Dr. Henriod is a master at his craft. The office is pristine, the staff is friendly and the appointments are honored in a timely manner. The Star Trek style high tech gadgets are cool too. I scheduled a new patient consult after confirming multiple times with the office that the visit…read morewould be fully covered by my insurance. I specifically asked before booking, at check-in, and again after the appointment. The visit itself lasted about 1-2 minutes. The dentist performed a brief visual exam and told me everything looked fine. No periodontal probing, charting, or treatment planning was done. The office initially billed my insurance under a comprehensive periodontal evaluation code, which did not reflect the services performed. After I questioned it, they resubmitted the claim under a limited exam code, which was then denied due to frequency limitations. I was ultimately required to pay $50 to avoid collections. What disappointed me most was not just the billing issue, but the lack of empathy when I raised concerns to "Rafi". There was no acknowledgment of the miscommunication or incorrect initial coding .. just a firm statement that it was "my responsibility." Clear communication about coverage and better billing transparency would have prevented this situation. I hope the office improves this process for future patients. very disappointed.

Dr. Cooper has been so good to me over the years, with wonderful work (including right before my wedding!) and reasonable prices. Dr. Lee has taken over my care, and she is awesome! However, I had to sign a release stating that I would never ask for anything more from them for the surgery error they made going forward. I begrudgingly signed, not knowing that also meant I could not post anything on Yelp or other sites telling the TRUTH about my experiences with this office, so others would know the full picture of this business. Naively I posted an update (below) but still said that I don't believe they are "bad people," trying to be fair to them. My update was not inflammatory or anything. Just the facts. So then her office manager, Kimberlee, called me the next day saying they now would NOT refund me the surgery costs unless I removed the TRUE FACTUAL EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THIS DENTIST on Yelp. Wow. The fact that they want to keep this mistake that was made from the general public makes it clear that all they really care about is good reviews and will stop at nothing to get the truth out to the public. Very shocking behavior. ORIGINAL UPDATE: Wanted to update my review from last year because I ended up having ongoing pain and discomfort from one of the surgery sites. I lost previously healthy gum and do not believe that I received a fair response from the doctor afterwards. I don't believe they are bad people here, but I do believe they don't always operate fairly or give enough information to the patients. The doctor made an error that resulted in me having a lifelong issue and pain but simply responded with "these things can happen". I asked for a refund for my surgery, which they are supposed to be giving me, but I feel that something for the permanent damage and discomfort that I'm in would not be unreasonable. Was very disappointed and wish I had known in advance that this surgery was unnecessary for the issue I was having, and that it would cause permanent damage elsewhere in my mouth.

Dr. Henriod is hands down the best doctor I've ever been to in my life!…read more When I came to Dr. Henriod I was in excruciating pain. I had cracked a tooth and my dentist had sent me to a root canal specialist. The root canal specialist tried to numb me twice but even after the second dose I was in extreme pain anytime he touched my cracked tooth. My mom had had a similar problem before and recommended me to Dr. Henriod who she really liked. When I came to Dr. Henriod, first of all the parking is SUPER easy and convenient. The office has its own private lot right in front of the building, so no worrying about trying to find parking or having to park in some garage and figure out how to get to the office. Secondly, the office itself is very comforting. The high ceilings and cozy atmosphere make you feel at ease when you are undoubtedly in pain. All of the office fixtures are well kept and clean and there's little touches like a coffee machine that really make the place feel welcoming. Next is the office staff. Dr. Henriod has some really great office staff who are not only friendly and helpful, but also intelligent and perceptive. I can't tell you how many dr.'s offices I've been to who are good doctors but the office staff is unfriendly and not pleasant to work with. Not Dr. Henriod's staff, they are all very welcoming and also great at explaining things and answering questions. I had to come in several times for my procedures and the whole process of scheduling appointments and rescheduling when necessary was always a pleasant one. One thing I really appreciated is that after my initial consultation, a staff member sat me in an office and walked me through line by line what the costs of my procedure would be for the implant. They were very upfront and transparent about the costs and there were no hidden fees or upsells or anything like that. They also were great about working with me to try to bill insurance so that my own personal costs would be lower. Finally, and most importantly, is Dr. Henriod's skill at what he does. For the amount of pain I was in, I can't imagine anyone else extracting my tooth. He is very personable and really gives off an aura that makes you feel comfortable entrusting him to do a good job. He very skillfully handled the entire procedure and his constant words of encouragement and communication with me really made the process more bearable. Even though I couldn't actually see my mouth, Henriod's motions just felt very practiced and precise, more than any dentist I've been to. Based on that experience alone I would recommend Dr. Henriod, but it doesn't stop there. After getting my tooth extracted, Dr. Henriod also put in an implant, which was a painful process but Dr. Henriod really made it the best it could be. After my implant was done he sent me to my own dentist to have a crown done. When the mold for the crown was being taken the process was very lengthy and uncomfortable. When the crown was put in the process was also difficult and the crown just felt "off" as it would move around a little when I chewed. Later on I started having a lot of pain in that area and I went back to my dentist who sent me back to Dr. Henriod who informed me that it had gotten infected because the crown was not in properly. Dr. Henriod gave me some meds to tame in infection then told me to come back to get a new implant done. When I came back the second time he said my gums actually looked okay and that I could just get a new crown, but rather than send me back to my dentist who botched my first crown he did it right there on the spot for free! I was shocked at I paid my dentist quite a pretty penny to do my crown. I wanted Dr. Henriod to do the crown either way and would have been happy to pay but when I left everyone just wished me the best and I was on my way. Here's the thing, when my dentist (who I've been going to for years and i've had many procedures done with and is very highly reviewed on yelp by the way) was doing my implant it just felt clunky and not smooth, but when Dr. Henriod did it it was quick and easy. Not just the part about putting in the crown itself, but also the process of taking the mold for the crown. Having that side by side comparison of the same procedure made me really appreciate how skillful Dr. Henriod is. Anyway, long story short, Dr. Henriod is a man of true character and I would trust him with anything. He offers a money back guarantee that if something happens with your procedure he'll re-do it for free, and he really backed that up in my case when he went above and beyond to fix what my dentist had messed up. If you are looking for a periodontist and can't decide where to go you need to stop searching and just go to Dr. Henriod.
