My family and I went to Vince's in Ontario often. Vince's tastes like home to me! My mom now lives in San Diego, so when my daughter came home from leave from the Navy, we went to the Temecula location as a "meet in the middle" compromise. How sad. We shouldn't have compromised. Our server was sweet as can be. The female bus girl was adorable and kind. Our order was correct and we were well taken care of. She assured us that the recipes are exactly the same. No. They aren't. Soup-good. Salad and dressing- good. Spaghetti-No. The pasta was over cooked and mushy, tomato sauce tasted like jarred. I would liken it to Chef Boy R Dee. I am so disappointed. Came in with a friend who was adamant that I try this spot, We were quickly allowed to sit where we wanted upon entering, server was fast and immediately took our drink orders, after a brief wait of maybe 2 minutes we had our drinks and were placing food orders, ordered French dip sandwiches with salads, the salads came out quickly as well and was delicious (ranch is on point), after about another very brief roughly 5 minute wait came heaven on a plate, the French dips bread was perfectly crispy, the meat piled up and delicious melted provolone to top it off, the au jus is unlike anything I've ever had, rich and hearty with shreds of beef in it, almost like a stew consistency, incredible flavor!! Just picked up a pint of meat sauce. I go there approximately once a month. Today in the Drive-Thru, I received my meat sauce and I asked for some extra parmesan. I paid for my order and once again ask for some extra parmesan. The employee tells me I already have an extra one there's two in the bag. Well there is always two in the bag that's why I asked for extra. He explains to me you get one and there's one extra so you get two. I just shake my head and drive off. Sometimes I wonder why places fail and they lose customers, why these businesses can sit empty while other restaurants are packed ! read more

Went through drive-thru last night and did not realize they did not give me my credit card back until today. I called and guy was unapologetic, said it happens, like no big deal. Took me going 4 places in AM and then an hour round trip to drive back to them to get my card back, so it was a big deal to me. When I went inside, no apology - they didn't want to hear it. Tried to call manager bit then the girl there inside answered and cut me off and said I had my card, nothing else she could do, said nothing nice, and the thing is, this was not the first time I had a problem with their express drive-thru. It was actually the 3rd. An apology and coupon for even 10% off next visit would have been appropriate and brought me back, but I think they are defensive and get rude about their drive-thru because they have many complaints. customer service was not great at all, and the worker needs to be told her attitude should improve. read more

I really like the meatball and the sausage sandwiches, as well as the spaghetti and meat sauce. I go through the drive thru, and service is pretty quick. My only criticism, and what's keeping it from being five stars, is that while you get a lot of spag noodles there's never enough sauce for it, and even though I order a couple of sausages to cut up and mix in, the overall flavor is too diluted. I suppose I could buy a half pint of sauce for $3.50, but then it's getting really expensive, especially considering that mostly what I'm paying for is noodles. read more

My family and I LOVE Vince's. Food is always good and we always have leftovers which are even great the next day. We eat inside and go through the drive thru. The service is not terrible, I do think it could be better but I don't think they have enough staff which is why the service is the way it is. But anytime we asked our waitress for anything she was more than willing and very nice. The drive thru we never really had any issues except the last two times. One time they forgot our bread and another time we ordered a side of shredded provolone and they forgot that. I understand mistakes happen and besides those few times we have never had a bad experience and we will always be back to support a small business. read more

I went to get spaghetti to go because I'm staying at a local hotel room unfortunately no napkins no fork. So I spent almost $20 and left a tip how does it go restaurant how many supposed to eat my food tonight with my fingers really very very difficult so I called the restaurant and she told me, "hun let me give you a meatball". Wow Vince's has some really amazing old style Italian recipes! The meatball sandwich had huge super tasty meatballs, the bread was crusty and garlic-ee :) The lasagna was dyanamite!! A hefty portion and the different ingredients just pop with flavor. Seriously one of the best lasagnas I've ever had! Drive through was chill, the attendee wasn't super friendly but he wasn't rude either. The food was so good that it didn't matter at all haha. Vince spaghetti was worth the stop at. We was greeted and we sat down fast. Place is great for families. Place cooks fresh food. It has a lot of history and you can tell they have been in business for a very long tyme. Kids and wife had the spaghetti. I ordered a meatball sandwich which was very good. There drinks on the soda side are bottomless. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restroom was clean. Plenty of parking here. Stop by. Oh you can walk in or they have a drive through also. I've lived in the area for 9 years and have seen the place so many times, but never tried it. Oh my gosh, have I been missing out! Last week we ordered a half order of spaghetti with meat sauce and added a meatball. It was still a very large portion, and sooooo delicious! Sauce was rich & flavorful and the meatball was tender and yummy! It came with garlic bread which was also delish! Today we got the spaghetti again, but decided to try the French dip sandwich. No quality control at this location - you know that saying "they screw you in the drive they?" It's like they wrote that just about this place. Drive through last night - ordered a meatball sandwich, 2 spaghetti dinners and extra bread. The sandwich was dry, I got no extra bread, got a ton of pasta and *maybe 1/3 cup of sauce on top. Not even close to enough to sauce up that pasta. Cost me $50 and for what? We love Vince's but I could have made better dinner for $10 with a jar of Prego. Super disappointing and won't drive thru here again. I see a lot of people have similar complaints. If you eat here, check your order before you walk or drive away. read more

