I had an accident that chipped both of my front teeth and unfortunately killed the nerves. The first dentist I saw recommended pulling both teeth and replacing them with implants, which felt like a drastic and unnecessary step. Thankfully, I went to Dr. Meserkhani for a second opinion--and I'm so glad I did. He was able to save both teeth with root canals. Dr. Abrishami, the endodontist, performed the root canals, and the experience was surprisingly easy and painless. He's incredibly skilled and also very friendly, which helped me feel at ease right away. Throughout the process, Dr. Arbi Aboolian also worked on my teeth and was just as professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Everyone I interacted with made me feel confident I was in good hands. After the root canals, Dr. Meserkhani placed a crown on one tooth and a veneer on the other. The results are amazing--my front teeth look identical, natural, and beautifully done. I highly recommend the practice. They're able to handle complex cases and don't sugarcoat but are able to get it done and often more quickly than the estimated timeline. They also prioritize not having to remove teeth, making it less intimidating. The staff is supportive, understanding and accommodating. Shout out to Tamar! Much of the team are patients of the practice themselves, putting you at ease and serving as an example. They have top of the line equipment and several locations and both the Glendale and Pasadena facilities are clean (I haven't been to the third one but I'm sure it is too). Dr Artin who always is in good humor no matter the stress or workload puts you at ease and strategizes about the best options to move things forward. He practices with his brother, Dr Vahik, who is also a complete expert. The family covers several areas in dentistry and ortho, so you are well taken care of. Most knowledgeable group of professionals I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Let me start by saying, when I called to make my appointment I spoke with Sonia and she was very sweet and informative by answering all my questions. I need extensive dental treatment including, dental implants, root canals, fillings and deep cleaning....so I had a lot of questions!! During my appointment I met with all the doctors; Dr Meserkhani, Dr Aboolian, Dr Farah. Which surprised me because I didn't know I was going to see so many experts on my initial appointment. After receiving my plan, they recommended I start with a deep cleaning and laser treatment for my gums... honestly the laser treatment was THE BEST & pain less!!! I saw the results immediately the next day, my gums turned pink and stopped bleeding & MY BAD BREATH WENT AWAY!! I am so thankful I found an honest group of dentists. I would like to add that they are a specialty practice and the fees are higher than your average Dentist. I had to pay for the laser out of my pocket which cost $1200 But I do believe that the best money you can spend, is in your teeth!! One more thing for everyone to know.... Is it's noticeable that this office is providing a lot of treatment/services that other offices are not capable of doing because they have an in-house laboratory located right across the hallway in the same building. Let me give a shout out to Dr. G, who is only here on Tuesdays for delta dental patients, and back in montrose otherwise. I wish this was just Dr. G's practice, which I'd be certainly giving 5 stars. Unfortunately, I'm not loving the feel of this group between staff speaking unprofessionally loudly and quite unfavorably about patients (with names), for all waiting room patients to hear, staff rushing and pushing me to make decisions, hygienist not even close to Dr. G's nimble touch hygienist & then botching my X-Rays (not something you want to keep repeating to 'get it right', btw), and sadly, I could go on and on). Dr. G, on the other hand, we absolutely love and could sing his high praises from the mountain tops, as he has been our family dentist well over 25 years. I had initially scheduled and had to reschedule twice. Upon arrival, the office was very scattered and disorganized. After taking x-rays, the doctor without consulting with me, assumed all rights to make decisions on my behalf with a plan that exceeded $12,000. He was in a rush and I did not feel like he took the time to walk me through things. Any consulting should be personable and collaborative, with the patient's consensus. I drove from Woodland Hills to Glendale to experience a lackluster, rushed doctor with limited communication skills and explanations. I originally came here for one crown. There was no explanation of what materials were used and I had to reel the staff in on the priority. Once the doctor left, I was then left to speak with Sonya, who was just a robot version of the doctor, and I asked as many questions as I could. She was aware I had insurance, but I had to remind her to submit a Pre-determination to my insurance company. Then it should re-estimate what I owe out of pocket and what's covered. I've never received that information as of today and this was done on 3/20/23. Upon calling, Sonya continued to say she couldn't verify my insurance. Hmmm my Ortho office that works with this office was able to verify it. When I called her out on her unprofessionalism, ignorance and incompetency, she rebuttled aggressively. What a joke that she's the office manager LOL. MY ADVICE IS GO ELSEWHERE TO A DOCTOR WHO KNOWS WHAT PRIORITIES BENEFIT THE CLIENT VERSUS ONLY PRIORITIZING WORK THAT BENEFITS HIS EXPERTISE. Everything is reflected from top down, so when you have a doctor who lacks accountability and integrity within his field and work space, to prioritize thorough communication and explanations, then you have an office manager like Sonya with zero personable skills who mirrors such unprofessional demeanor. WHAT STRIKES ME ODD, IS THERE WAS AN INFECTION THEY DETECTED AND THEY STILL PRIORITIZED CROWN WORK?! I'm glad to go to an actual dental office with an Endo, who said the infection is priority. They focused on the one permanent implant I originally needed to start work on to complete my Ortho treatment. Thank God I went elsewhere for a second opinion vs waiting and having to call this lackluster office staff for information that they should be trained properly to get and follow up. I cannot say how pleased I am with the exceptional quality of care (and service) I received from Dr. Meserkhani and his office staff (including Sonia). I would like to share my positive experience as follows: A few weeks ago, my front tooth crown fell off and I was in dire need to see a dental specialist to consult on a possible long-term solution to my missing front tooth. I wanted to find an expert dental implant specialist to whom I could fully entrust my front tooth. {[How I found about Dr. Meserkhani: Upon research, I came across a website (www.aaid-implant.org) for American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), a professional organization that credentials specialists in implant dentistry. I read that to earn AAID credentials, dentists must meet rigorous qualifications demonstrating deep knowledge and critical skills essential to successfully placing implants and replacement teeth. I found out about Dr. Meserkhani through the AAID website. I chose to entrust my front tooth to Dr. Meserkhani, as the AAID website stated he has earned the highest level of credentials by AAID - "ABOI/ID Diplomate" (The American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry Diplomate).]