Dr. Pak goes above and beyond in periodontal care. I've been with his practice since 2012 for periodontal cleanings, which he performs himself. I have great sensitivity, so he found a topical gel that allows him to clean more thoroughly and allows me to not wince. Now I'm at the point that I need implants. It's been a process, but he's given me attention and instructions throughout. He's very meticulous and caring in his approach to dentistry. He checks in frequently during procedures to see how I'm doing. He's concerned about accurate placement and works to solve problems. I waited to write this review until the process of getting dental implants is completed . I needed 2 dental implants on upper front area after damage done by grinding and other issues. I've seen other dentists for consultation and decided to go with Dr Pak. What I can guarantee you is that Dr Pak will assess and give you honest and fair dental plan . The procedure is not rushed . Dr Pak makes sure that the implant placement is done correctly. He allows enough time for healing , proper bone graft placement and all other necessary steps. It's a lengthy process for a reason. I truly believe that implants will last for a very long time because they're done the right way. I won't discuss the procedure because everyone's case is different, healing process , pain threshold is also different for everyone . To be honest, Dr. Pak is an uneducated charlatan! I went there one year ago for dental implant. He extracted the tooth and did the bone graft on March 2018. I waited 3 months to place the implant. Went back there on May, he opened the tissue and there was no bone! During check ups, he never told me that there's an issue!!He filled out the tissue for the second time taking my own blood & mixing with bone! Again, after 3 months, I went back and he did CT scan and again not enough bone for implant!!! I was suspicious that something was wrong! I checked with different Doctors who told me that's a BS! Finally, I picked another Dr and they did it for me perfectly! Apparently, he doesn't know shit about implants! Besides, after all suffering and pain he wanted to rip off and charge me another $3200!!! Believe me, he is a charlatan! Stay away from this office!! read more

So happy to have found dr. Pak. Dr. Pak and his wife are the friendliest people. The office has such nice warm vibes. I love the windows in the operating rooms that look out into lush trees. Dr. Pak is very communicative and is really great at explaining everything. My past experiences with dentists are either alarmingly silent and gets right into business or are talkative but feel like they are scolding you for not taking better care of your teeth. You can tell Dr. Pak cares and does what needs to be done without unnecessary procedures or additional visits. Many places I went to told me a needed to get a lot of work done for "preventative" reasons just to make more $$$. But Dr. Pak has never pressured me and said my teeth are doing just fine. Dr. Mark J. Pak and his staff are AWESOME!!! My dentist, Dr. Brian Cho, referred me to him. I've always dreaded going to the dentist, but now I actually look forward to my appointments with him. He did my deep cleaning, tooth extraction, bone graft, and implant placement. For many years, my gums were in the worst condition- they were swollen, inflamed, sensitive, and bled nonstop when I brushed and flossed. I couldn't even chew, brush, or floss without crying in pain. I finally reached a point where I just couldn't put it off any longer. Thankfully, Dr. Pak put an end to my misery. After the deep cleaning, all those problems disappeared and now my gums are the healthiest it's ever been. I still can't believe in the dramatic improvements! Because of these incredible results, I knew I was in great hands and knew I could trust him to do an amazing job with all my other procedures. And he did! Initially, I was worried about the pain due to traumatic experiences I've had in the past with other dentists, but Dr. Pak always reassured me that he will never start a procedure until I was completely numb. He never hesitated to add more anesthesia if needed. He is extremely patient and understanding. I honestly have never felt so relaxed and comfortable at a dentist office. Sometimes I really feel like I'm at a spa. I think it's a combination of his soft tone of voice, classical music playing in the background, super comfortable reclining chairs, and window views of the Foothill mountains and trees. The bathroom is beautifully decorated with luxurious finishes and accents. Everything in his office is immaculate. Hopefully my gums and teeth will stay healthy for a long time. But if I ever need another major procedure done in the future, Dr. Pak will be my #1 choice. In the meantime, I will continue to refer him to my friends if they need a periodontist. I visited Dr. Pak today for a follow up procedure. As always, he is very thorough in explaining the operation procedure and post-operation cautionary for me to adhere to. I just saw the negative post from a disgruntled patient & her husband who obviously didn't follow his post-op instructions. In my opinion, following his recommended instruction is very important and the responsibility of the patient. I've had three implants from Dr. Pak and he's always been nothing but professional. Dr. Pak performed an extraction, graft, and implant. He walked me through the procedures in great detail beforehand so that I knew what I was getting into. All procedures were comfortable and pain-free. His instructions for recovery were very clear, and his office always gave me a follow up call a few days into recovery to see how I was doing, which was very thoughtful. A couple of times, I did have some concerns during healing, and they were kind enough to squeeze me in to make sure that everything looked okay. I was referred by my dentist for an implant procedure that was too challenging for him to finish. When I had called the office, everything just went seamlessly and so smooth. Dr, Pak and I spent a lot of time together - I did an implant on my front tooth. This required extraction of the old tooth, a denture (flipper), a bone/graft, the actual implant, and some sculpting of the gumline. The implant crown was done by Dr. Ho (my dentist, who referred me to Dr. Pak). This was done over the course of a few months (to allow healing) and every interaction with him and his office was a pleasant as possible (given it is dental work, right?). He is knowledgeable and skilled, but what I did like is is attention to detail and his commitment to doing it right. I never felt like he was rushing to get it done so he could move on to the next person. An implant is not cheap - but doing it wrong will cost you a lot more than just money. He was not the most expensive, nor the least, but I did not want to trust my mouth and health to a discount dentist with an cheapo ad in the paper. I am glad I went to Dr Pak, and I would go again. I was referred to Dr. Pak for a dental implant and I'm so glad I went with him. From the first appointment to the last, he made sure I wasn't feeling any discomfort or pain during my procedure. After several appointments my implant was done and honestly I wouldn't have known the difference of whether it was done properly or not. As long as I didn't have pain I was fine. But it was when I went to my primary dentist appointment that I knew this procedure went perfect. He says I have a "high pain threshhold" but I think he is just really skilled. Of a whole bottle of pain killers I took two, and I was fine. About a month ago I was referred to Dr. Pak for a small growth above my gumline that needed to be addressed. I didn't have insurance but I can still say I definitely recommend his services. I was given the option to split up my payment and the office approved. From the first moment in the door his staff was has been informative, professional, friendly, and accommodating. Dr. Pak went to work on me the same day as I visited him, making time for my minor operation since it was considered potentially an immediate concern. He explained the possible reasons for the growth, and I was informed of the likely and unlikely outcomes from the lab sample that would be sent off later that day. The numbing was very precise and virtually painless in the front of my mouth --something I hadn't experienced before. A small portion of my gum above my eye tooth was removed and I was instructed on how to care for the area while it was sutured up for about a week. Fortunately the lab results came back with no other concerns. But since then Dr. Pak has taken great care to make sure the initial procedure will heal properly and no problems will recur. To that end, he has given clear dental care of the area and made sure that my pathway forward will be healthy. Again I would not hesitate to recommend his overall care. read more
