"AMATEUR HOUR" BUSINESS--PLEASE AVOID THEM.
I really didn't want to leave this review, but I honestly wanted people to be aware of our experience so that they won't have to go through the same heartache and disappointment.
Firstly, I want to say that the proprietor was a nice gentleman from Ukraine. He was initially very helpful and gave us pretty favorable pricing, even though the terms of the pricing/payment-arrangement changed along the way.
Overall, the job(s) were finished, even though they took almost twice as long as predicted. But the worst part about this whole experience is that the owner seemingly used whatever reasoning available to NOT warranty his work. Furthermore, even after his post-PPF touch up was completed, there still were bubbles ALL OVER the car. I had mentioned that to him before he took the car in for the touch-up and he said he'd take care of it all--almost brushing it off.
While he did the touch-up, we agreed to paying him to do some minor tint work on the car, which he did. But after the fact, there were scratches on the tint that we pointed out to him. But I guess once he got our money and saw that there was not much else he could do for our car, he didn't even reply to our request to remedy the PPF bubbles and tint scratches.
The most bizarre part of this whole equation is that he got upset because we asked him to let us store what little leftover of the custom PPF that he ordered for us--a PPF roll that we paid for. We made the decision to ask him for the few feet of leftover mainly because he seemed to keep misplacing our removed car parts in addition to the fact that his shop was totally messy. We just couldn't see how he'd be able to fix/replace the wrap down the line with the way he kept his shop so disorganized.
Furthermore, upon researching, he used a PPF brand that we could not find anywhere online. And since it was such a custom finish, we wanted to make sure that the small remaining quantity could be saved and preserved should we need it again for a future fix. We've always been diligent about keeping car parts or extra materials/fluids for our autos, in the event we might need them down the line. At least, it seemed reasonable to us. But he used our request as the basis for not honoring any type of warranty going forward.
We tried to communicate at the end and gave him multiple chances to honor his work and do what turned out to be relatively minor fixes that a professional would easily do. But as nice as we were in asking to make this right, there was no reply--probably because there was no more money in it for him and he had already moved on to the next victim. And we weren't going to hang around and beg. He knew what was up and made his choice. Needless to say, we were shocked as well as disappointed. But that that point, we just wanted it to all be over. So, we took our wrap and went home and that was that...and are still trying to figure out how someone like that stays in business.
Fortunately, we found someone else really nice (and professional) to cure our bubble-trouble and tint-scratch-fever (sorry, I had to). It took him less than an hour and he came to us. He felt bad for what happened to us and didn't charge us for the fixes, so we asked him to tint another car, which turned out perfectly.
We're still scratching our heads as to how we could've gotten this so wrong. Yes, Vilno's locale was convenient, but from now on, we will never base our decision on location or convenience--especially when quality is most important. From here on out, we'll find the absolute best vendor and pay a little more for better work, even if we have to drive a little farther. And for this kind of work, you need professionals and not someone who leaves you with amateur work.
Really sorry to have to leave this honest review, but we hope it helps. read more
