Been to this place several times now when a friend commended it to us, since then we've gone about 3-5 times. Their pasta dishes are very good I cannot complain flavor always on point. Really great atmosphere, we loved the bookshelves filled with wine and the charming decor. Our waitress was so polite, and very quick to get our food orders in and processed. Here's what I loved: the friend ravioli - yum! The ranch was little runny for my taste, but the flavor was good! The jalapeño ranch isn't something you'd expect with dinner! The calamari was fine, nicely fried but nothing exceptional. I had the gnocchi pomodoro and my husband had the chicken parm. Both were good, but again nothing amazing that I couldn't get from any other Italian restaurant. My gnocchi was cooked very well, what lacked for me was sauce. However the service was great, they were very accommodating to my nine month old who gnawed on the bread all night long. read more

Our neighborhood favorite! Best Italian in the valley. Home-made pasta (get the gemelli), great pizza, amazing service, and they never give me shit for ordering stuff that's not even on the menu. What a nice patio dinner! This was our first time dining at this restaurant; we were using a gift card I'd gotten as a Christmas gift. We opted to sit on the patio and although it was a bit warm outside, the great food & service made it an overall pleasant experience. My husband thought his cheese ravioli was delicious and I think the caprese sandwich I had was the best ever (crave-worthy, in fact)! Our server, Josh, was friendly & attentive despite the fact he seemed to be taking care of lots of tables. We'll definitely be back! read more

Guess who's spaghettin' some tonight! ;D Me. I got spaghetti. I wish I read my homegirl Amber R.'s review because boy was I disappointed. Let's cut the chit-chat and get right into it: Fried Ravioli [$7.95 - Ravioli filled with a blend of spicy cheeses lightly breaded and deep fried, served with our famous jalapeño ranch]: These were okay. It's nothing crazy or will it win any awards but I liked how there's some heat to these deep-friend pillows of cheese. The jalapeño ranch was super watery though. Zuppo Posillipo [$12.95 - Mussels and clams in tomato garlic broth]: We asked them to use a white wine sauce instead of the tomato garlic broth. It was pretty tasty, a little on the saltier end of the spectrum, but not bad. They're not the best clams and mussels in a white wine sauce that I've had but I don't have any real complaints. They were very accommodating to my request so I'm grateful. Lasagna Casareccia [$14.95 - Lasagna layered with a blend of Italian cheeses and sliced Italian sausage. Baked and topped with bolognese sauce]: This came to the table steaming hot and it was pretty good. I enjoyed the oozing cheese and the pasta was cooked just right. The sauce was super watery and the meat was dry which was the only negative for this dish. Spaghetti Bolognese [$12.95 - In our delicious meat sauce. I added sausage for $3.50 more]: I am a sucker for a good bolognese so imagine my surprise when our waiter brought my dish to the table and I saw the sauce just sloshing around like a tidal wave. Why is the sauce so watery and soupy!? The flavor profile overall was pretty bland and even the meat harbored no flavor and was dry. The spaghetti was definitely getting on the more overcooked end of the spectrum as it was beginning to get soggy the longer it sat in front of me. Overall, it wasn't a completely disastrous meal but I don't think the price-point matches the quality. read more