} Sonia was friendly, professional, and helpful in providing me with my first consultation appointment, as well as subsequent visits. Dr. Meserkhani proved to be not only an expert in the implant dentisty, but also a pleasant, friendly, and caring professional. One thing I found to be clear was that Dr. Meserkhani loves his work with his patients. I also appreciate the fact that he not only practices implant dentistry, but also teaches and trains others in his field, as well as publishes his work, indicating he keeps abreast of the latest research and development in his field. My dental implant procedure went successfully (see attached photo of before and after). The implant was placed beautifully and a temporary tooth that looks exactly like my natural teeth, (perhaps even better) was placed that same day, until a permanent tooth is placed in three months. The recovery process post-implant was smooth, no pain and no swelling. I look forward to returning to his office to obtain a permanent tooth in three months. (What I also liked about Dr. Meserkhani's office is that there is a dental laboratory on the same floor across his office.) Overall, I am extremely grateful and happy with how my dental implant on the front tooth came out. I made the right decision to entrust my missing front tooth to Dr. Meserkhani. Dr Meserkhani found an infection, upper right tooth which was extracted immediately in his office. At the same time I was having eye surgery to remove cataracts. If you need the best dentist team to do it RIGHT the first time.... if you are anxious, like me, and want dentistry with sedation... then give yourself a huge blessing and call Dr. Meserkhani's office! His specialized team will take care of you in a way you have never before experienced. I don't know about you, but I am of the belief that if I'm going to do something, I want to do it right the first time! Especially when it comes to my TEETH! I have learned the hard way. I'm 64 years young, and I have had A LOT of work done on my teeth. For example, a few years ago, I paid thousands of dollars cash for a four-tooth bridge ...only to have it break. Prior to meeting the team at Mr. Meserkhani's office, I went to three other dentists for opinions. I knew I needed a lot of work and the problems I was experiencing had to be done right this time! I had bite issues, old bridges, cracked caps, and pain coming from a couple of teeth! I got used to chewing only on one side and still would feel pain! One of the bridges I had in the front bottom, I had since I was 12 years old! In the past, I have experienced dentists viewing each tooth issue separately, fixing the individual problem tooth (or teeth) without considering the goals of the whole mouth, bite, bone, and ultimately an agreed upon vision. I ended up just putting out fires and subsequently, that came with a mouthful of many different shades of teeth. (oy ) I had made up my mind, I was on the hunt for a dentist who had the specialized training, experience, and caring. I made my consult appointment with Dr. Meserkhani! My first appointment was welcoming, assuring, informative, enlightening, and to say the least, thorough! A full consult! CT scan, thorough check-up, exrays, impressions, pictures, a tour of the office, and oh by the way... a dedicated lab... right next door! Dr. M let me know of all my options, based on my budget. I could do a little, a lot... or somewhere in between! He made it comfortable for me, without any pressure. I met Dr. Aboolian. Affectionately now known as Dr. M and Dr. A! My God! After all my searching, finally, I felt confident in my decision! The work I had was with Dr. Aboolian, while I continuously had conversations with Dr. M! Each appointment, I continued to experience the consistency of their dedication, kindness, and caring. From the front office staff to the back office, across the board, the hygienist ... OMG! They continuously made me feel heard and cared for. I felt a good energy, like a vortex. I have grown to love my Dr. A! He is a MASTER in his field and if you need sedation, he is your guy too! Also, I told him I thought he should do stand-up! He has made me laugh so much!! Just for fun, compliment his ears when you see him! LOL Who would have thought I would actually look forward to my dentist appointments? I also experienced implants for the first time! Amazing! I have attached a picture of Dr. A, Dr. M and me. Even if you have bone missing, they can fix that too! In my case, my bone shrunk and Dr. M is able to enlarge it... something this quite a specialty. They are state-of-the-art. If it is a new technology, you will find it at Dr. M's office. Thank God for sedation, and the nitrous! Above all, Dr. A's sense of humor and his velvet voice helps me get through each appointment. My experience of Dr. M, Dr. A, and his wonderful team in Glendale AND Pasadena offices... summed up in one word ... TRUST. They have me for life. I must share ... it was on my second or third time in the office, it was Dr. M's birthday. The whole office sang him happy birthday and it was so obvious how loved he was. I asked him, "Is it hard to take in so much love at once?" He smiled at me, kind of in a beautiful shy way. I remember thinking to myself, that the connection Dr. M has to his staff is quite special. I commented to Sonya (whom I just absolutely adore!) and she said, "We're like a big family here." It really touched me. When you find a good thing, you want to share it with the world! This dental group took over the practice of Dr Erwin, my previous dentist for 10+ years. I was assig ed to Dr. Sally whom I highly recommend. She is friendly and listens to the patient and i had 2 crowns ... pain free! However the front desk management of billing at the Glenoaks location (the practice they took over) is extremely poor. At the end of December they collected $1,497 stating this was the estimate based on i qiry to Dwlta Dental, my insurance company. Based on Delta's payment information sent to me in January this was way to much to charge me. They also had bills returned for incorrect ID numbers. I have called twice. I am still owed more than $ 1,000 as of 4/21. Will continue ti pursue my refund. read more