Started going to the original Ontario Vince's in 1974. I have eaten there at least 1100 times and still enjoy their menu. The Temecula store is just as fantastic as the original. My wife and I always get the dinner special, spaghetti with meat sauce, blue cheese salad, soup and garlic bread. We can never finish all the spaghetti which is just fine as we take it home for lunch the next day. We both think it tastes even better the next day. read more

My husband introduced me to Vince's in the early 90s, but it has been his favorite since he was a young boy. When we moved to the Temecula area a few years ago, we were beyond happy that there was an express location there. The food was always consistently wonderful and was always a great value and that is why we always returned. However, on a recent visit, there was a note on the table apologizing for having to raise the prices in order to stay in business, and like most restaurants, it's expected in these times. But when we saw the menu, we just about spit out our drinks. I can understand a dollar or two per meal, but the prices are nearly $5 more! Seriously? $25 for spaghetti and one meatball? Come on now. And why is this small location so much more than Ontario? Sadly, you are going to lose customers and that will definitely affect your business, because people can no longer afford to dine out. We are so disappointed. Vince's is no longer a value and while the food is good, not worth that price. So very sad. read more

Visited. 12/17/201 Wow what a surprise. Who would've ever thought a drive-through spaghetti joint could be so good. There's a fair amount of tables and booths inside for dining in this casual pasta restaurant. Plenty of free parking. Service was very good and I must thank my waitress Bridget for taking very good care of me. About the food. The salad was iced cold and very fresh. The minestrone soup was very tasty. The House made meatballs were very good and highly recommended. Housemaid Italian sausage was pretty good but not awesome. The garlic rolls were just OK and could use a lot more garlic. Now to the baked provolone cheese covered spaghetti. First it's not listed on the menu you must ask. They put a ton of cheese on top almost too much. See my photos. A full order is enough to feed at least two possibly three. Recommend getting a half order and that's still a lot. This is the first spaghetti house I've ever seen have a full drive-through take out. I have been eating at the Vince's Spaghetti in Torrance forever and always take everyone I meet there. What a joy to find another location here in Temecula! Same outrageously great meat sauce. The menu offers a few different things than in Torrance, and I noticed a bit of difference in the cheese bread and the lasagne, but everything was still amazing. A great addition is the drive-thru so when you are tired from wine tasting all day you can just take your food back to the room. Visited Feb 2013 Wanted to update my review after another recent visit to Vince's Spaghetti Express. This time we were only in town for the day and ordered a crazy amount of sauce, soup and lasagne to take home. The waiter was so patient while we "discussed" how many gallons of sauce to take home. The sauce and the soup both freeze very well and are almost as good when thawed to eat later. We ended up with a gallon of sauce and two quarts of soup. The sauce was wonderfully divided into quart containers for easy freezing. And of course we had to eat there for dinner as well. My mouth is watering as I write this. IMO you should not feel the pressure to tip at a drive thru. Then get slow service when you do as if the drive thru worker did not believe the amount of your tip was worthy enough for quicker service. They then take their time to give you your food as punishment. You drove your own car to pick up your food. The tipping culture is out of control! read more

3 & 1/2 stars. Took my wife here for lunch. I had the 1/2 plate of spaghetti and she had the lunch size portion. It was a perfect size for us. It came with soup or salad and bread (cheese or garlic). My wife had the soup and said it was tasty. I had a salad and it could have been a little fresher, just greens and nothing else, no tomatoes, olives or anything else...hummmm? Seemed kinda small too... We both had the meat sauce on our spaghetti and it tasted okay, but maybe just a little overdone.... or cooked too long perhaps. The sauce I cook at home is better. The waiter was wonderful and very accomodating. She said the original Vince's is in Ontario and has been in business for 60 years. The Temecula Vince's is owned by the son.