It was raining when we left the gym so that must mean we should forget eating clean and consume our burned calories back. We were heading over to get pizza when the wife said we should try somewhere new. We just so happened to be passing by this place. We ordered the Fried Ravioli, Zuppo Posillipo, Lasagna Casareccia, and Saghetti Bolognese. The Fried Ravioli was decent. VT's makes their ravioli spicy. It has a small bite to it. As for th Zuppo, sub white wine, it was okay. I think I would prefer all clams than a mix of mussels and clams. My wife got the Spaghetti Bolognese and I found it to be overcooked. The spaghetti was soggy, the meat sauce was dry and watery, and the sausage addition was dry as well. My wife makes a much better Bolognese. As for my Lasagna Casareccia, it was okay. It had the same dry Bolognese sauce but now with meted cheese on top. It was a very humble serving but I still took it home so it can set up in the fridge instead of sliding all over my plate. The price was a bit high given what we were served. I'm not interested in coming back. Service was so-so and we saw our side salads sitting in the service window for quite some time while we had our appetizers too. 2.5 stars but I'll be rounding down due to the overall overcooked pasta in both our entrees. I took a group of 8 here for dinner on a Tuesday night. Food was ok. The calamari appetizer was the best of everything. I caution you to be careful of when you go as they only serve pizza a few days of the week and Tuesday isn't one of them (not noted on website or menu). My group also tried to order wine and while the wine list was extensive, they were out of everything that my group tried to order. We ended up just telling them to bring us something similar to what was requested. They were able to seat us fairly quickly and they timed the meal decently, so we were not rushed. The atmosphere was pleasant if not a little small. I can only imagine how loud it would be with live music. Bathrooms were dirty and I had to ask them to refill the soap and paper towels. I didn't see that they did while I was there. Seeing as I was there for business, I probably wouldn't take my group back there again. read more

Gosh darn it! Came here for a Saturday night date night. Haven't been here in about 13 years. We were dining for a total of 40 minutes. I have never felt so rushed in all of my life...started out with a manhattan (meh) the server that brought our water and complimentary bread... hovered like crazy. I finished what I was going to eat of my unremarkable salad and slid over the table for my husband to finish, before he could grab it, our water server grabbed it and took it away... Food was mediocre at best. We were asked by water server boy twice if we wanted boxes (first time after I had my first bite) I had lasagna.... If you like thick mozzarella slices in place of noodles... you will like it. Hubby got Stromboli... very large and tasty... the only saving grace. Adam was our server, and although efficient and helped the restaurant to move us out promptly... he was not personable at all. The large party next to us received prime, friendly and very personable service. Won't be back.. sadly. Go to Riga Tony's down the street for delicious, consistent food and drink at affordable prices with ALWAYS friendly service and you will comfortably be able to DINE! So our reservation was at 8:30 on a Friday night and we later found the restaurant closes at 9 and we were supposed to order whatever food we needed in those 30min. I just wish the restaurant stops taking reservations past 8 or maybe 8:15 at max. When you are with a party of 4 or 5 people it's impossible to order all the food in under 30minutes. Coming to the food, SEAFOOD RAVIOLI was amazing. Don't order white pizza, calamari, they aren't that great. They have amai v wine collection, which I loved. Food and ambiance were exceptional. The only complaint I have is that there is only one handicap parking spot on the whole parking lot. As two seniors with a handicap I find it to be very unfriendly to have 6 or 7 spots dedicated to curb side pick up and only one handicap spot. I'm not sure that is actually legal. The restaurant is a dine in restaurant not a fast food take out place. A little more consideration for the handicapped would be greatly appreciated. read more

Went with a large group. They offered a limited menu, which worked well. By limiting the number of choices their level of service remained high. Everyone was happy with the selection of choices. The food came out quickly and was hot and tasty. I've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed my food. Quality was not compromised with our large group. read more

Was at this restaurant about a year and half ago and the service is still the same in the area of servers. Training is needed for the servers and hostess. Food was excellent. Management needs to train them and or higher more experienced servers. To enjoy an good meal like this the service should be as good. We will try one more time, Terrible Service..... Had dinner there tonight with the family. Ordered chicken marsala and decided that was not a good choice. The chicken was tender but the sauce was very watery and flavorless. The other dishes ordered were good but not as warm as they should have been. The bread was delicious and plentiful. Our waiter was pleasant and did not hurry us too much but felt a little rushed. The chairs are very. very, very uncomfortable. Will try again one more time and bring a pillow to sit on. read more

