedding dress alteration a fun and remarkable experience. The dress was originally a foot too long, had tears to repair, had broken clasps and a few other issues that needed tending to. Last minute, I made the decision to cut part of the back of the dress off so the fabric wouldn't fold over due to my lack of height. Edris stated that this was an insane idea, but performed the task per my request. This crazy moment TOTALLY PAID OFF and the dress is absolutely stunning. To say that I was impressed by this tailor's work is a complete understatement. If you are in the area, definitely stop by and talk to Edris about your next alterations. I was nothing but happy from this experience and he took a very stressful event and turned it into a rewarding experience and a beautiful dress that I now get to wear in two weeks at my wedding. Edris, thank you so much for all that you have done! And thank you so much for making me feel beautiful, rather than making me feel uncomfortable in my skin as other tailors had previously done. read more

I'm incredibly impressed by the service I received from Edris at Shrewsbury Tailors & Alterations. When the zipper on my large couch cushion broke, I called and he said he could fix it right away. Not only did he fix it with skill and professionalism, but he also did it quickly. He also was able to use the existing zipper which saved me over $80!! Super kind, considerate, and accommodating, and very willing to help. I tried to fix the zipper at home for over an hour, but he got the job done within 15 minutes. He even included complementary stitching and clips to secure the zipper, as well as free treatment with zipper wax!! I have sent several friends to him various clothing alterations and who also had the same experience! My new favorite tailor in town. read more