I am so bummed about my experiance tonight. We were craving Italian food so looked at Vincitorio's and RigaTony's. Ended up ordering online from Vincitorio's. I ordered $80.80 of food and tipped 15%, which was $12.12 on a To-Go order. With tax it was $100.84. I ordered at 7:26PM today, Thursday. Immediately I got a confirmation text that our order would be ready between 7:41 and 7:56. We live 1 mile from the restaurant. My husband walked in and said we had food to go, gave both of our names was told no such order existed. (Rather than call me, he drove the 2 miles to RigaTonys who obviously didn't have our order, yes he should have called me first...) He went back to Vincitorio's and they said again no order had been made. It was currently 8:40. He then showed them the receipt of our order and they said they would start the order. He asked how this mixup happened, should we order directly from you verses going through your online ordering? They said there was nothing they could do because we ordered through Slice and we would need to deal with them, so I downloaded the app, connected to a text complaint forum and within 30 seconds it kicked me out of the conversation, 4 times. I then spoke in simple sentences. Restaurant didn't have order. Restaurant blamed you. Would like compensation for my hour lost. Communication breakdown between App and restaurant, not my problem. The restaurant did say they would take off the tip as a solution.... We tipped the staff, why would we want that? Apparently someone is giving us 20% back. Slice said it's not them.... Not sure how the restaurant could, our payment went through the slice app. I've been in food service for 30 years, things happen, people and computers mess up and it's ok. What shocks me is zero accountability, zero "I'm sorry", zero "let us fix this". I can't wait to see how my 20% back appears... and from who. read more

Our family had a nice time here on Father's Day. It's in a very unassuming spot in a strip mall but once inside you'd never know that's where you were. The atmosphere is cozy and home to a lot of locals. I had the delicious seafood ravioli and would order it again next time, it was very filling. We had incredibly friendly and attentive service. Horrible. Arrived early for a 6:15pm reservation. Were told we would be seated after a couple tables cleared out. As we waited beyond our reservation time, we noticed people being seated ahead of us. I stepped up and spoke to "Ginger" - seems to be the manager, but she really needs to find a new line of work where her beastly personality might be a better fit - said we were still in line and waiting for tables to clear. It was not until we had been waiting at least 15 minutes after our reservation that Ginger admitted she had been seating walk ins on the patio ahead of us. We were never offered to sit on patio, and when we complained Ginger made a snide remark. The final straw: after waiting nearly 30 minutes, Ginger seated a couple who we heard their reservation time was 15 minutes after ours. Walked out and had a nice meal at another nearby Italian restaurant instead where at least we were treated civilly and got our table when promised. Won't be going back, which is sad because this is otherwise a nice neighborhood restaurant. The owner would be wise to sit Ginger down and do a major retooling of her personality and/or provide her some remedial courses on hostessing and customer service. read more

My husband I request Vincitorios at least 5 to 6 times year. We bring friends with us who have not tried, as thisttas a favorite place we enjoyed since 1990 when it was called Longintanos. We followed them from Chandler to this Tempe location. The last two times, we have been disappointed, First time we thought, maybe a bad night for the staff. But last night ... we had a party of 8. None of our friends have been there before. I called three hours earlier to verify our reservation, they even confirmed with a text. Then when we arrived, two couples were sitting already and it was a table for 6. First mistake, but no problem, we changed tables to a corner area. Then, we ordered our drinks ... my husband and one friend ordered same drink, didn't bring one and then when they ordered another, didn't bring the second one. We ordered our food. I ordered the Seafood F... and the calamari was chewy, I felt like I was chewing on a rubberband. One got the Lamb special, it was bland. The pizzas were good and so was the chicken parm, no other complained. But none said they'd come back either. I am not sure what's going on but the whole experience was off. Maybe management is hard to work with, no one seemed happy, no smiles. Also, the place should have the AC set at 80°, it was warm for a busy time of night. And sittingn8nin a corner with no air flow as ceiling fans were not on near us, it was HOT! I walked out of there with wet hair from sweating. I'm so glad I tried this place. Being from Chicago it's been really difficult to find good Italian food here. Lots of recommendations from people have all been pretty disappointing, but this place was a great find! Prices are excellent, service, and food as well. I cannot wait to go back, I wish I lived closer, because I would be a regular customer. I had the gnocchi with the marinara, my dad had the lasagna and he really enjoyed it.
